Happy Open Thread Holidays! Hope everyone has a joyous day today. I'm enjoying some peace and quiet while we wait for one boy to wake up and the other to arrive home. It's kind of wonderful. :-)

I'm trying to recover from the heartbreaking ep 8 of WISFC. My wish for sweet moments for the sake of Christmas wasn't fulfilled at all (T_T) Xmas is not really a big Holiday in my country, so I just stay home and enjoy some dramas (^_^) One more reason to stay home is that this year's decoration is super boring, don't wanna waste my time enjoying it. I'm heading home next month to enjoy a cooler New Year holiday :)

I'm off to make pancakes, crispy bacon, eggs and wait for the house to wake up. And then I have a date with 6 chipmunks. Everyone have a great time today, in OT or in real life!

I'm still on a Damo high, I wake up thinking about this drama, go to sleep thinking of this drama, and pretty much re-live it in my head all day long. It's an obsession alright. And I'm 6 years late to the Damo mania party. It's been fun catching up.

2009 have been pretty awesome drama-wise. I got into waching dramas gain after a 2 year hiatus so I've defintly watched a fair amount to make up for the lost time. I even have two favorite dramas now; Boys Over Flowers (sorta..) & You're Beautiful.

Now after New Years I got to start cracking at SAT :( Any words of advice or something fellow drama lovers?

I'm waiting for our White Christmas here in Chicago; should be here this afternoon. Yesterday was hectic, we were hopping from one place to another: the restaurant, a friend's house, and sadly, the hospital. But today should be a relaxing family get together that involves playing mahjong.

The hols season has pretty much been a movie marathon week for me. Avatar was visually breathtaking, Bodyguards and Assassins, boldly moving and endearing.. ahh... everything seems really good on the big screen.

And oh, I just read that Lee Jung Jae has been cast as the husband in Jeon Do Yeon and Seo Woo's Old Housemaid movie! I'm not sure if the news is 100% true... but if it is, I can just SQUEEEEEE hard!!!

Jeon Do Yeon + Lee Jung Jae + Seo Woo = anything lesser than HIT??

@18 momosan - I felt the same way about Iris and stopped watching around ep 10 cause I couldn't take it. But then one day I got really bored with TV and went back to iris and didn't stop until the final episode. you might want to go back, it does get better :)

Having a low key day with the family, but it's great coz I got to sleep in until almost noon! Normally when we have people over I'll have to get up by 8 latest.

We live in the US but we always keep our Christmases as Kenyan as possible - this includes traditional Kenyan party food,chapati(kenyan version) and nyama choma (roasted goat) being the staples.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day! I'm curious as to how other cultures celebrate Christmas.

Merry Christmas Kdrama Friends! And a big thanks to all who suggested the Hindi movie Wake Up, Sid over the past few weeks (and also thanks to the overzealous sales kid at the Indian store who strong armed me into buying two movies instead of one!). I loved it! And I thought Ranbir Kapoor did an excellent job! I know that, with the language barrier, it's hard for me to tell what's really good acting and what's bad but I can generally pick up on horrible acting and it didn't come off as horrible to me. Plus, his facial expressions were on point! He didn't even need to talk! I watched it two nights in a row and I might watch it again before the weekend is over.

Anyhow... Merry Christmas to all!

Merry Christmas everybody! We're not Christian so we're just enjoying a great relaxing day off. It snowed twice in the past week and the last traces disappeared right in time for Christmas! Typical. Our neighbour used to decorate a Christmas tree outside his house for all to see every year and this year he didn't, which is sad. Still, no matter your religion you can't really escape the goodwill of Christmas. Truly wish everybody good times and a fresh new start for 2010. <3

Went to see 3 Idiots yesterday and it was UNBELIEVABLE. Throw a few choice expletives in there and you'll get my general sentiments. THAT is a movie to see. Wonderfully relatable, hysterically funny (woman behind me was literally screaming with laughter), touching and exciting, some gorgeous locales, some amazing acting.I didn't fidget once through 3 hours, didn't lose my attention for an instant, came out of there rather out of my senses. <3 *__*

Anyway, I'm off to watch ep 4 of Xmas. Have a good one everybody. Isn't the world glowing tonight?

I'm thankful christmas dinner on Christmas Eve was a relatively non-angsty one, and I got to watch my niece open her christmas present (pig-rabbit and YAB dvd). She was very excited and there was lots of squealing.

A special greeting to javabeans and the samsooki team who's hard work have made this year so wonderful as it was like receiving presents all year round.

My nieces love their pig-rabbits. The 3 year-old's dwaeji-tokki now trumps her new Hello Kitty rain boots she got on Monday, and she's been asking to continue watching YB since she first woke up this morning. lol.

The only advice I can offer for the SAT is to start studying early, and every day. Even studying for just ten minutes helps. There were also some good strategy books I got from the library, so maybe one of those would help to? Good luck!

Merry christmas!! This is my favorite holiday! Lots of gifts, food and party all around! But of course for the religous people like me, do not forget to pray and thank the Lord for being born!
