It’s Hyun Bin‘s turn to be featured in stills from upcoming drama Secret Garden, which also co-stars Ha Ji-won (whom we saw in these first stills last week).
He plays the proud and eccentric owner of a department store, who only shows up to work two days of the workweek and yet manages to keep his sales high. Somehow he ends up swapping bodies/souls with a woman who is his complete opposite, a stuntwoman played by Ha. How they manage a romance when they’re in each other’s bodies is beyond me, although I suppose it does allow for some narcissism jokes…
The drama has also cast Yoon Sang-hyun, Philip Lee, and Kim Sa-rang. It premieres on November 13.

Hmmm. That could be kinda…weird. But also interesting. And Hyun Bin is in it. Yummy.
I could name many a j-doramas and j-movies and animes/mangas with this story line (well, not storyline, but girl and boy swapping bodies concept), not to mention some American movies, so it’s been done. I’m not saying they’re all the same, and this will be different, so I can’t wait for this drama to come out.
I’ve seen the body swapping many times too, but never with the romance bent. At least, not when the two swapping bodies are the ones interested in each other. It’s kind of strange, but I guess it could work… I don’t know, wouldn’t you feel kind of strange going in to kiss yourself? It’s hard to me to imagine, so I guess I’ll just have to wait for it to come out!
this reminds me of that movie It’s a Boy Girl Thing…they did manage to fall in love there so maybe they could work it here too…eitherways Hyun Bin-Ha Ji Won pairing is a little too awsome to miss out on

I really might find myself just watching this drama solely to drool over Hyun Bin. I suffered through his last drama, I’ll be able to do it again. But his pairing with Ha Ji-won is really something to look forward too. Let’s all hope the chemistry is there between the two actors. My gosh….he sure has gotten hotter since his Kim Sam Soon days.

First time I knew HB was from Kim Sam Soon but I started to like him a lot when he played on Snow Queen coz he looked so SMEXY there ^_^ with that long hairstyle and beard.

Reminds me of an Aussie movie with Guy Pierce and Claudia Karvan, where they hate each other, swap bodies, try to jeopardise each other’s careers, fall in love then swap back.

Yeah, I was gutted at first, but I suppose Jang Hyuk is a star now, he’ll want/need bigger, badder roles. Hyun Bin is a relatively low-key kind of guy and this’ll suit his understated self better. Plus, body exchange — with a girl! Eeep! Can’t wait.

I do! Binnie is cute and all, but I haven’t been immensely impressed with his acting skill based on what I’ve seen him in Sam Soon and the World They Live In. I’m not saying he’s a bad actor, but boy, next to HJW, he’d look like an amateur.

Regulars of dramabeans may find this behaviour extreme, but this is in fact how the Chinese contingency reacts to Binnie. On grounds of him acting opposite our beloved fugitive Tang Wei, we’re ready to claim him (and Lee Jung Ki . . . seriously Korean military, protect his face!!) as our own.
I’ve said this for years, but what always caught me with Binnie is how VOLATILE his acting can be. I was slow taking to Sam Shik, because an early scene where he blows up disturbed me. Obviously, volatility is not the right tone for this role, but he’s always wanted to be taken seriously as an actor.
I don’t know about that. Binnie blew the roof off in Friend: Our Legend.
Depends on the script goes, but Ha Ji Won is arguably the best chemistry actress in the business. And part of that is in making her costars shine.

Binnie has been replacing several actor … 1st he replaced Rain for World Within, then Jang Hyuk for Secret Garden….he should be taken seriously as an 1st priority actor ….

I am definetely going to watch SG simply because of the writer. Really can’t wait the funny dialogs for Ha Ji Won and Binnie here, since those two names were used as super naughty funny jokes in the previous drama she wrote (in City Hall we had fun with Kim Sun Ah referred to Binnie as her old lover, and Ha Ji Won was hillariously mentioned like million times in On Air) It would be just greattt.
