Song Joong-ki romances Han Ye-seul on the big screen

Sungkyunkwan Scandal’s fashionista Song Joong-ki is heading to the big screen for a rom-com movie, in which he romances Han Ye-seul (Will It Snow For Christmas?). Funny that she’s the noona now, when he was the oppa in Christmas — albeit in the past, so they never actually shared scenes. Also — is it weird that they played siblings in that drama?
The movie is titled 태어나긴 했지만, which means Although I Was Born or Despite Being Born. Song Joong-ki is currently working out the final details of the contract, and plays a guy who’s been unemployed for a while who then decides upon a dream to pursue. He matures as he meets Han, a woman who is only described as a persevering type.
Hm. Not much to go on with that description, but since it’s Song Joong-ki in a romantic comedy, I’m in. He’s fantastic at bringing playful, good-humored characters to life (as we saw in Sungkyunkwan and Triple), but he’s just as good being caring and warm-hearted (as we saw in Will It Snow For Christmas?).
It’s been a year since Song’s last movie (the adorable puppy movie Heart Is 2), and three since Han’s last (the flawed but easy-to-watch Miss Gold Digger). The director is Kim Jung-hwan, who seems to specialize in youth-oriented material; he worked on the high school series Sharp as well as the two Jungle Fish projects.
The movie plans to begin filming early next year.

-Yes, but since it's SJK, I can push that to the back of my mind.
Gah, wish I could take a trip to Korea just to see this movie. Weird though, that Han Ye-seul has been cast in it, what happened with the You're My Pet movie?

how I wish this would be in cinemas when I return for a visit too! but I'll have another problem... unless they show it with Enlish subtitles, I won't be able to understand it. :( All that I'd be able to do is read body languages, make the most with my v. limited Korean vocab, and ogle at SJK. :D

Isn't that movie being pushed til 2011? I thought LSG would star in the role and film after he finished MSOAN. But I'm kinda behind in news, so I'm not sure if this is correct or if Han is still in (which, I very much hope to be true).

in Ob&Gyn I could watch the drama just because of his OTP... he was awesome and shippy and I've swooned over the couple in every scene... the other ppl I just ignored ... they were the whole drama for me... he knows it and wants to prove it
btw he isn't on my fav list but if he does at least as well as in Ob&Gyn I'm in

oh yes, i will watch anything with SJK in it. although he and HYS did play siblings in WISFC, they never really interacted with each other, so i don't think it will be weird at all. and i kinda have a soft spot for HSY, who was totally kickass in Fantasy Couple (though not so much in WISFC, sigh), so, yeh, i think this movie's got the potential to be awesome.

For WISFC, I still ,till now, wonder why & how his character die. I only knew he jump to that river and next he dies.
How does that happen? he can not swim? but his face looks like he's so sure he can swim when he jump to that river without worried at all. he can swim but he has been swept away by the river stream? he can swim but he get muscle strain or asthma attack or something when he's in the water so he's drowned? he is trying to kill him self? but his character doesn't look like having tendency to go that way. he loves her sister so much so he think that it is ok if he dies?
i wanted to watch Obs&Gyn Doctors for him, but I'm allergic to medical theme drama. I couldn't stand it, sorry Joong Ki....I'll definitely watch your movie when its dvd is out

realized recently he probably IS the most manly/macho (his "translated" words, not mine) of the 4..err..3 Jalgeum 4. so had to reinforce my adoring for him and stalked his show. good thing Running Man is a prized catch! love it! so funny! true personality-wise, i think he comes closest to guys i like! ^^ (among the 3)
though i have to admit, when i look at yoo ah in, it's just..he's irresistable! i've always liked the dark, brooding type better :)

I'm not sure... but I think that's how most people in other countries do when a major celeb goes out in the street... except for Hollywood, maybe where most people seem to be immune to their presence. I think the same effect can be achieved if Daniel Radcliffe walks at any street these days. What I'm amused about is how the Korean fans gravitate in mass towards a celebrity and then cover their faces in front of the camera. They're eager to get close and yet, their being conservative/shy still goes into play. Like for example those quick hugs. The fans pull away first! :D I guess they're not yet as crazed as fans from other countries. LOL.

thought the koreans are more restrained when it comes to these things so was amazed that they are squealing away like there's no tomorrow..and yet covering their faces so mum who might be watching from home will not recognize them, hehe...
yea, daniel radcliffe and robert pattinson might get the same squeal-frenzy from the American fans :-) i know the girls here would not think twice if they found themselves beside these two on the street :-)

besides (re)watching kdramas, I plan on going around rediscovering my town thru my camera lens, and do some macro photography in my Mom's garden. :) ... which is also in a way a secret garden, cuz she had it fenced in to keep the backyard chicken out. :D it's gonna be fun! (barring i switch bodies with a frog princess. :D )

oh well, it's the doing of KHJ fans. Acting-wise, of course the robot-like performance doesn't deserve that recognition. But in terms of marketing... yeah. KHJ's popularity served its purpose very well. (have you heard about the Seung-jo photo diary with free mug available in the market? ahaha!) It's also funny how the KHJ fans were taking the Beanies so seriously! :D

New information, about the movie!
In a new RomCom movie, that is.
Actor Song Joong Ki and actress Han Ye Seul have been casted for the upcoming movie, ‘Despite Being Born‘.
The movie is a romantic comedy about two unemployed people who are struggling to obtain 200 million won.
Song Joong Ki plays ‘Jun Ji Woong’, a role that is completely different from his usual ‘flower boy’ characters. Jun Ji Woong is a college graduate who still needs to borrow money from his mother. Because he is 50 won short, he couldn’t even have a date with his girlfriend.
On the flipside, Han Ye Seul plays ‘Hong Sil’, whose purpose in life is to earn money. She makes use of used bottles and newspapers, and is so cheap that she won’t even go to the hospital.
