Kim Tae-hee has been cast as Song Seung-heon‘s leading lady in the upcoming romantic-comedy drama series My Princess.
Not much has been explained about Song’s character, but Kim plays a lively character who dreamed of being a princess when she was younger, but “returns to reality” and goes back to school as a late university student. The twist? One day she becomes a real princess.

Oh, screw it. Now THIS is going to be awesome. By which I mean awesomely entertaining in the so-bad-it’s-good way. Because individually, these are two stars who are known for being as limited as actors as they are gorgeous to look at. (They both remind me of really beautiful robots.) Together they will be blinding with their good looks and, if they’re lucky, might just scrape together enough acting talent for one regular actor. (Okay, that last part might have been a little harsh. They have both had projects where they’ve been decent in the overall scheme of things. But in those examples, they were mostly paired up with or overshadowed by much more talented co-stars and epic storylines. Example: their most recent projects, IRIS and East of Eden.)
On top of that, My Princess comes from writer Kim Eun-sook of the Lovers trilogy, City Hall, and On Air. She’s known for sharp, fast-flying dialogue and lots of banter, which is not an area in which either is particularly gifted.
Still? I’m actually looking forward to this. Either they’ll surprise me and be adorable and funny together, or it will be unintentionally amusing. Win-win?
Kim Tae-hee is currently filming the movie Grand Prix and will begin working on the drama in late August. My Princess is looking at a premiere later this year.

But Kim Tae Hee is so beautiful and she did good jobs in both IRIS, Love story in Harvard, Forbidden Love. I love all her dramas.

Kim Tae Hee is always my favorite actress. She is gorgeous and acting progresses a lot. Waiting to see this drama.

sometimes the most beautiful people could look bizarre in certain clothes..reminds me of koreas famous Andre Kim fashion..
I never understood his style ( and why he paints his head )..totally reminds me of the 80s..and yet famous ppl always walk for this guy..so bizarre..
Kim Tae Hee looks beautiful in above photo and her clothe is ok. I do not like the fashion style of SSH in the photo and he is not my type, not handsome. I prefer LBH or Kim Rae Won to pair with her.

due to Fifa World Cup, high profile dramas (Daemul, Athena, My Princess and Faith) will most likely be delayed… news are still developing, we’ll have to wait for more concrete info later on
I’m extremely excited w/ this. I actually am holding out hopes that they will be surprisingly good and goofy and it’ll be a funfun ride….IF they go full comical, no makjang, no melo (no SSH wailing or KTH’s patented eye bulging pretty please, it’ll disturb their pretty) My point is, IF they can let go and poke fun at themselves and their stardom… WOW! My head is exploding w/ GLEE just w/ that thought.

Song Seung-heon must be at his very best in portraying the role of Patrick Swayze in the original film “The Ghost” …OMG!!! do it very good bcoz all the fans of patrick swayze around the world will get mad on u!!! and i am one of them… yeehaaa
Wow…this so surprising…extravagant for me…i have waited for so long that Song Seung Hun “most handsome guy in korea – i do love him” and kim tae hee “pretty face – i love her too” will be paired up at last…I admired both of them all this time…they should go out sometimes…haha…So good to be true…i will watch out for their new k drama this year…hoping that their team up is final…i’m so excited…^^

Of course you don’t have to be an expert at something to be able to tell the difference between good and bad in that field. People still have a sense of judgment and observational skills. As for the plot…oh boy. And I can’t believe Kim Tae Hee let them dress her up in that ridiculous outfit.
well..well..well… i know that i am already left by the train.. just finish watching IRIS… that makes me want to know about the actors including KTH… that i end up at this part of blog now (which i always love to see the recaps and comments of the dramas in this web after i watched each one of them)…
i would say i was a little bit stunned and couldn’t stop reading the writing and comments in the 1st page of this section. Very interesting comments and also curious of why the producers cast both of these (that most say in comments) -beautiful & limited acting skill- actors in Kim Eun Sook’s writing drama.. i really love City Hall and Lovers in Paris, how the plot and story were almost perfect… and i think these both actors will really/should be challenged in playing the characters of this drama… if they can do it perfectly, it will surely increase their image as actors…
after reading the comments… surely i would like to try also follow the drama to watch and see how they perform… just want to say “goodluck guys!”..

This drama is actually really good, I must say Kim Tae Hee’s acting has improved a lot. It’s refreshing to see her in a romantic comedy.
As for Song Seung Hun, I didn’t pay attention to him before and haven’t watched any of his drama, so I don’t know how his acting is, but from what I’ve seen in My Princess so far, he is doing a decent job.
Yes, the plot might seems cheesy, but it actually has some refreshing twist. Personally, I love the drama.
those who think ssh cant act probebly didnt saw his dramas. i think he act realy great in eoe and he made me cry all the time. for me he is the best actor.

I guess by now you all have figured it out, My Princess lead pair turned out to be adorably cute. The acting of both was never bad at all in my opinion.love them both!
