OK this drama has an airdate on SBS. As some of you are aware, I am still waiting for that ONE drama to have an airdate and a confirmed broadcast station.
What’s Up was last rumored to be on SBS scheduled for a possible March 2011. Hopefully, it will air soon, or at least news will start rolling in.. or you will see chickens flying..
Well, basically the main character is perverted and gets an erection whenever he sees a sexy woman. They call it: Mokkori Chance.
It’s quite hard to imagine him in that character.
Hahaha…yep…I remember this comic was so popular in my junior high school and sometimes I read them behind my parents back….if this city hunter really based the character on the comic, it will be fun to see lee min ho portraying ryo saeba. I really can’t imagine that!

You know, after Playfull kiss and MSOAN, I’m kinda restrain my self to put much expectation to k drama that is based on Manhwa, though it casts all my fave actors in K drama land. I like Goong (though not as much as the comic), BOF (the Taiwan version, not the Korean or Japanese), and Full House, but MSOAN with its good cast and how it turned out to be Gah, it traumatizes me ALOT, really….

a result of being burned twice with Personal Taste and MSOAN, whose male and female leads I LOVE but was so crushed by the writing and overall execution…
also because of the relatively more challenging task of executing dramas based on manhwas…
what’s more, after Fugitive Plan B and Rain’s better-than-expected performance, LMH really needs to be someone who stands out and make the character unforgettable (much like what he achieved for the Gu Jun Pyo character in BOF)…
its not going to be easy but i am still hopeful because i believe LMH is a gifted actor, who needs to be challenged accordingly in order to unearth his innate talent…

How time flies! We’re all moving on to new dramas while it still feels like battling SKKS withdrawal symptoms happened just last week. 
I don’t know if I’m going to be excited for LMH for this one, given CH’s similarity to Fugitive Plan B and Rain’s performance in it. (Well, what else could we expect from the hardest-working, dedicated hallyu star?) However, I still have faith in LMH’s competence as an actor, although like many here, I have doubts regarding his ass-kicking abilities. But hey, he might surprise us.
And I also hope the writer and the director will do a great job on this one.
So we wait till May.

PS not the greatest of rain fan.. So but i will definitely watch City Hunter .. Lee Min Ho = like/love/But NOT obsessed ! unlike some one else we all know !
if you’re not a fan of Rain (like me before), then should really watch Fugitive. I’ve come to love and respect this guy after watching this drama.
Where as bfr I couldn’t be bothered with any news about him..only saw him in Full House, period.
back to CH…I read the manga and CH is one of my all time fave classic shounen, I was totally surprised when Hojo casted LMH as Saeba Ryo..bcs to me someone like Siwon would have been a better choice..ehmm the choco bars…ehmm…
However, I really hope LMH will bring out Ryo Saeba to live…of course I’ll always have Rain’s JiWoo in my mind to compare with…

Not a fan of Rain’s music, but him as a person. I saw a documentary on him and I’m so at awe at how he worked hard to become one of the biggest stars of Korea and break out to the international scene as well.

My earlier comment was written by my 20 something inner self. Now that I have had time to think, I wonder… I have read that this character is older than LMH. So, I can’t help but wonder if LMH will seem “experienced” enough. Now if you take, say,
Ji Jin Hee or Lee Lung Jin or Gong Yoo…. you still have hot with a dash of older, and so character with believably more experience with women.
Still, I am totally on board with LMH… I will watch! I really can’t wait to see what he does with the role.
I guess this is an example of a problem I have had with several dramas. With an older actor I can drool without feeling like I should turn myself in. It is difficult to reconcile swooning for a young actor with the fact that he may have been born while I was in high school.
Ahhh the problems of feeling like a 20 something, while really being, well…. older.
