OMG, I almost never get my dream casting choices. When I suggested Chun Jung-myung for the male lead of Cinderella’s Sister — which stars Moon Geun-young in the misunderstood stepsister role and Seo Woo as the kind Cinderella — I had no clue he’d actually be cast in it!
This is AWESOME. Chun was recently discharged from military service, and this’ll mark his television comeback. It’s his first drama in four years, since What’s Up Fox (his last film role was three years ago in the horror flick Hansel and Gretel). Though he still has a baby face, Chun has a lot of range, spanning from the childish to the mature; he is as capable of being humorous (as he showed in What’s Up Fox) as he is being more serious and intense (Goodbye Solo), and has a confidence that is damn sexy (Fashion ’70s).
Per the title, this drama takes a twist on the familiar tale by putting the stepsister in the lead role (Moon), while Cinderella plots revenge on her stepsister and stepmother. Cinderella’s Sister will be broadcast on KBS in March.

Whoohoo. I think I’ll now watch this. I just finished What’s Up Fox and I thought he was pretty good (not great) but he is talented enough to get me excited about this cast and drama. He is such a cutie. Reminds of a young Matthew Broderick circa War Games and Ferris Bueller.

Awesome cast! I’m a bit unsatisfied with Seo Woo though cause she annoyed me in Tamna. If the story is twisted and the stepsister is the lead then is CMH pair up with Moon?

What’s up, Fox was the only drama I have seen him in and he was great! Loved the free spirit he played. He has a great sense of self and that’s such an attractive quality.

Oh my, what a dose of great news to start off the day! Congrats to CJM and the production of Cinderella Sister – its a win-win for both. Can you imagine all that charm and talent from the three leads just killing it for our pleasure. I’m swoony over them just thinking about it. And I frankly don’t care who CJM picks in the end – Seo Woo or Moon Chae-won – and go off to make babies. I’m one very satisfied customer already, thank you drama gods! (hhmm, drama gods keep answering my prayers, must have built up some good will somewhere along the way….).

AHHH!!! YESSS!!! I’m so happy that he was casted! One of my favorite actors and he is uber-talented! Oh thank you drama gods! And dang, KBS is starting this year off well! This definitely made my day! The casting for this is fantabulous and yeah either Seo Woo/CJM or MGY/CJM will be awesome. Cannot wait for this to premiere in March!
