Same thought - i doubt if the chemistry would be as great as CH but I'll watch the drama nonetheless for CSW! (just hope the script would be much better than Athena - I couldn't go thru the series...sorry)

i've seen the drama... and it's a total hit... i really loved the chemistry between them... although in city hall it was deeper the chemistry. overall it was good

they are both great actors, that's something to be happy about =). Another is, finally we have a new kdrama to look forward too. It's like after Secret Garden, Dream High and My Princess, my days (Dramabeans blogs) and nights (watching the drama) became a bit empty? can't find the write words. Even JB and GF, i think were getting a good rest after being so busy writing recaps =). I'm missing the comments and the funny banters of you two (^-^)

yay! the pairing looks great... both great actor and actress I am sure they will have excellent chemistry... although I like the leads in this new Hong's sister drama; however, I am a little disappointed that the Hong's has to change their original idea to have a more mature male character... since the hong's drama always has younger cast for the leads..
but then again.. it's CSW we are talking about... love him in city hall.. if he and GHJ has the same kind of chemistry as in City Hall... that will be awesome.. I am excited.

I feel like an older cast is a good thing - most of the Hong sisters dramas have skewed very young. And I know that the Hong sisters will still manage to keep the drama snarky and fun and fully utilize this awesome main pairing.
Now -- PLEASE have Cha Seung-Won chased by a pig! Please?!

As much as I love the Hong Sisters, I cant get excited about this pairing.....

She was cute in Pasta and he was cute in City Hall....I'm very very excited for them both. CSW is totally wasted in Athena...I saw his movie An Eye for an Eye...now that's what I call a Hot Baddie....

I hope this means that Cha Seung-won will finally cut off that facial hair! He used to be in a lot of comedies and can be really funny and dorky. I'm looking forward to this if it means he'll channel some of his funny again.

I'm so with you on the facial hair. I spent half of "City Hall" praying for the character to finally, finally shave it off. I couldn't believe he'd be asked to carry a romantic plot with that THING in his face. :-/

I don't mind the hairy caterpillar on his lip (it actually makes him look better than when he's without), I just want him to clean off that dirt on his chin. What is that beard call anyways? It's not exactly a goatee. What'd everyone call it before? Pornstache? Since I don't mind the 'stache, it should be the Pornbeard. People say he can be really dorky and funny. I hope so, you need that in a Hong Sister's drama. Truthfully, the person I want to see doing cute and funny is Jang Hyuk. Before the story got heavy in Thank You, he pulled off cute, awkward, and indignant really well (you know, when he saw Hyo-jin's character touching her lips and he was all cute and happy because she was thinking about their kiss, only to see her go brush her teeth and rub water on her lips again. HAHAHA. She totally brought him down a couple of pegs without realizing it, and he was all "Harumph. You should be honored I kissed you" - and that was only through expressions with no verbal exchanges at all). I hope he does funny and adorkable soon.

okay that image is heartbreaking! why did you link me to it! city hall was soo good for no reason at all ( you know aside from the killer performance by alien kim sun ah and cha seung won) I have to say I agree that that facial hair look in this photo is better than the "soul patch" look a la Athena. and jang hyuk does look great with facial hair! I like scowling look on cha seung won oppa's face. I think it makes him look sad and vulnerable. I don't mind if he is somewhat jokey in this hong sister's drama. There are actors that pull it off in such a natural way and I think he'll manage.

I agree with you that the pointy chin thing is worse than the mustache, though I'm not wild about the mustache, either. But the chin thing just looks so silly to me. I have a really hard time takinbg anyone with such a thing in his face seriously.

Tastes differ, but I really do think the beard is very silly-looking. I find a man with that thing in his face pretty much impossible to take seriously, and having him as the main romantic interest is real work for me, because I constantly have to overcome my aversion at the beard to consider him so much as a serious contender for the heroine.

I can see how the beard may be irksome for you like a cravat is for me. I personally equate beard with maturity and maturity in men is a desired trait. One last thing about cha seung won's beard and soul patch thingy: the shape of it looks like a tribal tattoo another known marker of maturity in men. I'll talk to him about removing the soul patch thingy when he is in this drama. Just for you Sylvia so let's mandoo and make up?

Don't worry, I understand how the facial hair of an actor you particularly like can be a touchy issue. ;-)
For me, this type of beard isn't a mark of maturity at all (a tribal tattoo wouldn't be either, come to that). But tastes differ. :-) Though I'd be very grateful for you to talk to him about the possibility of removing the soul patch thingie, yes! Please do!
