just finished watching the first two eps of baby face beauty and i think i’m gonna stick with best love. The storyline just seems to be missing that extra thing that best love seems to have. basically best love ftw!!!
hi! it’s my first time in OT and i apologize for going off topic but i gotta ask because it’s really been bothering me.
what does “tangshin” mean exactly? i understand that it means “you” in banmal (and correct me if i’m wrong) but for some reason i get confused when characters say it either out of spite or out of affection. which one is it? is it supposed to be insulting or affectionate?
Koreans normally omit ‘you’ in their conversations. At least that’s what my How-To-Speak-Korean books tell me.
Dang-shin simply is the more polite version of ‘you’, I think. It’s normally used in ‘jondaemal’ and can be used for both affectionate situations and spiteful reasons.

I think because she and kang connected this way while she’s in the soul form there’s no way she’ll forget him. I’m basing this on the sonnet by William Shakespeare “Let me not to the marriage of true minds.” I think this describes what a soul-mate is accurately. I think she may not remember the details but she’ll feel something and it doesn’t matter if she doesn’t remember. Kang now has the confidence that she can love him too and he’ll definitely continue to love her and win her over again if need be.
I thought about it too. but will she believe with herself? that such thing happened? Maybe Kang will help him.

For the 2 weeks I have been listening to the music of “Boohwal “, when I heard the song “Never Ending Story,” it sounded very familiar, and then I realized that Yoon Sang Hyun sang that song for the drama “Queen Of Housewives,” I also found a version of the song sang by Lee Seung Gi, I still believe Boowhal’s, version with singer Lee Seung Chul is by far the best, but the other two they do justice to the song.. Yes my HD was reformatted.The tech support guy said press 0 without telling me it wipes your HD out.
It went to BIOS screen whatever that is.The best part is that the service centre for Toshiba said that the tech suport people there are reading off a flowchart and they don’t actually know about computers.
I was like ‘what?’ Oh the 2nd best part…nowhere on the Toshiba website is there a spot where I can put in a complaint about their dumb flowchart and informing customers about wiping out the computer

Say, I was surfing VIKI yesterday and saw your name on SM Town’s version of Hana Kimi. I wanted to ask, are they excluding Henry and Zhou MI? I just love those guys and know they get so much slack for being in “M”. It sure would be nice to have them included in the show too.

Softsubs for Best Love ep 1 and 2 are out.I figure after the long tutorial here…that soompi navigation is a breeze now and so is watching off VLC.
First off, Happy Mother’s Day.
Now, before I go see episode 16 of 49 Days, there is one little rant I’d like to get off my chest. It’s about the reasons why our evil couple, Min Ho and In Jung, are gunning for the Shins. I’m just not buying it. I mean, Min Ho’s “I had a terrible childhood so I’m going to make an innocent rich family suffer, although they had nothing to do with why I had a terrible childhood in the first place” excuse makes no logical sense. Nor does In Jung’s “The Shins were too nice to me, therefore I must destroy them” motivation. Couldn’t the writers come up with something better? I don’t expect a Giant/avenge murdered father kind of storyline for a light-weight drama such as 49 Days, but I would have liked a more reasonable, plausible, understandable incentive than “I hate nice people.”
heh, i agree! but i think in 49 days’ “villian” characters i see their reason behind it…even if it’s a bit ooogly .__.
For Min Ho, I guess it’s resentment in general that others have had a pompous life without ever being grateful so to boost his ego and yaknowww…feel like a man, he plays with innocent Ji Hyun and wants to feel like he’s worthy. there’s a scene when he hides from his ill mother (sorry if you haven’t seen this scene) but it shows that he is a human and feels shame for hurting those who he loves.
I think he’s the best character to shed a tear for Ji Hyun because for characters like him, a happy ending means that he’ll learn to forgive and accept that he too can feel loved and be loved….i have no idea if that made any sense!
For In Jung, isn’t it jealously? Tell me what you think!

I’ve been thinking about this. The thing is, he’s only trying to redistribute wealth. It’s a capitalist mentality one of the differences is he involved the daughter of the family. but this kind of thing happens all the time with big companies gobbling smaller ones. think in terms of a man’s story if they used the tactics that kim shin’s group used to show how min ho is taking the company it would make sense but they don’t have time nor interest ( thankfully) to show that but this is what is going on. He’s trying to make his life better he’s not really trying to get revenge.

aahh! just finished my SAT today for the first time. And now i have 4 episodes of 49 days to catch up with, 2 episodes of best love to watch and maybe, just maaaybe watch baby faced beauty. Oh and I have to do homework

stupid SAT, it made me feel drained after i finished and didn’t do anything but eat, watch 49 days (im sooo behind! I barely finished 13 yesterday after SAT), then a little later had dinner, after that I just re-watched BOF for the rest of the day. It’s funny though. now that I’m watching it for a 2nd time, I get even more frustrated with the characters and how dumb they kinda are. Especially the mom, she’s such a psycho butch.
okay, now that my rant is over… I have NO idea when results come in. I’m guessing next month? I’ll let you peeps know (if its not horrible, that is).
