Oh no, we’re losing another one: Im Joo-hwan (Tamra the Island, Frozen Flower) is about to begin his military service, and will enlist on May 17. He’ll receive five weeks of basic training, then be assigned to active duty.
It’s hard to believe he’s 29 with that baby face of his, but he’s an 82er, all right. Im plans to enlist without a farewell press conference or other send-off event, which means the last we’ll get to see of him (aside from the customary walk/photo op outside the training center) is his movie with Ryu Seung-beom and Younha, Suspicious Customers. And, if we’re lucky, his campus musical drama What’s Up, which was supposed to have aired this spring but has been held back indefinitely. (Don’t hold your breath on that one. *cries*)
So say your goodbyes to Park Kyu, and get ready to wait it out for the two years he’ll be off. Sigh.
