Kim Sun-ah scheduled for shoulder surgery

Is she on a first name basis with the doctors and nurses by now? After spending the past three months in and out of the hospital, Kim Sun-ah is heading back for shoulder surgery… Waitaminute, that drama is over now. Drama vs. Reality, working on it. But sad to say, the shoulder part is true.
Kim’s agency, King Kong Entertainment stated, “Kim Sun-ah will be receiving surgery on her shoulder this October. Her right shoulder has always been problematic, but after sustaining an injury during the shooting of Scent of a Woman, it became necessary to get the surgery.” Kim Sun-ah originally sustained the injury while shooting an action scene in 2006, and has been receiving physical therapy ever since.
Kim Sun-ah will go in for her surgery after the premiere of her upcoming movie, Fighting Spirit, which opens in early October. Kim will choose which project she will tackle next depending on the result of her surgery, but Kim’s agency hints that there is one specific project she is keeping her eye on. I hope that whatever it ends up being, she picks another winner!

Agreed. She is good at picking her battle!! I guess it is because she knows her limitation and her strength well.

sad - injury after injury that are work-related, so serious that surgery is the answer... you've got to take better care of yourself, dear!
Lightening recovery after the surgery and hope the surgeon is as cool as poopypants. And don't worry about the scar - your acting is enough for me.

I hope she has a successful surgery. She's considering a true rom-com next. So, that's really something to look forward to. Looks like it will be at least mid 2012 then. Can we have Jung Woo Sung as the male lead? I'm tired of watching JWS in melos/sub-standard scripts.

We...ell he's in Padam which starts in Dec with Han Ji Min and Kim Bum.
However it does not look like a rom com though.

Oooo... etee! Me think you've made a mighty good suggestion. JWS is a really good actor but he seems to be stuck in some sub-standard shows lately that doesn't allow him to shine or show his true talent.
Now, if he gets to pair with KSA, wouldn't it be just awesome? Firstly, KSA knows how to pick the right show so it'll definitely not be a mediocre one. But more importantly, KSA has this incredible ability to bring out the best in her co-star. And I believe he will 'shine' very brightly with her!!!

Agreed. I'm trying to think of duds but the closest I can think of is "When it Comes at Night" but even that was loads better than something like YEH's "Lie To Me." (shiver)

May be that shoulder is the reason why she has the tendency to slouch and it look awkward cause she`s very tall.
i wish the surgery will be successful and wont cause any
side effects on her and I wish for her fast recovery...love this actress!
She`s still in Cebu, can`t go their for some reason.

And I hope she recovers fully and is able to rest well before jumping into anything. I love me some Kim Sun Ah lately. With that, Ill probably be on whatever boat she's on next. I hope it's not a melo boat though... Scent of a Woman wasn't a melo and she shed tears every 15mins in that show. I'm afraid if she's in a melo, I might die from dehydration.

She had an accident in 2006 and another one in 2008 that cause more pain to her shoulder and during shooting it might hurts, so she has to undergo operation, but during Scent filming, no news that she was hurt during shooting.

Some wondered about what #21 would be on her bucket list. Here is what she said:
Actress Kim Sun Ah shared her feelings after the end of SBS drama "Scent of a Woman."
On September 12, Kim Sun Ah wrote on her me2day account that "I still have yet to fulfill number 21 on my bucket list, which is to say: Thank you to all of the viewers."
"It still feels like I have to rush out of bed and go film episode 17. Please give me some time. I can't really say anything else right now. I still need to sort out my emotions. Please have a happy Chuseok," stated Kim Sun Ah posting a picture at the same time.
