There were a lot of things wrong with Bad Guy. A lot. But Oh Yeon-soo, the actress who played Hong Tae-ra, was definitely not one of them. She was brilliant as the cold and distant ice queen who sizzled every time she touched Kim Nam-gil. I kid you not. There was steam.
Her recent shoot for LG fashion label Daks has all of the cool sophistication of Hong Tae-ra, but much more confidence. She’s so statuesque. I envy her poise.

maaaan i cant for the life of me believe they let Oh play song il gook’s mom in jumong, when they are of the SAME age…. very very freaky tht….ok i have to say tht song has like one of the most pristine set of features in the k-dramas i’ve seen so far and kinda does knock off a few years….but still u could so see that they looked more like bro and sis but only their dynamics were very very diff…good actors always come thru like tht i guess….and anyway she turned the tables with KNG…lucky female!

It’s standard practice in sageuks though. If anything Song Il Guk was probably a little old to play Jumong, as he found the Goguryeo at only 21 years old.

No surprise . . . Oh Yeon-so is a 90s Korean beauty icon. Like Kim Ji Soo, she didn’t come a well regarded actress until she hit her 30s and moved away from ingenue roles. And in that sense, it’s not a surprise seeing both playing similar roles.
Ironic, currently watching a show with her hubby Song Ji Chang.

But yeah, I’d like to look like her, and I wouldn’t even want to wait till my 40s. She’s got such an elegance about her, like Cate Blanchett, an immoveable strength. I’m 30, and look 20 (and sometimes, I act it too….), but I’m waiting to grow into my face. Maybe one day, I’ll have that maturity too……

I only watched part of the first episode of Bad Guy. It didn’t really hook me, but whenever Oh Yeon-soo was in a scene I couldn’t take my eyes off her.

and she also has 2 boys one nearing the teen-age years…I watched her being interviewed and in it she seems to have a fabulous family…she said they have a family meeting everytime she takes on a role. They discuss with their children how do they feel if the role required mommy to be in bed with another man…what might their classmates say…don’t they worry about that? The little guys said “it’s okay mommy because that is your job”
So I believe “she’s really all that”

currently watching Bad Guy as well and I might say she is one of the reasons I’m still watching it, and it all began after her role in the drama, La Dolce Vita, her acting really shone on both projects and she became a fashion and beauty icon during her 30s and also an ideal mother and wife, I think in many ways, she is already blessed
she ‘s really elegant…i got hooked watching bad guy because of her. she played the role better than han ga in. her choice of clothes is amazing…i hope to see her in a new drama where she’s the lead star…she’s amazing…she’s also very nice to her fans!!!

Her role as Tae ra is magnificent, all her scene with KNG is my favorites. I can feel her fall in love feeling! Wow speechless, Guntae has build chemistry even better than Gunjae. If badguy have happy ending, i will support guntae as best couple.. They are not brother&sister anyway. Love OYS & KNG
