Daniel Choi goes part rocker, part guyliner-ed metrosexual, and part adorkable in these photos for the March issue of Allure Korea. (My favorite? By far, the dork, which Daniel Choi does so well.) This spread reportedly reflects the “dandy guy” image of his High Kick Through the Roof as well as the genius songwriter image of his character in the upcoming The Musical.
Currently, he’s working on the latter, which is busily shooting despite being unable to secure a broadcast commitment. The drama’s planned for 16 episodes and has completed filming on 11 of them, and anticipates being done at the end of March.
That’ll add The Musical to the ranks of the 100% pre-produced crowd, which, to be honest, isn’t such a promising thing. (Some examples: Paradise Ranch, Birdie Buddy, Friend Our Legend, Road No. 1, none of which performed well. A bit more successful: Gourmet.) One hopes it’ll manage despite the early difficulties — although frankly, my pick for music-related follow-up to cracktastic Dream High is the university drama What’s Up.

Recently finished Worlds Within and omg, Daniel Choi was just crazy there, literally nuts. I really enjoyed his role there, even more than his Jihoon from High Kick. His character in WW can be grating on the nerves, but just love the moments that show how big of a heart he has.

couldnt sleep on my cx flight to vancouver. so i decided to watch cyrano, having watched like 6 movies already. man i fell in love with daniel. the dorky look is totally adorable plus he is cute and tall. and im sooo glad he ended up with lee min-jeong in that movie. they look so cute together.

Agreed. Loved him in Cyrano. The film sucked. Although I loved the opening scenes with the cello guy, who I hopelessly fell in love with but then… They went and ruined even that arc. Gahhh!
