HyeMi’s character is not a usual protagonists who is kind, soft, and goody-goody. It may be difficult for people to root for her, but her character eventually develops.
Suzy’s acting is quite good for her first drama. and even though someone tells Taecyeon’s acting is a bit awkward, I guess he’s doing pretty well too. in 2pm he’s usually loud, funny, and dorky, but here he can transform into someone lonely, sad, who needs love.

I’m watching this drama because a lot of my friends have raved about it, and I’m watching it along with My Princess. I watched My Princess up to about episode 11 and i’m starting to get a little tired of it, which usually happens, so I’ve switched to this. TBH, i’m really disappointed. I was expecting a more funny-feel-good drama what with the entire main cast being composed of idols (and no offence, noobie actors/actresses). I expected it to be like You’re Beautiful almost (like the comedic parts and the lightness of the drama) and so far, it’s been quite heavy and I don’t really like any of the characters that much except Jason and Iu’s character…also I like the country bumpkin but i’ve yet to fangirl over him. Suzy, eunjung and taecyeon? I find them to be flat characters by far…and their reactions are so predictable to the point where its unpredictable. I don’t think it reflects on their acting, i just think their characters are weak.

I started watching this late so still catching up.
There seem few people that one can really like in it. The dance teacher seems a total nut case, what teacher not only lets her students backstap and sabtage each other but acually suggests it! I can see failed dreams there, seems a very nasty bitter lady. The vice director..same same..he always plays that role..must be his voice..lol.
The failed teacher..seems he spent his life not only screwing up his own life but a growing number of other peoples life also.
And doesn’t Korea have any laws to protect minors at all? or anything resembling a social service.. I would like to see one just one Korean drama actually showing some decent care for children.
One thing i did like was the overweight girl bit, now its long been clear that looks are more important than real talent in Korea, but i hardly expected them to come out and say so..so that one plus for the show.
So right now after three episodes it still not sure if I like it or not..

For me the drama is about Sam Dong. He’s barely been in it 5 minutes – but i’m already routing for him and hoping he gets the girl, even though she’s a cow and doesn’t deserve him.

The other thing that has me interested is the Jason and the “large” girl story, i really hope they hook up! But that might be asking for a bit to much of a K Drama. She’ll have to be transformed first at the very least right?

I wasn’t keen at first, the only thing that piped my interest about this drama was Kim Soo Hyun and i wasn’t disapointed – i was rather bored until he showed up. That kid is gonna go places

totall agree!!!!

so what if her family goes bankrupt, it’s not like she’s dying of some terminal illness. not enough to make me really sympathize with her and defend her.

i feel more sympathatic towards bh instead. c’mon, you call her your best friend and she ditch you in the end. not only that, do you boss your best friend around? like asking her to take your whole bunch of suitcase, treating her like your servant.

i hope bh will be stronger, not meaner!

actually, if you think about it, the girls are kind of balance. you can neither really side either one.

I 100% agree with you. Though what BH did at the end wasn’t a shining moment it’s the beginning steps of her turning into someone who will do anything to succeed.

BH’s story is the most interesting part of this drama for me since we get to watch her sell her soul. Her losing her compassion and morality in order to be #1 and win. I hope she doesn’t get too evil though. She needs to be able to still atone for her mistakes at the end – IF that happens.

I can’t like HM’s character. Despite the million and one people defending her, I just can’t. I no longer HATE her but I am not rooting for her. She needs an attitude check and until I see her learn humility and how to respect others (no matter how crappy your own personal life is) I will never like her. And I’m sorry, what she did to BH. Awfully cruel. The difference to what BH did to the other girl (which I admit was intense) was that they are just fellow students. But BH and HM were best friends. Geez – BH was HM’s only friend. One whom HM abused, humiliated, hurt and threw away. Don’t be surprised when that comes back to bite you. A thin line between love and hate, remember?

So we know for sure Pil-Sook and Jason will be a couple but I’m still lost who the other pairings are. Is it Taecyon and HM or Kim Soo Hyun and HM? And why do I have the feeling that BH isn’t meant to get with anyone at the end?
