Choi Jung-won poses for Elle Korea

Wish Upon a Star and Kingdom of the Wind actress Choi Jung-won is featured in a photo spread for fashion mag Elle Korea; she poses in these stills with a cello, which seems like merely an extraneous prop since the real appeal is in her artfully disheveled look. I like how she looks partially like a broken-down Victorian doll, and partially like a bored socialite forced to endure painfully tedious cello lessons when she’d really rather be shopping. Or sleeping. Or flirting with teacher. I’ve been there, sister. Except for the rich socialite part, of course, and okay, also the chic designer wardrobe.
Choi Jung-won had a pretty solid year with the warm family-oriented drama Wish Upon a Star, but since that show wrapped in early spring, she’s mostly just been seen in photo shoots. Having found her forgettable until that drama came along and showed her bubbly side, I’m looking forward to see if she can keep the momentum going with her next project. Preferably something in the rom-com genre, since it suits her.
Choi’s photo spread will be published in January’s issue of Elle.

It would be more conducive to actually playing that cello if they'd put out the endpin and tightened the bow...but hey. I'm sure that authenticity was not the point of the shoot. She does look lovely, and the lighting and color palate are really beautiful.

It's genetics & youth that many appear so slim and beautiful...and the expensive cameras used, plus the makeup. I have children all in their 20's and they are that slim, and their skin are that youthful.

I been a fan of hers since her "Kingdom Of The Wind" days she was beautiful back than but as a good bottle of wine the older she gets the better looking she looks!!!! Hope to see her soon in a drama!!!

awkward weird & not getting it... compared to awkward fierce of what it should be...
well i think my mentality stems from the fact that I find her acting since Kingdom of the winds kinda AWKWARD...

I cringe looking at her high heels. Fortunately, she is sitting down. Although, I do like her knee high stockings; those taupe ones have great patterns.

I'm curious. Do that many Korean women wear 6" stiletto heals in public? Also, how is it possible that so many women in kdramas can run long distances in their spike heels without either breaking the heels or falling, or is this a national talent that no other country's women can do?
