Mary Stayed Out All Night star Moon Geun-young takes on a new type of character as the drama’s bohemian girl Mary, a playful and optimistic young woman who “never loses hope despite her tiring daily life.” What she does that keeps her so exhausted has yet to be explained, but I’m thinking that the fake-marriage premise of the drama is going to add a whole NEW level of tiring to her life, with her juggling two pretty romantic rivals: hippie/free spirit Jang Geun-seok and “perfect” chaebol Kim Jae-wook.
Moon’s last screen role in Cinderella’s Sister had her playing a difficult and abrasive character, but prior to that she was known for her youthful, cute image, so I can totally see her giving Mary a winning charm. (Just imagining all the adorableness that is bound to transpire between her and Jang Geun-seok is enough to make me giggle in anticipation.)
Mary Stayed Out All Night is based on a web toon from the creator of Full House, and the rights have already been sold to Taiwan and China. It premieres on November 8 on KBS.

BTW, I hope the chemistry between Moon GY and GJS is goose-bump inducing. I think Jang GS and Park Shin-Hye did very well in You’re Beautiful, but I never ached down to my bone marrow for them to be together. Their interactions were fun and cute, but it was just acting.

And I’m one of those people who wants to see how her chemistry with Kim Jaewook is gonna be. I’ve loved that guy since Coffee Prince and Antique Bakery :} I hope it becomes hard for the audience to decide who she’ll end up with…I don’t want it to be too obvious from the start, I want it to be a real triangle!
It has to be hair extension, otherwise, she possesses a mutan like power to grow out such gorgeous locks in such a short amount of time.
I think long hair suits Moon much better. She’s cute with the shorter bob but so femininely pretty with the longer hair.

Well, since I will be abroad when this airs, I hope it helps settle my jet lag when i return with four episodes to watch fully subbed. I do not know if I will continue watching, but I’m looking forward to this one as my expectation level is high based on the synopsis.

Gosh! I L-O-V-E her hair!In my opinion (and preference) she is much better with long than short hair, it makes her look more mature and it frames the shape of her face nicely..

I really want to watch the drama, it sounds really good, but the prospect of the guys and their whole androgynous look makes me cringe. Oh the dilemma.
I’m in the minority here but I really don’t like the extensions. I think a shaggy bob would have worked just as well with her bohemian look. Or maybe I’m just really biased cos I was amazed how well she pulled of a severe, no-nonsense haircut in Cinderella’s sister.
