HA! Oh man. I can’t even.
Posters are out for MBC’s new romantic comedy series Me Too, Flower, which are ridiculous and possibly awesome. It brings to mind the sparkly frivolity of You’re Beautiful‘s promo poster, mixed with the Mary Poppins whimsy of Secret Garden’s.
The top two posters feature the two leads and love interests, Lee Jia and Yoon Shi-yoon. The bottom one adds some of the supporting cast members, such as Seo Hyo-rim, Jo Min-ki, Han Go-eun, and Lee Ki-kwang.
I love that these posters tell me nothing about the drama’s actual plot, except for maybe there’s a cop who flies and shoots flower petals instead of bullets. And I love that they hammer in the flower motif, just in case we didn’t get it, you know, from the title. (All joking aside, I think the flowers are gorgeous. Love the logo.)
Fluffy, frothy, and possibly ridiculous? I’m there. And if that isn’t enough for you, perhaps the writer — of My Name Is Kim Sam-soon and What’s Up Fox? fame — will encourage you to give it a whirl.
Me Too, Flower premieres next Wednesday, November 2, on MBC.

Ha! I give them props for at least making the postere funny. I’m still not sold on the cast so I’m pretty iffy about this drama. Not a fan of Lee Jia and Yoon Shi-yoon still looks mighty mis-casted to me.

Wow, the sexual chemistry is steamy and on fire. Not. But that first poster truly is glorious. It takes me back to the idyllic days of prancing in a flower field, eating mushrooms and making out with my brother.

And then they crash on each other, and then we get a hilarious drama (hopefully). – how these connect to make sense… I have no idea. I think I’m drunk. Which reminds me of the magic flower liquor of Secret Garden. Okay, I’ll stop babbling now.

Hmm…not a big fan of the lead cast, but I’m kind of intrigued b/c of the writer. As long as there’s decent chemistry on-screen + awesome writing + great characterization = a good chance of trying the 1st episode.
Every time I think I might want to watch this drama, I’m bombarded with stuff that changes my mind…
I always feel that the graphic designers who create the Kdrama posters are high on some sort of green leaf – they just don’t know when to stop when it comes to Photoshopping.
These posters remind me of something left over from the hippie era. So many flowers…
The writer is the only thing keeping me even semi-interested in this drama. Hopefully the cast & crew will manage to pull through even with the incredibly tight schedule they are running on.

The writer of Sam Soon and What’s Up, Fox?! Well, that changes everything. I’m fully confident in this show now, despite only being familiar with YSY. But hey, he’s enough for me!! And yeah, these posters are so overly photo shopped but it looks kinda neat in a way.
Ya the writer definitely makes the outlook on this show a bit better. But the boob-bumping poster definitely is…interesting. It makes me want to watch to see what the hell thats supposed to mean!

haha I think yoon shi-yoon is purely taking this role for the money. I bet the producers pay him a good sum to save them from sinking. Since it’ll be hard for them to get anybody with a name to be in here.

Ah! It’s a NO for me. Even if the poster is silly and all, still not a fan of Lee Jia. She looks way way way older than the male lead. Gonna skip this one and stick with my love Thousand Day of Promise and Vampire Prosecutor. That 2 drama is my drug right now. ^^

I like Lee Ji ah, so i’ll watch this for her, and as a way of supporting her, overseas at least. All that case involving her and husband was so unfair and chaovinistic that i hope her drama becomes a hit and she can fully be back again.
