girlfriday: Yeah they had the chemistry of… two… un-reacty substances, even when using a bunsen burner.
javabeans: Now there’s a drama where I wouldn’t have been surprised if they’d thrown a fauxcest storyline our way, because that’s the vibe I got. If a noona coldly used her little brother for monetary gain, that is.
girlfriday: Though in that case we’d have to compare it to the awesome noona-dongseng pairing between his little bro and Su Ae in Thousand Day Promise. I wanted her to adopt him.
javabeans: I still think it’s weird when you see the Yoobros together, because I get so used to thinking of Yoochun as the dongsaeng, and then I have to recalibrate my brain to remember that in some cases he’s the hyung.
girlfriday: That’s better than me, who still thinks they’re the same person.
javabeans: I can tell the Yoobros apart, but sometimes I still wonder how Yoochun can be in JYJ and Shinhwa at the same time.
girlfriday: Totally. When I didn’t know who he was (before he was in dramas), and then he showed up, I was like hey, Andy!
javabeans: Right? Like, dude, how come you haven’t aged in fifteen years?
girlfriday: And… I thought you were in the army?
javabeans: Maybe THEY’ve figured out the doorway to the fourth dimension.
girlfriday: Or at least a Duplicator.
javabeans: Maybe that explains the plot of this drama. He finds a pathway through the fourth dimension (Princey Goes Modern), and she gets a Duplicator (Princess Gets A New Body).
girlfriday: Yeah that would help, because I still have yet to understand how he thinks traveling forward a few centuries is the ticket to finding his lost princess.
javabeans: I love how she’s all like, “Ooh, I love you and I want to hold and squeeze you!” And he’s like, “Ehn. I’m not your puppy!” And she’s like, “Of course you are. Shut up and let me hug you.” Just like all the fan-noonas out there in the world.
girlfriday: Looks like she’s playing puppy too, all you’re-my-pet in a cardboard box. Maybe the poster concept is Rooftop Pet.
javabeans: Or You’re My Little Prince?
girlfriday: Aw, I love The Little Prince! Too bad he’s not actually from another star, like the Vampidols. Their whole ugly-is-pretty thing was the funniest fish-out-of-water concept I’ve seen in a while. Too bad Yoochun’s not uglier. Wait. Did I just say that?
javabeans: Ha, as if the prince-leapfrogs-centuries-and-gets-poor-and-meets-his-dead-princess’s-double isn’t weird enough for you, you want him to be an alien too? Is that just an excuse for you to “teach” him the ways of our world, like how you must always greet noona with a kiss and a cookie?

Could also be because he is from another era. In those days (of princes and Joseon era and such), skinship was kept to a minimum and meant a lot, as I understand it and as Javabeans explained in one of her posts. I think Yoochun is staying in character… which I think is cute and adorable.

He has never really appealed to me so all the fangirling has been a puzzle but I think I might start to see it in this, Too be fair this will be my first drama with him so perhaps it’s that.
I totally understand where you’re coming from JoAnne. I mean I know he is ok looking, but he’s never hit me as HOT. But that’s because I’ve never followed DBSK or JYJ, and have never seen his dramas – only read recaps. But I think if I end up liking this drama than you can say I’m a new found Yoochun fan. Sigh. You don’t get the appeal of him now but once you get his appeal than you will stuck with that and can’t go away from his spell LoL.. cos that’s what happened to me. He may not be that attractive at first glance cos it took me many many glances to fall for him. But actually he has really nice features if u look at him carefully.His long eyelashes, sharp nose bridge and sexy lips. And not to mention his bright smile. Ok i’m fangirling now. haha and I have never been loyal to any actor or celebrity like now. I change biases often but now I only stick with yuchun.

I was hesitant to watch it at first bec i dont really watch Sageuk drama. But since it has good reviews, I decided to watch it and at first, Song Joongki appeal to me and not Yoochun… but as the episode progresses, with all close up thing and love dilemma, I found myself completely lost in Yoochun-PMY land…
Plus gotta love Jalgeum Quartet… and all the characters actually.
I personally didn’t get Micky Yoonchun until I saw him in SKKS and then when I saw him do an interview in ENGLISH. That was so sexshi. He has a certain charisma.

Ok, I never found Yoochun particularly good-looking…..i discontinued SS cuz his character was such a snooze, didn’t watch Ripley, BUT he’s lookin’ good here. heh. And, they look soo good together…i think what helps me is that i saw some shots of the four boys with manes of glory in tracksuits lookin’ at HJM on how to prepare/eat ramyun. It was too adorable for words to describe!!

This is one of the reasons why I LOVE Han Ji Min….she has been paired up with quite strong actors like Uhm Tae Woong, Kang Ji Hwan, So Ji Sub and Lee Seo Jin….and she always seem to compliment them, despite the fact that she’s not really a great actress…..
I mean she’s alright and always deliver her stuff, but she’s not really a super strong actress….yet she’s always a nice addition to any drama production…….
