Someone at YA entertainment told me that they did not get the directors cut, but they got the extras, which will be subtitled and there will be a book with the music lyrics in it. www.rightstuf.com has it right now for preorder for like $53. However, the interview parts do not have any sub title. I'm not Korean so i have no idea what JKS is saying. He's adorable though....i'm a little sad that it's not eng sub like the rest of the movie. I have to say that I am very happy with my purchase. It's a quality DVD player, sleek and delivers as promised. I have to say, though, that when I received the DVD player, upon closer inspection of the box and manual, it said that it only supported Region 1 formatted disks. I was very upset upon learning this and went on Amazon.com's site to see if anyone else had the same experience and to see what they did about it. I was only thinking about the inconvenience of having to package it up again and returning it, not to mention how extremely disappointed I was. As I read through the first set of reviews, my disappointment turned to relief. It turns out, that you have to program the DVD player to become an "all region" DVD player. Some brilliant person figured out how to do it (and the vendor/manufacturer won't help you or give you instructions) and after following the instructions that were posted and playing my Region 3 DVD of "The Secret" (Taiwanese Movie), it worked like a charm! To date, I have not had any problems with the DVD player. Now, I don't have to worry whether a DVD is Region 1 or not, I just have to make sure that it has the English subtitles! LOL! If you're interested in purchasing one through Amazon.com and live in the U.S., the DVD player is: Philips DVP5140 Multiformat DVD Player w/ DivX, MP3, Windows Media Support. And the best part is that it's only $47.00! I went ahead and purchased this DVD and can't wait to receive it. I'm a big K-drama fan and even though I can watch these dramas online, I like to purchase personal favorites that I can keep in my DVD collection and watch whenever I want to.
