Ha Ji-won cast in 3D creature feature

Ha Ji-won has been cast in her next film, Sector 7 [칠광구], a monster-action flick that not only boasts a 10 billion won budget, but will also be filmed in 3D.
In the movie, Sector 7 is an oil field in which a monster is discovered, leading to a desperate struggle between creature and heroine. (After the success of The Host, this kind of story is unsurprising, no? Still, I greatly enjoyed The Host and Ha Ji-won is on a hot streak after My Love By My Side and Haeundae, so I’m interested.)
According to JK Film, the project was initially to be directed by Yoon Je-kyun, who directed Haeundae. However, due to other projects he is working on (among them Lee Min-ki’s Quick), another director has been brought onboard, Kim Ji-hoon of May 18.
The movie has yet to cast its other actors, and will begin filming in June.

If I could go lesbo for just ONE woman....
Ok kidding aside, I think she'll do just as good a job in this as The Host. She seems to be full speed ahead adding to her film resume but I hope she'll throw us fans a bone once in awhile by picking a drama. :)

Ahhhh yay for Ha Ji Won :) I love her to pieces and I remember first really liking her when I watched that movie 역전의 산다 that she was in with Kim Seung Woo. Ha Ji Won is love to the max, man. I'll definitely be watching out for this movie.

I'm intrigued! Reminds me of another movie that had a similar storyline--District 9, anyone? hahah
Anyway, I hear that Bi Rain is scoping out for a movie role. Too bad this isn't a romantic comedy! ;) Hmm, who would I pair her with? OMG, why not with Kwon Sang Woo? I wouldn't mind seeing him kick some major alien @$$!
Plus, for these two to reunite again, I would love that! I'm still crossing my fingers for Kwon Sang Woo & Son Ye Jin though... oh, ONLY IF! :D

I would love to see HJW back on the small screen but will take this movie any way. Can't wait to find out who will be the male lead actor.
It took James Cameron years to finish the 3D Avatar, wonder how long it would take to film this 1st Korean 3D movie.

Word is that due to the challenges of adequately conveying the contours, gradient, and supple topography of the OPW in 3D, James Cameron hired Samsooki to oversee this project. Rumors about a raving loonie saying "I need more pout!!! Where is the wiggle!!! Oppa oppa oppa!!!" have been attributed to Mr. Samsooki, however he cannot be reached for comment.

Ha Ji Won is a ridiculously hot goddess on earth, but I always thought her acting ws overrated, especially in Haeundae.
I think she tends to pick more adventurous roles than other "pretty" actresses and that's what distinguishes her.
I hear Daddy Long Legs is good, though.
