Kang Ji-hwan rehearses for Cafe In’s Tokyo run

Looks like my Kang Ji-hwan is busy prepping for his upcoming musical production, Cafe In, as seen in these recently released photos from rehearsals.
The musical has been running in Seoul since August, and Kang has been acting as producer. He’ll act onstage for the Japanese run, however, which kicks off on October 16 at Tokyo’s Globe theater. It’s his first role since wrapping on the SBS drama Coffee House earlier this year.
Kang wrote on his official fan cafe, “It’s harder work than I thought and I’d like to rest a bit, but I’m happier doing this while I can. The day I saw the actors perform for real, I wanted to run away.”
He added about acting abroad, “I’m even more nervous because I’ll be performing in Japan, but after seeing Cafe In being performed, when I stood onstage in the completely empty auditorium and looked out from the stage, I felt that itch. Closing my eyes and imagining that I’d just finished the performance, drenched with sweat and hearing the applause, I felt a kind of catharsis that I can’t feel when doing dramas or movies.”
Cafe In has benefited from strong word of mouth and has risen to be the top ticket-seller of original musicals (as in, not adaptations). The Japanese run is expected to draw about 20,000 theatergoers.

i know right i've had watermelon, raspberry, passion fruit, orange (which im currently using and has this shimmer to it and is absolutely yum!) and mango lip butter thingy and a coca butter flavored chap stick!! yes clearly there in a mini bodyshop show room in my handbag! and I <3 KJH even more now...a man who knows his products is a hot commodity in more ways than one if you know what i mean! i can imagine him gifting the women in his life bodyshop care baskets at the drop of the hat....siiigggggghhhh...gosh he just gets more drool worthy by the day!!!

Musical project! Wow! That means KJH can sing really well. Has he ever sang in the drama before...????
It looks like he was using The Body Shop Strawberries Lip balm in the last pic. :D

He sang in one of Aja Geum Soon episodes. Not a singer's voice, but he can sing well IMHO.. :)

Great post as always. However, there seems to be a typo. You put "my Kang Ji-hwan " when we all know he's mine. It's okay, everyone makes mistakes. Just don't let it happen again.

One thing I'm curious about: is he going to do this in Japanese or Korean? If it's in Japanese I can't imagine he'd have an easy time doing this since it's in a completely different language, but if it's in Korean I don't know exactly how much of the Japanese population could watch and understand everything

(I really admire him since I had seen him first in the Exbihition of Firework but I did turn it off -- but I really really really enjoy him in Capitol Scandal, hehe!)
