Here, we go, the preview video for Runaway! And true to the drama’s title, there’s a lot of running in it.
The drama is described as a romantic-comedy action project, which could have skewed hokey if done too slapstick. But on the contrary, it looks pretty slick, actually. Lots of action and — with this writer-director pair (of Chuno, as well as Level 7 Civil Servant‘s writer) — probably a lot of stylish cinematography and fast pacing.
(Do we now have to change the title to Plan B, per the trailer? I’ve gotten so used to thinking of it as Runaway… By the way, for those of you wondering why I’ve stuck with Runaway instead of Fugitive — as both titles are in use equally — it was a deliberate choice because the Korean word can mean either, but “fugitive” has the added connotation of criminality. As far as I know, Rain isn’t a criminal, but he IS on the run. Plus, the drama website uses the word “run.” Just for those who were curious.)

I could never watch anything with Rain in it after Full House (I really disliked it).
But this looks so cool, I look forward to it. But Daniel Henney being the Henney, meh.
he did much better in a love to kill but the drama itself was intense and a bit messy. (I really disliked full house as well).

Looks like this could be really fun to watch – for Rain’s sake I really hope it goes well, since everything else in his life seems pretty messed up at the moment.
Full House was what got me into K-Dramas in the first place, so I’m really looking forward to Rain’s return! And I’ll never complain about having the chance to drool over Daniel Henney, even if he is wooden in too many of his performances.
henney isn’t really one of the main characters so I’m cool with it. Rain and LJJ are the main focus of this drama and I do love LJJ. The trailer looks really promising so I’m going to give it a go.

Well, according to this trailer there’s certainly going to be a lot of action and hot guys, but I haven’t seen the humor yet. Either way, I’ll be watching this. ^_^

I thought it would be Iris-ish, but I definitely prefer it to be more fun and light.
Absolutely watch this after Baker King, Kim tak Goo. In Chuno main character Lee Dae Gil run to hunt but in Runaway Ji Won have to run to avoid being hunt.
It looks like a video game!!! XD Especially the part where she uses the umbrella as a weapon! XD
It will be great if they release video game based on this drama and we can play Rain character. YEAH just imagination.
I really do hope this has some comedy in it. Even though Rain comes in for criticism sometimes, no one can deny he can pull of a comedic role, which is the main reason why I will always defend him as being a talented actor.

I still cnt get behind the whole romantic comedy action bit….if it like level 7 Civil servant it could work…..i hope they dont mess it up…that being said im actually more excited abt this nw than earlier….though i think the action sequences look a tad cheesy
7 Civil Servant was a waste of two actors and a waste, period.
Let’s hope FUGITIVE or whatever the title may be now (Plan B?) is an upscale version that is actually worthwhile!

off-topic (but rain-related so please indulge me), rain is having a concert in Manila (Philippines) on Saturday and i’m watching with my sister!!! so excited. just wanted to share that
hope the cinematography’s just as nice as Chuno’s coz it was def a factor for me having so much pleasure watching that show. and plus the fact that there are 3 eye candies in Runaway, so they shouldn’t waste them LOL!
Yaaah i’m so excited!!! I’ve only seen rain in Full House, and i know alot of people might disagree, but i wasn’t too impressed with him. But his new drama looks good hopefully it will change my opinion =)
The full cast is currently here in our country shooting some of the scenes so expect some sights from the Philippines to be shown in the drama. woot!

Some scenes of “Runaway” is shot in Manila, Philippines. It’s a part of 10-day visit of Rain in Manila followed by the Concert with U-Kiss in Saturday.

i remember watching him in a heavy drama series with shin-min-ah. it was okay. but i felt heavy.
the reason why i watch series is to make me laugh. i like light materials.

A little cheesy but whatever. I’ll be tuning in for this and of course for ATHENA but more so with ATHENA even though I’m a huge Bi Rain fan.
At the same time, I am hoping that Lee Na Young ends up with Daniel Henney’s character. They look great together and finally, it’d be great to see a lead actress end up with someone who isn’t the lead actor.

What’s with Rain’s phoney smile at 0:16? He looks funny when it does that, he should smile naturally ( as some fans call it the cheeky one) because he melts hearts faster than ice cream on a hot pavement that way
