The production of Athena held a showcase on August 30 at Seoul’s Lotte World’s Garden Stage, where the main cast talked about the process of training for the drama’s action scenes, filming in Italy, shared behind-the-scenes stories, and showed a making-of video. Below, you can watch the video of highlights that was featured at the showcase.
Last week we saw the teaser (and Park Hyo-shin music video for the OST theme song), but that mostly featured the leads, Jung Woo-sung and Su Ae. The new scenes show some of the other characters who haven’t been featured as much, including Lee Jia, Cha Seung-won, Choi Siwon, and Kim Min-jong. Woot woot!
Athena is looking at a November premiere.
Below, from top to bottom, are Jung Woo-sung (yum!), Su Ae (love the dress), Cha Seung-won (hate the ‘stache), Lee Jia (dig the hair), Kim Min-jong (ever the gentleman), and Choi Siwon (who looks pretty badass in the clip, but then again he IS a black belt in Taekwondo).

The script seems really interresting , characters seem to be a little bit ambiguous(at least i hope it is not the pure good vs bad stuff) and moreover JSW and CSW in the same drama!!!
CSW rocks as always! his gangster portrayal will be awesome i am sure( he was already good in “eye for ey” although the movie was not a what u can call a masterpiece)

I never got to watch IRIS too as it was airing the same time as YB >>> which got me froathing like a crazy mad animal
. But this looks good….I got 3 reason to watch this: JUNG WOO SUNG – how I love this guy, still can’t forget him in “A Moment to remember”, he made me cry buckets now I want to see a different side of him. Then there’s CHA SEUNG WON – another great actors, to kick arse as a baddy. Last but not the least SIWON – Though I’m not a SuperJr. follower, I dig this guy, he has great potential than any new actors out there. BRING IT ON!!!
Lets just hope the drama is as bad arse as the trailer. But anyways, thats way too much noise for a covert op. What happened to using silencers?!
Woot! Woot! I see Soo Ae is a double agent. JWS was surprise to see her killing somebody in Italy!. and KMJ is a clumsy, ignorant agent! first time seeing him like this.
CSW and SA is the same team? and JWS, KMJ, LJA & SW is on the other team (South Korea I’m guessing). Can’t wait to see how JWS will handle the betrayal from SA when he thought she’s just the tour guide in the office!

wow! Soo Ae! in prev screencaps i was always skeptical about her, maybe the gamine, slight frame and the shape of her eyebrows, and that really strong cute and innocent image of her. can’t quite pull off fierce, sadly. but this changes my mind, she’s great!

I’m so excited for this! It looks better than IRIS already – which is good since I only finished IRIS because I watched it with a friend despite my love of Lee Byung Hun and Jung Jun Ho.
I think it’s funny, though, that half of SiWon’s shots were in water. Mmmmmm.

Trailer was awesome. I never watched much of IRIS (time constraints, not because I thought it was good/bad/mediocre/etc.) And a guest appearance by BoA? I’m sold.
Thank you for this clip, JB! I don’t usually do Action anything, but this looks sleek and sexy, and the unbearably good-looking cast doesn’t help in my attempt to maintain my willpower in avoiding dramas after I finish up the ones I’m watching now. Lee Ji Ah actually doesn’t annoy me as much as she does other people, and I think she looks great in this teaser. The other actors and Su Ae look amazing as well… I’ve developed a major girl crush on Su Ae just from the promotional teasers and posters for Athena even though I never saw her in anything before. And can I just say.. Choi Si Won looks absolutely delish and I can’t wait to indulge in the eye candy. Is it November yet?

LOL I feel you people about IRIS, it was hell going through the first episode, and I stopped at episode 4. Even TOP speaking English couldn’t help it. I have high hopes for this at it looks more storyline-centred than dragged-out action like on IRIS. And oh, Jung Woo Sung is so pretty here!
