Jo Han-seon begins his military service
by | September 9, 2010 | 17 Comments

Actor Jo Han-seon is the latest to heed the call of duty; he enlisted for his mandatory two-year army service on September 9. He’ll train at the Nonsan training facility for four weeks, and then take his position in the public service sector.

His last professional event prior to the enlistment was attending the press conference the day before for his new film, Invincible, which is the A Better Tomorrow remake co-starring Song Seung-heon and Joo Jin-mo. That day, he told the press, “I’ve been busy earning a living and ended up going late [into military service]. I should have gone sooner, but I’m just going now.”

Born in 1981, Jo made his debut in a 2001 CF, and went on to television series like Nonstop 3, Good Person, and April Kiss (which was his last television role, in 2004). After that, he stuck to film roles, acting in movies like Romance of Their Own, Cruel Winter Blues, and My New Partner.

A few days ago I watched Temptation of Wolves/Romance of Their Own and I kept thinking that I know this guy from somewhere, which was of course a cameo in one of my fav “The Woman Who Still Wants To Marry” and a movie “Lost and Found”.
As usual, it’s almost too painful to see that awful, military style haircut;)

it seems he had a quiet farewell!! Isn’t there suppose to be group of fans bidding him farewell? I thought that was the usual ritual. Is he not famous enough? I liked temptation of wolves a lottt n kang dong won was fabulous in it.

So funny how in almost every case of an actor going into military service, there’s a photo of the actor running his hand over his newly-shorn hair. lol

Where were his fans to send him off?!

Still, a shame he had to abruptly leave the Venice Film Festival and will miss The Invincible’s premiere on Sept. 16th.

I’m looking forward to watching The Invincible because of the four lead actors, and I loved John Woo’s original classic A Better Tomorrow.

Aww, he still looks adorable, though, even with the shorn hair.

Another yummy Korean actor…off to the army for 2 years!!!

Wonder if he left his new bride preggy before his enlistment?

oh he was in Temptation of Wolves……I saw the pic and was wondering who is he and then after a few seconds, he started to remind me of someone but I can’t think of who…….

The antithesis of Danial Henney. That’s why I love him.

Ooh I loved his bumbling character in Sweet Lies with Park Jin Hee! ^_^ Hope he’ll come back with more awesome roles!

On his appearance on “Family Outing”, JHS seems to have a shy/quiet personality, but w/ an underlying bit of mischievous spark.

His co-guest star, Kim Sung soo, otoh, was all suave, confidence and cool, even flustering the “Queen”, Hyori.

I am going miss him so much!!

This post is from awhile back but I randomly saw Lost and Found again and had to comment. I hoped that he’d do more projects. He’s super cute; it’s sad that he was given mostly hardcore movie roles (a la Attack the Gas Station 2 lol). Shame that he had to leave his new bride so soon :/

Ah well, best of luck. Sarahbeans, you should def. have a tab keeping track of all the hotties in the army LOL XD
