Looks like a certain A-list star has been spending some quality online procrastinatin’ time on that king of time-wasting enablers, Facebook: Sohn Ye-jin (Personal Taste, Into the White Night) has uploaded a whole bunch of sel-cas (short for self-camera, per Korea’s typical penchant for mangling English in an attempt to come up with a witty portmanteau — in this case it means self-shot photograph) to her account, as you can see below.
Sohn wrote, “For the first time in a long while, I present to you the sel-cas that have been stored in my cell phone. Are you all doing well? Now there are only three more shoots left for the movie Chilling Romance. Please send me your encouragement that we finish it safely.”
She added, “I won’t be taking much time to rest before I shoot my next film, but for some reason, rather than feeling tired, I’m full of new excitement. I’ll work hard to see you a lot this year.”
It’s still sorta hard to believe that drama producers expected us to believe that the clean ‘n classy Sohn Ye-jin could pass for a fashion-blind slob in Personal Taste — one desperately in need of some sparkle and polish by her supposedly-gay-but-really-just-metrosexual roommate — but then again, it’s also kinda hard to believe that it was convincing. (Remember this? And this? And this?) Sigh. I miss the Sohn Ye-jin/Lee Min-ho chemistry.

this question is quite off topic because is not related to sohn ye jin but is also facebook in korea,can someone tell me if facebook is very popular in korea?because korea have a relatively high population and koreans live in a developed country,they sure have computers but they use much facebook or they have something alike but local,in the past i though they were few users of facebook in korea but i recently i saw a lot of them and i want know the same about japan,i also know japanese users of facebook but i think they are few than koreans and more few than others countries,i think is ironic,but i know more users from philippines,writing about asian countries,even if philippines is a developing country
Actually, i don’t think so. They tend to use their me2day or cyworld or twitter accounts because most think facebook (even though you can change language settings) uses only English.
i agree w. lauren..lots of phillipinos tend to used FB..but rareely koreans in korea…they use cyworld alot..but twitter is becoming a trend over there
Last year not many Koreans used or knew about Facebook, but this year, it’s becoming a trend. I imagine that in 1-3 years many Koreans will be using Facebook. It’s true that Cyworld is commonly used in Korea, but the advantage of Facebook is that it’s international, and they are very aware of that.
Ever since ‘Social Network’ released last year, I imagine that the number of people using Facebook has increased world wide.

PT was the first time I saw Sohn Ye-Jin ever. And I really disliked her, well mostly her character and her looks. But on the other hand I didn’t really got past the first few episodes.
And now whenever I see a post about her I always think who is this lady, and why wasn’t SHE in PT.
Needless to say she is looking gorgeous in these pics, but I always wonder why Korean actresses try to look way younger then they are. By which I mean the big eyes, the way they pose in front of the camera. In some pics she really looks like a 16 year old.

I agree, beautiful grown women should be more appreciated, but Koreans are obsessed with big eyes and youth.
From what I’ve been told, the ideal beauty standard for Korean women is Kim Tae Hee, and the ideal beauty standard for Korean men is Won Bin.
But everybody’s got their own standard for beauty so to each his own.

The funny thing is when a drama tries to convince that the lead female character is ugly old-fashioned girl by making the other characters in the drama saying she is ugly and old-fashioned. While in fact the director or whoever in charge with the drama wardrobe has done nothing to make the character appearance looks ugly or old-fashioned.
I’m in my best time never looks as pretty as this “ugly” female character.
And if this “ugly” female character is old-fashioned, all this time I’ve been wearing fashion from Jurassic period.

wow! has it really been a year since PT aired? looking at the screen shots of son yeh jin, i can’t help but laugh! PT was such a feel-good drama..not to mention LMH can really make me feel good everytime he’s on screen!

The SYJ-LMH chemistry was surprisingly great in PT, though I was a bit skeptic before it aired because I wasn’t so sure how the age difference would play out.
SYJ was brilliant as always, making something good of her role in spite of the writing and editing disaster that was PT. Interestingly, it seemed like then only second-time drama lead LMH made really good use of starring with such a great actress because he stepped up his performance more than I expected he could.
I’m still hoping SYJ gets to a drama/movie with Kang Ji-hwan, Yoo Ji-tae or Chun Jung-myung because that would be FREAKIN’ AWESOME…
She is one of few korean ‘ actresses’ that i like!

she looks young and beautiful…its easy to take pictures to make ur eyes appear bigger and face slimmer…its the way u angle ur camera to ur face….but anyhow…she did a great job here with the sel/cas pixs…..love her acting too….she’s a great actress !!!
I can’t believe how young she looks. She looks pretty here, but I think she looks much prettier in natural lighting! There is also an aura abt Son Ye Jin that you can’t really capture on camera.
