Rawr! The preview video is out for The Housemaid‘s remake, and it’s pretty damn sexy. The music, the ambiance, the juxtaposition (literal and figurative) of Jeon Do-yeon‘s sly maid character — with those sneaky sidelong glances! — and Seo Woo‘s young wife character… I have a feeling I may not feel a ton of sympathy for Lee Jung-jae‘s cheating husband character but his magnetism abounds. He’s always been confident and sexy, but he’s even more so here.
The Housemaid will release in theaters on May 13.

Whooo~ What a steamy trailer… I need to fan myself and let my heart settle down. That is some great editing right there, and I really hope this isn’t like all the other Korean films I’ve seen where they add unnecessary sex scenes (that are closer to porn than cinema art) just to keep the audience’s attention. That being said, it looks like a must-watch for me!
this movie looks so good! i really want to watch it, but i don’t understand korean. is there a way i can watch it with english subs or something?
fantastically made =). I’ve seen the 1960 housemaid, though not completely. I’m wondering if they are still acting up until now. Is the husband in that old housemaid film the same guy as the father-doctor of Han ye-seul and the object of affection of Go soo’s Mom?
This is so interesting.
You can download the song legally (and support the independent artist/singer) here:

(It’s available through her independent record label on iTunes, Amazon, etc.)
The song is “Baby Now” by Nichole ALDEN.
the trailer isn’t sexy….it’s SEXIER THAN SEXY! this i gotta see!
thank u so much for giving the link to the original movie, without you I would miss an amazing movie: I’ve just finished it and…wow *_*
And the last scene: so “cynical” (not sure how to put this)
I’m not surprised that it’s called by many “the greatest Korean film of all time”, it’s so frustrating that in Europe you always know American movies (even if it’s bullshit) and we miss masterpiece like that.
I’m looking forward this modern version ^^
Anyway, thanks for sharing Korean “culture” with us
Now that is sultry music(thanks to all that shared link
)… and man teaser is hot!
yo editor!
the last line, she’s saying, “저이짖 좋아해요,” which translates to, “I like doing this”, “this” presumably whatever the doing is that she’s doing.
