The trailer is out for thriller movie Midnight FM (which I’d previously mentioned as Late Night FM), which pits Su Ae (Athena) against Yoo Ji-tae (A Star’s Lover) in a battle of wills.
In the movie, Su Ae is the DJ of a late-night radio show who gets a call while she’s on the air, from a mysterious man (Yoo Ji-tae) who turns out to be a psycho killer. Su Ae must keep her cool as he directs her in an impossible mission in order to save the lives of her kidnapped family.
Personally, I’m not too interested in the plot, but this might be a film that’s more interesting for the acting. (Or not, if they fall short. But I like Su Ae and Yoo Ji-tae, and think it’s quite possible they’ll be better than the plot.) On the upside, the movie looks great on a visual level.
Midnight FM will open in October.

The plot reminds me little of Phone Booth or When A Stranger Calls.
Hmmm it MIGHT be good but I think the “mysterious caller/killer” has been done quite a bit.

Ohhh~ the actor from The Classic and Ditto. I’m not sure I want to see this, not when there’s a child crying for his life, that just creeps me out… disturbing.

The story sounds cliche but oh boy YJT!! He can do no wrong. He looks too scary here.

Yes, the plot doesn’t interest me very much since like someone else has already mentioned above, it’s something that we’ve alreayd seen previously but I may watch it for those two actors! hahah

YJT sure looks so scary here!!! I’ve watched most of his projects & this film(judging from the trailer)..is yet another reason for me to admire his versatility!!!
I like the plot a lot and it does indeed look very nice visually. Joo Ji Tae will do a great job, I think. He looks downright scary here.
Soo Ae has the perfect voice for NPR, and Yoo Ji Tae would make a great Sideshow Bob. Morning Becomes Eclectic . . Time to Die Bart!!!
Gender roles are really important in this kind of story. If it’s a female stalker (a la Misty), then it plays off like Fatal Attraction. If it’s a male stalker, then you’re in Jodie Foster/Jamie Lee Curtis territory.
I love these kind of movies. Will definitely watch.

I saw her past dramas, her acting is bad, her co-stars are better.
It is so interesting to see YJT taking on so many exciting and challenging roles one after another, whereas this counter part in Star’s Lover –CJW–stagnated at her level of playing ACTRESS and at best still taking on the role of Actress in the movie Actress. Interesting, she again played Actress in her recent CF with Sheseido!! Hahaha…^_____________^
