You can see potential in Eric even back to his first drama Pheonix when I thought he eclipsed Lee Seo Jin. I can’t say I’m a fan of Eric yet but you can see it there. If Que Sera Sera has good acting I wanna check it out since I’m a sucker for good acting even if the writing is sucky. My post YB kdrama sights are pinpointed at What’s Up Fox but I haven’t started since I have taken the opportunity to catch up on work, life and christmas shopping.

Talking about anniversary, I was waken up two mornings ago by my hubby with a bunch of lillies. I asked him what’s up … only to realise that was our anniversary !! I was so hopeless even though totally immersed myself in romantic dramas all these times.

Haven’t you seen Que Sera Sera? I didn’t think Eric much until QSS – he was the first male Korean actor who moved me to tears. He surprised me big time in playing out – in a heartbreaking but understatement way – the internal turmoil driven by his own guilt and regret. Someone (Frac?) at the City Hall Ep 13 re-cap post compared JG’s role to Eric’s role in QSS which is kind of true to a certain point. The important point is he could carry the show beautifully if given the right material.

For your Thanksgiving ham bone- if it was a honey baked ham, you might want to rinse it twice ( boil it , dump out liquid, repeat a second time) to get the “sweet” honey taste out. Don’t worry….it will still be delish, and flavorful, just not “honey sweet” ( which tasted funny to me the first time I did it)

There’s a cute story behind this. When my lil one was 6, she got a stuffed pig for present. She, herself, declared pork-free diet because she didn’t want to eat “her friends”. She even gets upset with us when we get roast pork from Sam woo… So, with my new red meat free diet, we have also gone pork free, too ( with occasional cheating). Ummmm, 16 yo loves the pig rabbit, so are we also going to be rabbit meat free, too??? lol

and Alone inLove is my SYJ kdrama, it’s excellent.

Yeah my family have those hotpot ‘traditions’ as well. Actually for some odd reason, HKers are very into hotpot (but I went back last yr, I sweat in 70+ Christmas and peeps r wearing Northface). Even regular Seafood Restaurant which is usually serving dishes communal style have the option of going hotpot for your table. It’s very ‘festive’. I’m not into hotpot until all those numbingly spicy TW (ma la) ones were in vogue in HK. I’m literally craving Little Sheep’s (the lamb dumplings) or a ggori gom tang or a kim chi ji gae now!

btw I DEEPLY, VISERALLY cared about Nighto!! He was one perfect sex robotto that lowered himself to a mortal existence out of love for THAT Riiko.
Hiro was trillionX hotter in anything BUT ZK, he had a bird nest for his hair piece for the love of mankind!!! Yeah that Riiko can die, bring that soshi with you girl. I was BEYOND upset with that SP’s ending, don’t mention that word ‘okaeri’ I turn feral. I can never ever stand a character (or acting style) whose screentime was occupied by 80% the same wide doe-eyed ‘huh?!’, ignorant is bliss for them, but I want to poke at their eyes Miike style repeatedly (yes I’m lumping Hiro’s Soshi squarely there) even in those good old Long fr LV days Matsu Takako = Erika Toda (die!! and DIE!!)

Happy to hear you like it. At this moment, my brain is taking a good night sleep and I can’t recall much. All I can recall at this moment is Hiro’s perfectly buffed naked torso, he’s so gorgeous in this drama. Such pleasure to indulge….
