Woohoo!!! Kang Ji-hwan is coming back to television!
He has been cast in the upcoming SBS drama Page One, which is being directed by Full House and The World They Live In‘s PD Pyo Min-soo, and has already cast Park Shi-yeon as its female lead. He plays a well-mannered novelist, who wrote a series of bestsellers at a young age and shot to early stardom. Park plays the head of a publishing company, with whom he has an interesting and odd relationship. A third character, yet-uncast, is a secretary with whom Kang’s character begins a bickering romance. Writing the drama is Song Jae-jung of Unstoppable High Kick.
Kang has been mired in contract disputes with his former management company in recent months, and therefore there was a lot of worry over whether he would be prevented from acting for an extended period of time. The issue is not yet resolved, so there’s some speculation over whether it will affect this role, but hopefully it won’t. You may recall that Lee Jun-ki also faced a similar threat of being kept from acting by his ex-management company, but they worked things out.
Page One will take over the Oh My Lady timeslot on Mondays and Tuesdays, which means it’ll air in the earlier (9pm) hour, continuing SBS’s decision to expand its prime-time programming on those two nights.
(Also: I’ve pretty much given up on the whole MINE-ing of various actors, just ’cause I suppose we should all share in our unhealthy obsessions rather than insist upon monopolizing our claims. But I’m really gonna have to stick to this one, ’cause y’all know Kang Ji-hwan really IS mine, right??)

Call me weird, but am I the only one who is excited to read that Park Shi-yeon is paired up with KJH? Somehow I’ve always think that she has the potential to be acknowledged for her acting (instead of the surgery issue).
I love both lead casts , hopefully this one is deeper , more interesting storyline than
some dramas recently . I feel like K drama is out of new idea for storyline , i find they tend to
repeated the same storyline , similar plots over and over .again.
i just watch cinderella sister, from ep 1 , storyline is unbelievable , but acting
is good . Even in dramaland , storyline should be realistic , believable , interesting and not too dump . A superficial , no manner , no brain lady living like a bump ,is able to meet , to get
marry to decent rich man , i can not buy this , if that lady is smart but not rich bc her soft heart then i would buy this story .
In K and here , none of smart person is poor , they might not very rich but they always are able to find the way to go up , not living on men as a bump like that .

I just recently went back to watch him in that massive 166 episode drama Be Strong Geum Soon so I’ve already been a little fixated on him this past week.
Can’t wait for this to start airing. I hope everything goes smoothly for him!

ahhh…. so happy for this piece of news but at the same time worried…hope the contract issue won’t be a problem… been praying for Ji Hwan’s drama comeback for almost 2 years now.
I wonder when they are going to start filming… I think Ji Hwan is in Japan right now and will be there for a couple of months to film the second season of One Day, Somewhere.
also, another wish has been fulfilled by this drama… Kang Ji Hwan and Park Shi Yeon together in a drama…* double happiness for me.

Kang Ji Hwan, YAY! He’s a cutie despite the fact I’m not a huge fan of his acting, he’s still adorable! But with Park Shi Yeon? I don’t know about this but maybe they’ll have chemistry together!
