KBS’s Cinderella’s Sister has released new photos of its star, Chun Jung-myung, who takes the lead opposite Moon Geun-young as Ki-hoon, a devoted, supportive figure to her Eun-jo character as well as her stepsister Hyo-sun (Seo Woo). Although he harbors pain of his own, he tries not to let that show and instead flashes his soft smile, while he goes on silently working toward success.
Chun was recently discharged from the army after completing his service, which his agency referred to in their statement: “They say that 30 is the start for male actors, and I think this is the beginning for Chun Jung-myung, who is 30 this year. As actors who have returned from military service show even more depth in their acting, Chun Jung-myung is putting all his determination into his role in order to become a genuine actor.”
A source from the production side said, “After coming back from the army, Chun Jung-myun is shedding his youthful image with a manly appearance” and promised that Chun’s intense charisma is something we can look forward to seeing onscreen.
It’s curious how we’ve seen multiple stills of three of the main leads — Chun, Moon, and Taecyeon — but none yet of Seo Woo. Perhaps hers are next?

For me is Geun Young unni because they are the very best korean actor and actress that I know. There are the very best couple than Moon Joo unni
I happen to love both these actors, he doesn’t look his age at all, younger looking indeed! This drama is one of those I’d look forward to watching for sure! He’s kinda cute after the service! can’t wait to see this too as well as the other new dramas like the Lee minho Sohn ye jin tandem!

The first pic said it all – intensity and tenderness all rolled into one! A very talented actor. While JJM’s helicopter landing in Fashion 70s is a classic in the books of many, it is CCM whose intensity behind a cheeky facade that steals the show for me.
From all the stills we’ve seen so far, Cinderella Sisters looks very much like an angsty drama. What a good balance to have this aired side by side with Personal Taste. 2010 is shaping up as a fantastic drama year for us, yeapie!
how come that things that you are waiting for, like this drama and Personal Taste, etc, take so long to come. And that things that you are not waiting for, like deadlines, come so quickly? Are two different time dimension running on this earth, that I have not been told of yet?

Angsty or not I still look forward to this drama. I don’t know about you guys, but the angst in WISFC was pretty anticlimatic. It didn’t hit the right spots for me. Recent melodramas lack heart is what I’ve realized – too focused on making things look pretty and feel pretty. Camerawork, pretty faces, good sceneries are good and all, but they need to have a grasping story with grasping characters. WISFC quickly lost its dilemma effect and I wasn’t with the characters’ plight anymore. I just knew it’d work out. But when I watch Piano, I constantly feel and fear for the characters. So even though I’ve been expecting a rom-com, if Cind-Unnie is angsty, bring it on.
Even though I love all these pics.. they scare me about the tone of the show!

I really liked Chun Jung Myung on What’s Up Fox, a youthful yet mature portrayal of his character. I thought he was damn sexy on Fashion 70s – and that’s in addition to his outstanding performance – specially the scene at the beach or when he danced at his mother’s fashion show rehearsal. He couldn’t look more sexy!! Now that he is older and more experienced, I can’t wait for Chu’s performance on Cinderella’s Sister. I will enjoy every minute of it.

I can’t decide if this is going to be a melodrama, a revenge drama or if it’ll be more focused on the romance. Whatever it is, I’ll sure tune it. ^^

Everyone’s throwing this “melodrama” word around so much that I’m getting nervous. When I think melodrama I imagine misty-eyed, tortured souls so busy wallowing in their own sorrow that they forget to entertain us. Surely that won’t be the case here?

I cannot wait till this airs! Super-excited to see Chun Jung-myung in a drama again! It’ll be interesting to see Seo Woo in something very different from Tamra Island. But am a little anxious as well since it sounds somewhat melodrama-ish. (And what’s up w/all these actors who return from service doing melodramas recently ex. SJS in C&A, SSH in EoE, Go Soo in WISFC)
