Watching King of Baking now and episode was not too bad, I agree, the first 30 mins is kind of typical kdrama and predictable, but after they set up the story, it became much more interesting to watch. ie: Tak Guk as a mischievous and spunky little youth pining after bread and scheming with his friends to get their hands on some. The story is moving at a good pace, and it’s not dragging out all the gimmicky plotlines like someone else mentioned above.

MBC subscribes to both Ratings Providers.

If ratings aren’t Credible to you,Ask these Networks to stop their subscription.

SBS isn’t new,They were in the Industry for 20 Years now.

Anyways,As far as I am concerned,SBS has 10 Regional Outputs,Compared to MBC’s 19 and KBS’s 20 plus.

for those who does not watch baker king yet, for me it is good! I love the drama. I agree that the first to second episodes were not that great and to tell you the truth i almost gave up on the first episode because i thought it was kind of boring and not good but i still tried to watch it and as i watched (till the current episode), i can totally say i was hooked in that drama! it was not the typical story about competitions of baking and the storyline was great! it was not only the character but the whole story so i still believe it deserve the number one rating…

for other dramas, i still have not watched them except Coffee House and Baker King…^_^

You know, it has to be said: the MBC Wed/Thursday timeslot may be the most lethal time slot any part of the week among all 3 channels. Shows just DIE there.

there are clear reasons why bad guy aand roadno1. is falling in ratings. road no.1. just really sucks in storyline. over rated with top stars but not a good story line. bad guy lags to the extreme in storyline. and even viewers were complaining about the storyline dragging. plus the unnecessary jap subtiles and shooting in japan. viewers complained that it just looked like the drama was overly focusing on paying omage to the jap’s vacation trip come to japan blabla commercializing/sponsoring. ppl watch dramas for the story not to look for where they want to go on their next vacation trip. it leaves really bad impression to viewers. thats why they dropped.
