Jeon Tae-soo has just come off his stint on Sungkyunkwan Scandal as resident eyeball-popping, deathbeam-glaring villain, Ha In-soo, and before he transitions into his next role, he decided to stop on by High Cut for what can only be described as…a strange idea, gone stranger.
He looks like his noona Ha Ji-won dressed him up for fun in their mother’s clothes…only maybe they were both drunk at the time. He totally rocks the photo shoot, because his face is pitch perfect with every look. It’s just that the look is so…whack.
The concept for the shoot was hair-centric (if you couldn’t already tell by the crazy ‘dos), and Aveda made him up in four different looks, the titles of which are going to crack you up. The first style, above, is called “Dandy Slick.” I think that pretty much speaks for itself, although I don’t know anyone who isn’t in the mafia who would wear that look. It should be called “Lil’ Tony meets Liza Minelli.”
The second style is called “Lovely Perm,” which yeah…not so much. It’s probably made worse by the fact that the big hair is competing with the big fur, but I’m fairly certain that “Cruella deVille” is what they’re conjuring here.
The third one is “Unbalanced Mohican”…which could either be offensive, or misappropriated. I’m gonna go with misappropriated.
The last look is by far the least crazy. But it’s called, “Natural Volume”

It IS interesting (and sometimes uncomfortable) that he looks so much like his sister, but still, what a handsome guy. He reminds me of Joo Jin Mo in the first picture. I agree, the up-swept look is great on these guys with such angular faces, but I’m not sure I’d feel the practicality of it in real life, haha.
I must be blind somehow. I keep reading about people seeing the ressemblance with his sis, but just don’t see it.
Maybe someday I will.

I wonder why High Cut always have this wacky concept of photo shots. Look what they did to Ah In way back. I like the one Cosmo did on Hyun Bin because I love when men looks like that and can appreciate their “manliness”

1st Photo: I would have cowered on my seat had it not been for the wowses. And it’s confirmed! The eyebrows point upwards – In-Soo or not In-Soo. (I’ve been wondering about that the whole season. Apparently, I never bothered to google his non-Sungkyunkwan pics.)
2nd & 3rd photos are so in tune with National Geographic’s Great Migrations: bird’s nest, fur, leopard print… dashed with tribesman’s hair. and wild plants.

Glad to see him stopped making “snake eyes” and “eye popping” and looks like a regular guy. However, the hairstyles are so silly. He looks like he got his finger caught in an electric socket or ran into a wind tunnel. I hope he gets out of a rut of playing villains. Good to see him out of SSK clothes, but the hairstyles are bizarre. Maybe in his next role he play a normal person and not a giant size pain in the rear psycho? He is So lucky to have Ha Ji Won as his sister. Love them both.

Mmmm… I’m totally with javabeans on the perm thing. I like the one in this photo shoot, and I also NEVER found Kim Hyun-joong the slightest bit appealing until he got that perm in Playful Kiss. Also, doesn’t anyone else think Lee Min-ho is much more attractive with his goofy perm?
I too enjoy the perm action in this one. Funny, because I didn’t particularly enjoy it on KHJ in Playful Kiss, but JTS somehow pulls it off…the debonair smirk and come hither look in his eyes don’t hurt either.
Perhaps I am the one who finds this photoshoot appealing..especially the 3rd picture.
