Following several sets of stills and a preview video, character posters have been released for SBS’s Bad Guy. They feature (from left to right, above) 21-year-old newcomer Jung So-min, Kim Jae-wook (Antique Bakery), Han Ga-in in her return to television three years after Witch Amusement, titular “bad guy” Kim Nam-gil, and Oh Yeon-soo (Queen Returns).
The stills were shot on March 15 in a studio in Seoul’s Nohyundong. Lead star Kim Nam-gil may look intense in the photos, but he apparently turned into a jokester as soon as he finished shooting and livened up the set for the staff. Alas, it looks like that ‘stache is here to stay. (I didn’t mind so much in previous photos when the character looked a little rough and ragged, but with a suit — with the open collar! — the mustache makes him look kinda sleazy.)
The drama has filmed in Japan and most recently headed to Jeju Island, where it is currently still shooting. It’ll premiere in May.

Now, why is Jung So-min smiling in the poster? Hmm… she looks like a character from a RomCom. Oh well, I’ll just wait for this drama to air. And also, I AM COMPLAINING about the moustache. I know it’s needed for that masculinity effect or something, but I like his BiDam look more (unkempt hair and all but at least no moustache!).
I miss him already. Nice birthday gift for me since it’ll be shown in May. ***excited!***

The only reason I like Han Ga-in is because she looks like Yoo-Eun-Hye alter ego they can pass as twin sisters!!!!

In the first picture Oh Yeon-soo looks so much older than the other cast members. I don’t know if she is or even what her relationship is to the other characters, but I don’t think it’s a very flattering picture for her. And her solo shot…she’s not standing up straight, which is bad enough, but then with the slouchy dress it makes her look even more slouchy, like she’s hunched over. Not good direction on the art people’s part. But everyone else (with the exception of the mustache — it really needs to go if we’re going to take his character seriously) looks uber-spiffy!
What’s with KNG’s hair ? I’m not loving it. His whole look, in fact.

OYS is a seductress in the poster w/ her hand on KNG’s thighs.. and he’s like “look at me! i got one arm around one girl and i’m holding the hand of the other.. i’m such a BAD GUY!” lol.
KNG looks way hotter in this look than his other drama look. It makes sense as this role is really different from the other one. I think that the cast on a whole looks great!

Since this drama has many actors / actresses I’m interested in, I’ll definitely check it out. I hope the story won’t be as dark as I heard.

This drama is intriguing and engages the curiosity of the viewer to want to see more, simply from the trailer and the stills.
I LOVE the first picture, that KNG’s hand is holding HGI, so subtlely you have to look hard to see it, but its totally sexy in its chasteness and protectiveness.
I think with HGI in ANY drama cast, there is no way the men are prettier than the woman. Her cheekbones, her doe-eyes, her pout – woman is perfection. Her acting, on the otherhand, eh, doesn’t bother me, but I hope she really sparks with KNG.
Kim Jae-wook seems in danger of flipp hair with how his ends are turning out. Hopefully that’s not so noticeable in the drama. That bugs me since it suggests a rather strange head shape in his still with the layers.
KNG’s face looks so…exaggerated. It found it more funny than intense.

@ ockoala I don’t find HGI’s face too pretty… and believe me there are some hot chicks in Korea..oh well being a woman maybe I’m too picky ..HGI is pretty …. but not the prettiest..I don’t like her upper lip and the cheekbones neither…but I think it is a matter of taste… I love other actresses but ..I will see her in Bad Guy..and maybe I’ll fall for her…

It’s rare I’m anxious for a drama purely for it’s leading men. I hope the ladies will be just as dynamic onscreen as the men.
I guess the people in charge of promoting this drama did their job with all the buzz they created with a little hand-on-the-thigh action. A subtle move, but it’s got people talking already!
LOVE Kim Jae Wook, but I agree that his hair could have been styled better. At least they didn’t go with the ponytail-look ….

Oh: You don’t know how startled I too became after reading that article. There are some romantic scenes but there will be a limit to how much is shown since this is television and not film… Isn’t that right, director? (laugh) The script hasn’t even been written that far yet but in the beginning, my character Tara tends to avoid Gun-wook rather than like him. However, at one point, I think I will be expressing the heart fluttering love she experiences after never having been in love before because she was wed under an arranged marriage.
