Yoo Ji-tae and Kim Hyo-jin’s wedding photos
by | December 1, 2011 | 40 Comments

Eee, these may be my favorite wedding photos ever. (Pre-wedding photos, to be specific.) I just love the old-fashioned dress and styling here; vintage wedding photos are my favorite.

Actors Yoo Ji-tae (Oldboy, A Star’s Lover) and Kim Hyo-jin (Mary Stayed Out All Night) have been dating for years and are all set to tie the knot this Friday, at Seoul’s Silla Hotel. The couple recently posed for a wedding-themed photo spread for Bazaar’s November issue, where they rocked a modern look with fashion-forward wedding-wear. I love that this set of photos goes completely in the direction, down to the lighting and the treatment of the image to look old and vintage. Fabulous.

The couple weds on December 2, and it’ll be a busy end of the year as the newlywed Yoo Ji-tae then takes on the filming of his directorial feature debut with Sansevieria, which will begin shooting in January.

I thought they looked creepy too, with the aged treatment of the photos. :P Something out of a Korean horror movie. *shiver*

    Congratulations to the couple!

This almost made me wanna get married. Almost.

Not me. Marriage just doesn’t make sense. Should one ever want to separate, it just makes everything so much more complicated. And honestly, why marry? Just stay with someone as long as you love them and are happy. If that’s forever, that’s great. But you don’t actually stay together longer just because you marry XD

But anyway, it’s great for them, I hope they’ll be happy ^^

They look so happy – these are charming photos. I love the antiqued, sepia tones of these.

Just a question, tho – shouldn’t the bride be sporting those red cheek dots (ala Gumiho) for this period dress? Or is it purely a choice and not traditional?

    ohhh! so beautiful!

  30. 30 Rovi

    Love it.

And the link for Jeong Tae-woo & wife’s wedding spread made me feel like I was in the 1920′s to early 40′s…
(just think of “Seoul Scandal”, “Seoul 1945″, & the early episodes of “Fashion 70′s”)

And now, Yoo Ji-tae & wifey’s spread, made me feel like I was in the 1890′s to early 1900′s… (where the early photos of Koreans posing had a sentimental feel, similar to this spread…)

Awwww man, I think this couple is gonna give my Kang Hye-Jun + Tablo (cutest couple EVUH!) crush a run for it’s money.

  32. 32 Retta
