Posters for SBS’s Pick the Stars

New posters are also out for SBS’s other Monday-Tuesday drama Pick the Stars (airing alongside Jejoongwon in Angel’s Temptation‘s slot), featuring its two leads, Choi Jung-won (Kingdom of the Stars) and Kim Ji-hoon (Love & Marriage).
In the drama, Choi Jung-won has to grow up suddenly when her parents’ death unexpectedly leaves to care for her younger siblings, one of whom includes child actor Park Ji-bin (Yi San, Boys Before Flowers). I mentioned previously that Choi’s character is named Jin Pal-gan, which means deep red; well, her siblings are all named after colors — Ju-hwang (orange), No-rang (yellow), Cho-rok (green), Pa-rang (blue).
Kim Ji-hoon has hitherto played mostly clean-cut good guys, but it looks like his cold-hearted lawyer character here has a bit of a slick (dare I say smarmy?) edge to him. Interesting — I’ve wanted to see him take a different sort of role, and this one looks different. Also appearing in the drama are Lee Soon-jae, Shin Dong-wook, Lee Kyun, Chae Young-in, and Jung Ae-ri.
Pick the Stars premieres January 4.

Not digging Kim Ji hoon’s hair but I’ll give it a shot although it looks like just another kdrama
Oh my, this looks adorable! Especally with each of the characters wearing a piece of clothing that represents their names. Kim Ji Hoon never failed to impress while I’ve only watched one of Choi Jung Won’s drama (shirt hair? Eh….)
KJH = bad haircut
I wish they kept his hair clean cut -short. BUT , I will definately check this drama out ^^
cold personality dude + kids = heartwarming
Er.. Choi Jung-won seems too old to be dressed like that. I wonder how old her character’s supposed to be.
Wow…….
………This is really interesting and different to me, heh!
Ooh, I really like that Kim Ji Hoon is such as good looking man with his cool hairsyle in this new drama “Pick the Stars” — ohhh…..I rarely watched him in the drama “Love & Marriage” but….I didn’t finish watching this. Heh.
Other thing — I had never seen Choi Jung-Won in any dramas that I didn’t get my attention to her, mm.
I hope this drama “Pick the Stars” will be definitely interesting and good! (winks)
I was actually looking for Kim Ji-hoon in the second poster…
didn’t recognize him at first…
Choi Jung-won looks cute…
the haircut isn’t bad, it actually makes her look younger.
Will have to check out the first couple of episodes…
so much to look forward to in 2010.
Oh, wow. Totally thought Shin Dong Wook was a woman at first glance. Perhaps not the most masculine outfit they could have put him in…
sooooo excited for Shin Dong Wook!!!! yay~ <3
I guess they decided to keep some of KJH’s long hair from ECC.
Still, he’ll be wearing suits…and if they include the
gratuitousobligatory shower scene…Good to see Shin Dong Wook back.
And let’s hope Choi Jung Won has improved.
Isnt it a little bit strange that she is 25 (source: dramawiki) and her siblings all under 10 years !?
What did her parents starting to eat after 15 years ?
Strange plot, but I will give it a try
is it just me?
I can hardly recognize both Kim Ji-hoon & Shin Dong-wook.must be the hairstyle.
since this is SBS’ it will take some effort to watch it..
and the youngest sibling is super cute – well, all babies are..
@10
If you read dramawiki.. you should’ve read that they’re all adopted.

Really looking forward to this drama! (:
In the poster, looking at Kim Ji Hoon made me scream “Please, let it not be the Yon-sama Ajumma Hair!”.
The angle his head is at, it looks like his hair is longer and tied in the back, but at the same time, you can’t be sure. I was completely relieved that his hair is not as long as I thought, but it’s still pretty bad. Well, maybe not THAT bad.. but… not the best.
It may be hard, but I have to bear through the drama ignoring his hair because I must watch this show! Ah.. so many adorable kids and it looks like this drama will be totally fun (unless it doesn’t get a dramatic 180 degree turn in the last 5 episodes….)
woah, did not recognize KJH with his hair. I still prefer his “oppa hairstyle”. I don’t know what else to call it. And I don’t know if it’s the angle but he looks like another person or one of those japanese actors. It’s not bad, just takes time to get used to his hair I guess. We’ll see when the drama airs. Can’t wait:)
I’m pretty excited for this drama.
Although…the leads hair is not to my liking, I imagine it will grow on me if their acting is good.
I still cant wait to see this drama
digging for Shin Dong-Wook ^^
Happy Christmas everyone!!
Wow @ that picture of Choi Jung-won! She’s like an adult version of Park Shin Hye. Or is it just the hair? Oo
Both lead actors are 28 years old,
so they should be acting their age,
but the drama is stereotype plot.
Looking forward to this because of the writer, and also Kim Ji Hoon which I liked in both Why Did You Come To My House? and Love & Marriage.
But I have to say the main girl taking care of younger adopted siblings sounds a lot like the drama Seonmul/Gift starring Song Yun Ah.
not digging th e hairstyle on him.
this looks very interesting & adorable. definitely going to watch it.. ^^
mm.. looks interesting.
I think I’ll give this a shot.
Thanks JB
Sounds fun and fluffy, if not terribly original. That’s not a slam. There are, after all, no new ideas. Just new ways to present/view/interpret them. So say the experts, anyway… not that I am one
At any rate, I’m looking forward to this one.
@anna: I was thinking the same thing. I do think it’s mostly the hair, though.
The baby looks soooooo cute.
Merry Christmas,to one & all!!! I’d still be looking out for this drama..(although the synopsis doesn’t sound all that interesting to me)..if only for Kim Ji Hoon & Shin Dong Wook!!!
Oh man, I was looking at the actors and I had troubles recognizing them. What the?
Still going to watch this. ^^
looks interesting..
Wow shes preaty and I loved Shin Dong-wook in Soulmate(wish he was the lead) owell sounds interesting
i’m so into this drama right now and it’s interesting how while i’m reading old posts about this drama, i noticed that choi jung won’s old drama “kingdom of the winds” is written as “kingdom of the stars” (in the bracket next to her bolded name). I’m pretty sure this is the first time i’m seeing that drama being called that name so it must have been a typo, right?
