ANDRE. I don’t know how he does it, but that dog just keeps getting more and more adorable. Especially the midnight convo with Damo, totally perfect.

My Damo love is quickly returning. He’s just TOO PRETTY not to love. And that SUIT. Unf unf unf yes please. And I love his ridiculously overactive imagination, worrying about what she’s telling her friends about him and thinking about her hitting him.

I also enjoyed Damo and Saran’s meeting in front of her apartment. Damo’s still all self-important and I think he still doesn’t quite get why what he did was so awful, but I like that he is trying to explain himself and make amends. And you have no idea how much I appreciated that he didn’t do the quintessential Kdrama male lead thing and grab her wrist. I could accept him grabbing her shoulder because he did it lightly and let go as soon as he was facing her, but grabbing her wrist would’ve been totally hateful.

And the elevator scene! Where he asks what she wants and she says she wants to date properly (didn’t quite catch the word at the beginning, but I think she meant through to marriage?)..and then it turns out he was hallucinating again and all she really wants if for him to let go of the door so she can go on up. Interesting insight into his mind, especially given his stunned reaction to his own fantasy and his (somewhat angry) disappointment when she told him to let go. He may think he just wants to play around with someone interesting for a while, but obviously his subconscious wants more than that, and it wants it with Saran.

As for Saran, I really like her when she’s standing up to Damo. She’s so proper and demure otherwise (yeah she has a sense of humor and is a bit sarcastic, but it’s always within the bounds of what’s appropriate) that I like seeing the fire in her eyes when she’s pissed off. And it’s clear she’s still a little affected by him, but I’m glad she’s sticking to her principles and not letting herself be moved by his pretty face.

And I wonder how long Damo’s going to date Rara, when it’s obvious he doesn’t feel anything for her (the look on his face when he saw that she was his matseon partner!) and is still very interested in Saran. (The preview! With the late-night visit and the doorbell-ringing omo omo.)

I’m just waiting for Saran’s nosy stepmother to throw a wrench into things. They’re totally setting her up to ruin whatever Damo and Saran have happening between them, so I’m curious to see how that happens.

But off the topic of Damo/Saran, I’m totally on the Son-ja/Gong-joo ship. They are SO CUTE, with him piggybacking her to the bathroom and telling her to call him if she needs help. She so clearly doesn’t see him as a guy, it’s going to be fun when the switch finally turns on in her brain. I wonder if the writer’s going to introduce another love interest for one of them later, or if she’s going to just keep them in their own little world and have their relationship develop that way.

And speaking of wrist-grabbing, I also didn’t mind Son-ja grabbing Gong-joo’s wrist, because it was a substitute for hand-holding while she had her hands in her pockets and because their current noona-dongsaeng relationship wouldn’t accept straight hand-holding. It was cute, unobtrusive, and completely acceptable in my view.

(I’m a bit obsessed with wrist-grabbing in Kdramas. It fills me with rage-y rage whenever I see it, so I’m always thrilled when I find alternatives being used, or when it’s done in a relatively non-possessive way.)

And completely random, but I think Sung Hoon is incapable of keeping his head still when he talks. I keep noticing his head bobbing around and it makes me laugh. But I’ll chalk it up to his newbie-ness and forgive him. ♥

This..was very long. I get very verbose when I talk about my dramas. I’m sorry. XD

I think I’m going easy on Sung Hoon because he hasn’t actually had to do much acting yet — most of the time he just stands there like a bored little prince, which is what he is. I think he’s cute when he’s thinking about Saran though, and when he’s interacting with Andre. And I think the best acting both he and Lim Soo-hyang did was during their fight scenes. I think they’re just inexperienced and stuff and haven’t yet fully figured out how to express their characters. (But I still want to know where the hell Sung Hoon came from — he’s 27 already! How does a magnetic guy like that stay hidden?)

I think the guys tailing Saran aren’t her stepmother’s lackeys. Remember, she got a detective (I think a friend of hers? I dunno, maybe she has secret mob ties) to find out who Saran was meeting; I think the guys following Saran are just an extension of that. They’ll probably go away soon, now that her suspicions have been supposedly confirmed.

Yes, I do love Saran’s dad. He seems like such a sweet man, I’ll be upset if he ends up dead or in the hospital or something.

Hahaha yeah, the birth secrets deal is very confusing. But I kinda like that it’s being kept a secret, because even the characters themselves are largely in the dark.

Maybe this drama will be good practice for Sung Hoon so he can improve his acting and take on bigger projects. I’ve grown quite fond of his face these days, and I’d love to see more of him.

Has she graduated already? I thought she was coming up on graduation and was planning on auditioning for that dance company. That’s why she was using the practice room at her school, and I think she was studying in the school library too. Rara’s in the same class, and her father told Damo’s dad that Rara was still a student.

I like the post on the gallery introducing Andre, where it’s just him barking and then a “translation” XD So adorable~ ♥

And I dunno how worthy Damo is at the moment. He’s different from the usual chaebol character, but he hasn’t proven to me yet that he’s worthy of a truly great love. Then again, Saran hasn’t really made herself particularly special either, so I don’t know that she’s worthy of Damo. I hope they both grow and develop so that I’m rooting for them with every fiber of my being.

I’m still invested in their love story, though. I just hope it gets deeper than the somewhat shallow thing it is right now.

Not only is it a picture of himself, it’s a picture of his ABS. I don’t get it either, but hey, I’m not gonna complain about being able to see that body more often. ;D

Slow burn indeed. It’s a good thing I’m not really keeping up with any other weekend dramas. (I’m watching Geunchogo, but I really need subs for that..)

I don’t understand when ANY characters have huge pictures of themselves, even movie stars. I mean, maybe if you’re an old movie star and have pictures of you in your heyday, I can understand that. Or pictures of a truly momentous achievement, like winning a Daesang or getting married or with your long-lost-but-most-favourite-grandparent-ever. But pictures of you at the same age you currently are, with or without clothes? It’s..so creepy.

I kinda want Rara to steal that poster and put it in her own room. Because a) I could totally see her doing that and b) it needs to not be in Damo’s room anymore. XD And then she can stare at it longingly and touch his lovely abs and fantasize just like every other red-blooded girl would do. I know I would.

No no no, I’m right there with you on the pervy-but-not-really bit. I’m just waiting for the moment Damo’s mom or grandmother does the obligatory pat on the butt, like all Kdrama women seem to do to their offspring at some point. I’ll probably die. XD
