Really, my favorite thing about this image from Gumiho: Tale of the Fox’s Child is that wonderfully disgruntled grumpyface on Seo Shin-ae. Aw! It’s like a wee puppy trying to look menacing; you just want to cuddle it, even if it looks like it wants to bite you.

We’ve already seen the stills of Kim Yoo-jung as the fox-child, and now it’s Seo Shin-ae’s turn as her human acquaintance/rival. (Previously, we also saw stills of the drama’s star Han Eun-jung as the gumiho, and the three leading men.)

Seo Shin-ae’s character Cho-ok (spoken quickly, it sounds like a drawn-out way of saying “choke”) is described as jealous and ambitious (hence the cranky expression?), who is also prone to bouts of illness. She has something of a rivalry with Yeon-yi, aka the gumiho child.

Below are a couple of behind-the-scenes photos of Kim Yoo-jung with Seo Joon-young, the latter of whom said, “Thanks to the acting advice and personal friendliness of Jang Hyun-sung sunbae and the other sunbaes around, I’m happily filming. Because I’ve worked with my co-star Han Eun-jung before in an SG Wannabe music video, it makes working together now even more comfortable, and child actresses Kim Yoo-jung and Seo Shin-ae are effective mood-makers on the set.”

The drama airs on KBS starting July 5.
