Antique Bakery was serious eye candy, but it was also one of the only BL adaptations I have seen in Kdrama/cinema. Then again it was crazy popular in japan as a manga and an anime. Both of which I loved.

They did abbreviate the story a lot to crush everything into a single movie. If you liked the film I would watch the anime to get the whole story. It also has many more hysterical scenes.

I just realized there was a show I was meaning to watch, then went off my radar, then I remembered because it’s gonna be on tonight and it’s called Moteki with Moriyama Mirai and other people.. one who happens to be Kikuchi Rinko. Yes, that Kikuchi Rinko. (I know she was in Liar Game 2 but bare with me, this show will be more appealing to me). Tetsu no Hone was very dramatic. The other day I was thinking “Where the heck is Takahashi Issei lately” and he was in episode 2. Yes, I was able to spot him in the previews and went “Wait a second.. time to download this”.

All the talk about playful kiss… I’m just disinterested it in the first place, I would have been interested if park bo young was in it, she since she’s not I don’t care to watch it. I don’t wish ill on the cast, it just isn’t a story I’m interested in. I’d rather watch Gumiho, and I’m interested in the new Bae Doo Na show Gloria.. which is another 50 episodes.. nooo

Dude, Jung Bo-suk is one gorgeous, gorgeous man, no really, he is. So thank you.
But, since he has a male fan following, any open fangirling/ogling, may put some of this male audience off him. So I’ll like… try and control myself and stuff. (OK, I’ll admit, as CPY he’s terrifying — runs!)

I’m surprised you’re surprised though, but I’m sure he garnered enough ahjumma love in his High Kick days too.

Lee Chun-hee is great too, and the overall premise. Lounge singers, gangsters and er, rich people… Not like we’re not seeing it already in Giant but more the merrier.

@ supah, EoE ending episode and final scene thoughts:

first, I was crying for like, the last ten episodes, off and on, especially any tender moments that I knew were leading to ‘that’ ending. Every time Dong Wook said ‘hyung” I would throw things at the screen and shut the door so I could cry scream rant like the insane woman I was. I actually hoped that it had all been wrong even until the end. (As I said, way way way too invested in Dong Chul!)

But, hey, if I’m going to invest in 56 episodes, I want my payoff.

Final scene: bedazzled, well, I wasn’t. On one hand, it was a set-up to explain the sacrifices ‘he’ made all the way through EoE (father-to-son ‘this is how you will live your life’), and it was a total letdown as a payoff. On the other hand, at least it was more consistent with the story flow than other moments. That said, it was a little heartwarming, but not enough after what I went through for 56 episodes.

Sorry, trying to say all of this without giving spoilers, you know? My test, if you will, of whether something was worth it is to ask if I want the hours back, and even with all my angst, I don’t want them back. I love the Dong Chul character and I am still hooked to this day. I will watch again when I can have a more critical and less emotional eye … and probably get my heart robbed all over again.
