What a great way to whet my appetite for this movie, as if I weren’t already chomping at the bit to see it. Stars of the new movie Love Fiction, Gong Hyo-jin and Ha Jung-woo, take to Australia’s Gold Coast in a shoot for Marie Claire that makes me want to start buying summer sundresses and trade in my car for a yacht. Okay, that’s totally impractical. It’s way too cold for sundresses yet.
I love their easy, laid-back chemistry. I’m sure her real-life boyfriend Ryu Seung-beom is using it to fuel his method acting for his next role, where he gets to play an assassin who goes after Ha Jung-woo. Just sayin’. Convenient timing is all.
The movie stars Ha Jung-woo as a neurotic, nerdy writer who is a clingy mess of a man when it comes to the woman he loves, and Gong Hyo-jin plays a cool-headed careerwoman who totally throws him off his game. Critics are raving about the 180-degree turn in Ha Jung-woo, who normally plays the very serious, very badass guy in every movie. In this project described as the “male Bridget Jones,” he’s hilarious, embarrassingly frank, and an idiot when it comes to love. Aw.
A poster for the film (below) has him clinging to her leg with the tagline: “No matter what, I was wrong / Let it go just once / Please don’t go…”

I love the poster and the shoot. Albeit the shoot is very…safe (not really expressive or anything) but it still has a nice summer feel to it. The poster and it’s color scheme is really interesting to me. I like it. It sort of reminds me of old 1990-2000 korean rom coms …..

Heels are very useful on a boat. This way you can pretend losing your balance with a wave, and then you fall in the sea. Then the captain can dive in slow motion to save you from drowning. At this point you got the choice : breathing kiss underwater, or CPR on the boat.

It may be too cold for sundresses where you are GirlFriday but its bloody hot in Australia at the moment, so the sundress is quite practical.

It’s actually decently warm here in Korea (a balmy 48 F, which is an enormous improvement from the 18 F it was a couple of weeks ago), so I could see breaking out the sundresses. As long as I could still pair them with tights.. >.>
But omg, this came out yesterday?? Excuse me while I attempt to round up some friends who aren’t terrified of seeing Korean movies in Korean so we can spend our Red Day (I have no idea what it is, but we don’t have school today) watching this cuteness.
