Choi Min-soo confirms drama, will Kim Bum join him?

A-list star and veteran actor Choi Min-soo (Road No.1, Father’s House) has officially signed on to upcoming manhwa-sageuk drama adaptation Honorable Baek Dong-soo, and meanwhile top contender for the leading role, Kim Bum (The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry), is growing what suspiciously appears to be… is that… could it be… a MANE OF GLORY?
I think it is! Now WHYever would you be growing sageuk hair, Bummie? For fun? To make the noonas drool? Not that said goal isn’t an admirable one, to be sure. No complaints here. Not even if you grow Jang Geun-seok-hair. But perhaps your buddy Jung Il-woo‘s a better hair role model for you. Am TRYING not to picture the two of them sitting around, braiding each other’s hair … … … damnit. Too late. There goes my day.
Last week there were premature reports that Kim was nearly a done deal for the title role of Baek Dong-soo, only to have them be replaced with statements that he was simply “considering the role.” Now it looks like a few pieces of that initial story are being confirmed: for one, he’s growin’ the locks, and two, he seems to be workin’ out.
Well that’s what the story says, which I’ll just have to take their word for, until someone furnishes me with proof, say of the shirtless variety. If he really is spending time at the action school, (for martial arts training, not just for vanity’s sake) then I’d say it’s time to double down on him playing manhwa hero Baek Dong-soo. Either that or there’s some other Joseon-era sword-wielding rebel up for grabs.
At the helm are two PDs: Lee Hyun-jik (OB-GYN, Tazza), and Lee Myung-woo (Ja Myung-go). Casting is still in progress, and so far child actor Nam Ji-hyun (Giant), now sixteen, has also signed on.
It kind of makes me giggle to think of Kim Bum trying to be manly and heroic…standing next to Choi Min-soo (pffft) but maybe the veteran leading man will teach the up-and-comer a thing or two about being a hero?

oh bummie's hair looks amazing...but i am more exited over nam ji hyun...god i didn't know she was only 16 but loved her acting in will it snow for Christmas and Giant and would love to see her in this manhwa drama as well with hopefully as a female lead

I've been looking forward to this forever.
Choi Min-soo finally confirmed. Bleedin' Hellfire! YES!
Nam Ji-hyun, been a done deal from the get-go. OMG! YES!
The PDs from Ja Myung-go (gorgeous cinematography) and OB-GYN (nice, sharp editing) = YES!
But if Kim Bum joins I'm not touching this with a ten-foot barge pole.

I wouldn't mind someone like Kim Soo-hyun joining this project, his chemistry with Choi Min-soo in Father's House was wonderful *tear* plus a Nam Ji-hyun/Kim Soo-hyun reunion is only ever a good thing.

Hope he makes the decision to take this role. I think it would sure increase his acting repertoire.
I was getting sageuk withdrawals after Dong Yi concluded which I thought was excellently done. Saw Choi Min Soo In Father's House which I enjoyed. They would make a good acting duo. Can 't wait to see this drama.

Though Bummie is my fave amongst those 3 hot guys (JIW,LMH) I do have to agree with you, if you see him in real life (I came to his fanmeeting once last year) he has a lot more of childish charm to compare with his character in his dramas.
I hope at least he's close to meet my expectation to play this role.

I think his company wants to make a surprise for the fans, I'm sure one hundred percent he will take this project. Idk why but I have a strong feeling about this.
It's like my dream come true after all, Bummie needs to jump into some action genre. I don't really like he always played the same character in that romcom drama. dunno why. I think it's about time that he should shed his flower boy image.

Sooo excited...never been this excited since SG, SKKS and the likes. I need a really good drama to watch. 49 days is not enough to fill the whole week. I wanted the M-F straight kdrama madness like before...:))
