The King 2 Hearts: Episode 12

There’s nothing better than a show that can pack an hour full of heart-stopping action, fairytale romance, and gut-busting humor. Our hero gets into trouble, but you know what that means – time for the heroine to swoop in and save the day. ‘Ssup.

EPISODE 12 RECAP

Hang-ah’s father races into the prime minister’s office with the news – General ShortFuse has gone off the reservation and Jae-ha is in danger. Nooo! This is why we need a batphone!

Sure enough, the general’s troops march right up to Jae-ha to announce that they will be taking over his security detail from now on. Shi-kyung steps forward to tell them that he’s the only one who gets to put his hands on the king. Okay, he doesn’t say that, but he does step forward like a big ol’ hero to say that’s his job.

Soldiers on both sides tense up and reach for their guns. Shi-kyung is in full-on Doberman mode. Jae-ha comes forward and asks for their rank, and dismisses them with a laugh. I don’t think that was such a good idea.

The prime minister reacts skeptically to the news, even though it’s happening right now. He says that the general was just blowing off steam, but he wouldn’t do something so crazy as to kidnap the South Korean king… and then names the location where he’s going to be kidnapped. Er…

Hang-ah’s father looks up. He never said where…

Augh, the friggin’ prime minister’s in on it too? Is there anyone we can trust? At least he’s not so much IN on the plan, as he’s letting the plan happen so he can catch General Shouty and get rid of him for good.

But Hang-ah’s father reminds him that it’s the KING they’re talking about. Forget kidnapping – it’d be war if he got a splinter under his nail. Hee. I do enjoy prissy king jokes, despite the gravity of the situation.

He reminds the prime minister that war is the only way this scenario ends, which means a leveled peninsula, both North and South. That finally gets through to the man, and they send troops to arrest the general and his men, but they’re already in the wind. In fact it just makes the baddies move their timetable up.

Dad comically pretends to be talking about something else when Hang-ah bursts into his office during a frantic phone call. He’s turned the base upside-down looking for the general, which she tells him, and he’s like, how’d you know? Ha.

She tells him that Jae-ha has to be sent back home immediately, and Dad says he’s already on it—he’ll be sent back first thing tomorrow, because he’s got a few more stops on his cultural itinerary that can’t be undone.

Hang-ah freaks out, as do I. This is not a leisurely I’ll-take-in-the-sights-and-then-run-away-from-my-kidnappers-later kind of scenario here. But Dad in turn freaks out over her caring about a man who has nothing to do with her anymore. He swears he’s got it under control, and puts her under house arrest for good measure.

Jae-ha heads to an amusement park next, and Shi-kyung worries about the openness of the landscape. Won’t it be hard to secure the area? LISTEN to your head of security please. But their guide assures them it’ll be fine.

Hang-ah worries about the same thing when she hears about Jae-ha’s next stop from the two soldiers guarding her at home. They tell her to forget that jerk already, and ask if they can peek at the present he brought.

She tells them they can have it all and goes to her room, to stare herself down in the mirror and say over and over that Jae-ha is no longer any of her concern.

Dad decides to oversee Jae-ha’s amusement park visit personally, and watches as he rides the Viking. At first it’s dead silent, with citizens on one side and Jae-ha and his security team on the other, so finally Jae-ha nudges Shi-kyung and raises his arms up for a Whoooo~!

No one else follows along, so he has to force Shi-kyung, who does the most awkward and self-conscious Whooooo~. He finally gets everyone to join in, and they have a great time for the cameras, broadcasting live on the internet.

He even stops to wink into the camera at Secretary Eun, who watches from the palace. Keh. Everything is business as usual down at the park, but from the top of a hill, the baddies put their plan into motion and take over a security room.

Hang-ah cleans her room, which serves as a distraction for about five minutes. She comes out to ask about lunch, and the soldiers say they found a box underneath the other stuff in Jae-ha’s present.

They hand her the gift-within-a-gift, a box marked with the royal seal and a note: Handmade by Lee Jae-ha. Flashback to Jae-ha researching the best thing to make for her skin, and slaving away over his chemistry set like a big ol’ nerd. So. Cute.

She braces herself and then opens the box. There’s a note inside: “An unfamiliar marriage, an awful man, a miscarriage… For Kim Hang-ah, who had a really hard time: Natural 3-step Skincare Project.”

That’s adorable. It comes with detailed instructions on how to use everything, and then she takes out the first bottle. It’s called: “I’m sorry.” The second: “Thank you.” Omg so sweet.

Cut back to Chemistry Set Jae-ha, getting frustrated halfway through. He wonders if he has to work this hard, and then takes out his phone to look at a picture of Hang-ah dressed as his princess bride.

He sighs, “Of course you do, you jerk.” HA. He says to the picture, “I love you.”

And then Hang-ah takes out the last bottle. The third label: “I love you.” Awwww. She looks down at the gift, overcome with emotion.

She peeks outside at her sentries and asks for lunch again, and they rush to her side. Cut to: Hang-ah holding both agents by the throat, one with her hand, and one with her foot, while her free hand waves around a gun. Hahahaha.

She tells them she’ll be going out now, and then changes into her military uniform. It’s totally her superhero cape moment. She makes a call on her way out, to ask someone if they’re up for some training. Please be your WOC team. I want that reunion so badly.

Jae-ha gets led to a carousel, and he eyes the ride like, you want me to get on this? They swear it’s the last one, so he sighs and turns to Shi-kyung, who decides that it’s probably safe enough for him to ride alone. Ha. Is riding little horsies too emasculating for the super agent?

Jae-ha walks off sighing, “Stresssss.” The park’s mascot, Tom (of Tom and Jerry) follows him onto the ride along with a few civilians, and is anyone else suspicious of that overly cheery cat?

He goes ’round and ’round and everything seems fine, until suddenly the lights cut out. Bong-gu watches the live feed online, screaming, “Showtime!”

Suddenly the civilians aren’t civilians anymore—they take out guns and train them at Jae-ha’s head. Tom takes off his cat head, and of course it’s the agent he laughed at earlier that day.

Tom leads Jae-ha around the carousel, and Shi-kyung spots them. Guns come flying out from every direction, but so do Tom’s agents, who surround the secret service. Crap crap crap.

But then as if things weren’t bad enough, the baddies all rip open their jackets to reveal bombs strapped to their chests. Oh. Shit. Tom says go ahead and shoot, and he demonstrates by shooting one of his own men. He promptly explodes.

He announces that every bomb is wired to go off if the guy wearing it dies, and takes out a big trigger button as he orders everyone to drop their weapons and step back. They do as they’re told, with no other choice.

And then he reads a prepared speech for the camera, basically an angry attack at Jae-ha for using Hang-ah and stepping on North Korea’s pride. Oh, so this is you defending her honor? How helpful, but I think she’s got it under control there, cat.

Bong-gu has a direct connection to Tom via earpiece, and he actually directs him mid-speech to ask that the camera show Jae-ha’s terrified face. Dude, you are obsessed. He interrupts Tom’s speech to cut to the chase—his message to Jae-ha.

Tom hands Jae-ha the pre-recorded message from Bong-gu, claiming responsibility. Bong-gu watches eagerly, “That’s him, watching it right now, right?” He practically drools.

Hang-ah arrives just outside the park, running as she radios her backup. It’s Kang-seok! Whoooooo! And… whoa, is that a rocket launcher on your back, or are you just happy to see me?

And then! Young-bae sets up his sniper rifle from the top of the ferris wheel. NICE. The band is back together! Hang-ah looks down from the hill and her eyes widen at the sight below.

Jae-ha watches all of Bong-gu’s recording, barely holding back his terror. Please, don’t give him the satisfaction. He chucks the tablet on the ground in annoyance, “What’s he saying?” HA. I love that he’s smarter than the evil mastermind!

He looks Tom up and down, “Is Kim Bong-gu talking to you in that earpiece?” He turns to the camera, “He’s watching right?” Tom panics and takes out a gun from his cat belly. Jae-ha’s like, how much stuff do you have in there? Hee.

Jae-ha turns to the camera to give the best comeback ever: “Ya, Kim Bong-gu. If you’re going to work out your inferiority complex, do it right. What is this? Are you advertising to the entire world what a laughable ass you are? You can’t even show yourself so you send a video letter? What is this, Section TV? Are you shooting We Got Married? I. Don’t. Love you. So please stop, and go exercise. It’s really the best thing for a complex. Or go read a book. Work on cultivating your inner self. You overly self-conscious inferiority-complex-riddled ass!”

So. Satisfying. Bong-gu FLIPS out. “Kill him. KIIIIIIIIILL HIIIIIIIIIIIIIM! Detonate now!”

Boom! There’s an explosion, but it’s not the baddies. It’s Kang-seok, who busts through a wall to overtake the security station. He gets the lights on and the carousel moving again. It’s enough to throw the baddies into confusion, as they scramble to regain control.

And that’s when Sniper Young-bae fires at Tom’s trigger arm, and then takes out the surrounding gunmen, one by one. Yessss! Shi-kyung scrambles for a gun. But Hang-ah is faster, and she jumps onto the roof of the carousel, ready to make her move.

The cameras catch her, and everyone, including Mom and Secretary Eun, sees her. Kang-seok throws smoke grenades onto the carousel to give her cover, and she swoops in with one flying kick after another, to take out all of the gunmen singlehandedly.

Tom scrambles for the remote trigger and reaches out… and Hang-ah stomps on his hand and kicks the trigger away. She whips out her gun and sticks the barrel in his mouth. Dayum. Shi-kyung and the rest of the agents fight their way up and secure the bomber from her grasp.

Jae-ha watches as she turns and walks right off the carousel and into the night, like a superhero who’s done her work and doesn’t look back. It’s even got the dramatic smoke and everything. So badass.

She goes straight to her car to drive away, when a car pulls up in her path. Jae-ha gets out and stands in the road. She puts the car in park and then guns the accelerator, staring right at him. Ha. Nice way to let out some anger.

She shifts into drive and drives head on, but he doesn’t move or flinch. I love it. It’s his way of saying I’m not going anywhere. She stops a few feet short of turning him into a pancake and gets out of the car with a peeved look.

He asks, “Do you like me, or do you like Eun Shi-kyung?” She scowls, “I don’t know about that, but I do have someone I hate.”

Jae-ha: “Lee Jae-ha?” He reminds her of his famous vengeful streak. “I’m going to get revenge for those words.” She turns away, still fuming.

He takes a step closer. “Every morning, I’m going to kiss you. For revenge.” Hahaha.

“I’m going to follow you around all the time like a stalker, and buy you everything you want. I’ll never cheat. I will only look at you. From now on, I’ll never let you cry even one tear.” Which is of course exactly when she starts to cry. Aw.

He walks closer and wipes the tears from her eyes. “I’m going to make you the happiest queen in the world. And until the day I die, I will nauseatingly like only you. For revenge.” So adorable, the true-to-character, sweet-with-a-kick proposal.

And then, he gets down on one knee, and takes her hand in his. “Can you handle it, your highness?” She just looks down at him, crying more tears. He smiles, “Hey I’m officially proposing to you right now.”

She finally opens her mouth… to mutter that South Korean playboys are always smooth-talking with their stupid words, as she sniffles back tears. Hee.

He gets up and hugs her tight, as the cherry blossoms fall.

Now it’s time to deal with the baddies, starting with General Regrets-a-Lot, who demands payment from Club M because he held up his part of the bargain. Sort of. They don’t quite agree, and send his location to Hang-ah’s father, who doesn’t receive the help kindly, but does arrest the man with pleasure.

And then Bong-gu takes out his frustrations on his right-hand man, because… um… he can? What’s an impotent rage if you can’t share it with those closest to you?

Back home, news of the incident gets reported as “WOC members” saving the day, and Dong-ha sighs at the lack of naming names. Seriously, you save the day, and you don’t even get a mention on the news.

Secretary Eun releases an official statement on the question of Kim Bong-gu, as in who the hell is he, and he deflects to say that he’s nobody important, and that it’s a nickname the king invented to represent those who oppose reunification. Pffft. He apologizes to all the Kim Bong-gus of the world for misusing their name. Ha.

He calls Jae-ha to say that he got the press off that scent for now, and Jae-ha asks if anyone’s found the recording (of Bong-gu claiming responsibility) yet. They haven’t, but Secretary Eun reminds him that he doesn’t have the power to do anything with that evidence anyway.

He says that most big players already know that Kim Bong-gu is John Meyer, but they can’t do anything about it because it would mean war for their country. Jae-ha asks how long they’re just supposed to stand by, while he kills hyung, goes after Jae-shin, and now him. Secretary Eun calls him out, saying truth be told, Jae-ha is scared too—that’s why he hasn’t acted yet, why he hasn’t come forward about Bong-gu’s identity. URG. I hate you, old man!

Shi-kyung interrupts him to say it’s time to go home. Jae-ha walks down the train platform where the prime minister apologizes again for what happened while he was here. Jae-ha asks if he knows who Kim Bong-gu is.

He can tell by the look on his face that he does. “Let’s grow strong together.” Nice. He reaches out his hand, and the prime minister shakes it. Hey, enemy of my enemy can be an ally when it counts.

Hang-ah calls her father to say that she’s going now. He pouts that he doesn’t care, whatever, she’s just going to do what she wants anyway. Aw. Jae-ha boards the train car and snatches the phone from her.

He calls him “Father,” and promises to visit with Hang-ah after chuseok. Dad says he can’t handle the stress from his visits, given the international terrorist fiascos and whatnot, but Jae-ha insists they’ll be there, and leaves Dad smiling. Yay.

He asks why the long face, and she says that South Korea still scares her, and she’s worried about how she’ll be received. He takes her hand reassuringly.

They arrive at the palace and Mom and Secretary Eun are waiting in her room. Mom runs up and takes Hang-ah’s face in her hands, and tells her how sorry and grateful she is. Hang-ah says she should bow properly, and Mom says no, she should be the one bowing to Hang-ah, for saving her son’s life.

She leads her inside to her room filled with presents sent from well-wishers, from food to seaweed to bears and other gifts. She opens up a few, overwhelmed by the gestures, and then finds a note in one, written in blood? Creepy red ink? “Kim Hang-ah Die.”

HAHAHAHAHA. This show, it kills me. What a way to cut the saccharine. Mom quickly snatches that one out of her hands, but Hang-ah’s so happy she doesn’t even register it.

Jae-ha smiles, pleased at her warm reception, and Secretary Eun follows him out to say that that’s not really a lot of presents, and technically, fifty percent of the public still opposes the union. Jae-ha groans, “Ajusshi! Do you have to say things like that right now? We just got here!”

Secretary Eun just doesn’t want him floating around with his head in the clouds (or he delights in being a killjoy because he’s eeeeevil, take your pick) and Jae-ha assures him that he won’t, saying that Daddy Eun is just as un-fun as Shi-kyung.

“I know it’s just the beginning. I’m going to raise it—that power you talked about.” Secretary Eun smiles proudly despite himself. I do think that he believes he’s justified in everything he’s doing for the good of the monarchy. It’s just… you know what they say about the road to hell.

Shi-kyung goes right back to work like the toy solider that he is, gathering more intel on Club M. I don’t know why he has to be told this by someone else, but the princess is the one who holds the key to identifying her brother’s killer.

He goes to check on Jae-shin and finds her playing cards with her staff. She’s happy to see him and asks him to join the game, but he’s so wired from worrying about her that he ends up asking gruffly if this is all she’s been doing while he was gone, instead of trying to recover her memories.

She gets defensive and asks why he’s attacking her when he of all people knows what she’s going through. Shi-kyung: “So do you want my pity?” Ouch. She looks up at him with a stricken look, saying that she can’t force herself to remember.

But he challenges her, “Or is it that you don’t want to remember?” He calls her out for clinging to it as a weakness, to get more sympathy, to be treated with kid gloves by everyone around her.

He tells her that she has to face it, and even if the memories don’t come back, if she doesn’t deal with it, she’s just going to get worse and worse. “Please come back, Princess. Be bold, like you were before.”

But this is a tough love speech she’s not ready to hear, and she cuts him off to call and ask that Shi-kyung be replaced by another agent from now on. Nooo. She calls him a frustrating ass.

It stuns him so much that he stands through an entire meeting with Jae-ha lost in thought. He remembers every time Jae-shin called him frustrating in cute ways, culminating in the last one, meant to be an insult.

Jae-ha snaps him back to reality, and Shi-kyung asks, “Am I really that frustrating?” Aw, but you’re also adorably earnest! Jae-ha isn’t one to mince words, and confirms it, and Shi-kyung just sighs, resigned to his fate as a funless bot. Maybe we could install some party programs in your CPU.

Jae-ha then goes to Hang-ah, to fill her in on Kim Bong-gu, Club M, and everything that’s been going on. See, THIS is what I’ve been waiting for. The romantic declarations are all swoonworthy, but I love that he treats her as an equal, and goes to her for advice and support. It’s real, and lovely.

He tells her everything about Bong-gu—that he’s just one man, but more than just a man. He has endless money, with which he’s bought up everything. His modus operandi: “That power is justice.” Might is right? Yeah, that about sums it up. Evil bastards.

He says the whole world wants to see North and South tear each other apart. He spins the little globe on the table with a sigh, “There’s so much to do, but we’re so small.” Man, you can just see it on her face, like she’s watching him grow up in front of her.

He asks if she thinks they can do it—the WOC, getting married. She’s struck by his sincerity and his very kingly concerns, which is a side of him she’s never really seen before.

Suddenly she’s like waitaminute, “What’re you saying, that you’re NOT going to marry me?” Ha. He’s like, I am, I am, but she bolts up, “So if it gets difficult, are you just going to send me back? You know that’ll be the THIRD TIME!”

She rants, calling him a rat bastard, and he takes her hands, repeating that they will, he swears, what about now, next month? Hee. But she pulls her hands away and tells him to stomp out Bong-gu first: “If you can’t handle him, you’re not even a MAN. Why would I marry a guy like that?”

Oh nice. She’s totally turning it into a challenge for him. It’s brilliant. He has something to fight for, and gets a boost of confidence without being patronized. Plus it has the added benefit of leaving him all flustered. She says she’ll reject him if he doesn’t succeed, and he calls out after her, “I’ll do well!”

She storms into her room and calls Daddy, asking how long he’s known about Bong-gu. He whines at being woken up in the middle of the night and wonders how she knows, and she shouts into the phone that Comrade Jae-ha, a guy who laughs when people threaten him with bombs, is quaking in his boots.

“I’m not going to leave him be—the bastard who made my man this way!” She’s so cute. She starts yelling about how she’s going to slit his throat, and Dad tells her he’s already on it, with the research.

But research isn’t gonna cut it for Action Girl, and she basically orders Dad to find out where Bong-gu lives, lying that Jae-ha needs it for his plan. Thank you! Someone else who thinks just bombing the hell out of his fancy house should do the trick. I know, it’s probably not going to work, but I need someone to TRY.

Meanwhile, Jae-ha and Shi-kyung are off chasing another lead on Bong-gu—a girl at a club who sees him on a regular basis. They track her down, and Jae-ha goes in for the big seduction…

But he spins back on his heels to remind Shi-kyung that this is all in the name of The Plan. “The person I love is our Hang-ah. There is only Hang-ah… Just in case she says something, you have to be my witness!” Pfffft. Shi-kyung smiles and nods. I don’t know how he’s not busting a gut right now.

Annnnd, I was already laughing, but then you got a full shot with your shiny shoes, and now I’m on the floor.

Mission: Seduce-the-girlfriend-but-only-in-the-name-of-the-plan-if-Hang-ah-asks is a go.

Sometime later Bong-gu receives a care package in the mail, sent to his home address. It’s got a royal seal on it. He opens the letter from Jae-ha that says he sent a present, but not to bother opening it.

It requires a password, and Jae-ha wouldn’t want him to suffer trying to figure it out. He does give a hint though: “It’s something I have, that you don’t.” Taunting the villain never gets old. He closes the letter with, “But don’t open it. You’ll regret it.”

So of course he sits down with it right away. He’s so hooked. Also, I love the password game! Among the things he tries: royal seal, good looks (deciding that’s not true after all, ha), honor, youth, manners, a conscience.

Jae-ha tells Secretary Eun about the plan and says that now is the time to strike, and he’s going to do it together with Hang-ah. He asks for ajusshi’s help.

Bong-gu goes crazy (er, crazier) trying to open the box, and flings it at his minion to take an axe to it. Only of course it’s wired to explode if it’s tampered with. Have you never seen a spy movie? He refuses to let it be taken away.

The royal couple heads out to Hang-ah’s first public appearance since the hearings. Jae-ha asks if she’s ready, and she nods. He holds her hand one last time in the car, and then leads her up the red carpet hand-in-hand.

Bong-gu ponders the password, and then it hits him. He gets up with a start and whispers into the box, “People.”

It opens.

Jae-ha and Hang-ah reach the top of the steps, and then face each other for one last us-against-the-world look. Then they turn to face the cameras.

COMMENTS

WHAT’S IN THE BOX? Okay, sorry I had to get that Seven quote out of my system. I love the games Jae-ha plays with Bong-gu, knowing that curiosity will get the better of the maniacal bastard. So far he’s played every exchange with him perfectly—that carousel speech was such sweet vengeance, not to mention crazy brave, given the circumstances. And even in setting the password to “People,” it says so much about what Jae-ha understands about his adversary.

Sure, he has more money, more power than Jae-ha has. But the king has his people—from the woman he loves and his action wingman, to every last citizen in his kingdom, something that Bong-gu will never have. More than anything, I love that he’s come to acknowledge that a king can be more than a puppet, and that maybe he finally gets what hyung always said about the king belonging to the people—the crown is theirs, and it represents them. Though he might not have money or power, he has the might of the people, and perhaps he’ll find that when moved, they are a greater power than money can ever buy.

It was so satisfying to see Hang-ah and Jae-ha each be badass in their own ways when faced with danger. How much do I love that he’s the brains and she’s the brawn? I mean, REALLY. It doesn’t get any better than that. I wish we could’ve gotten an actual reunion scene with the WOC team post-rescue—they saved his life for crying out loud. But I’m going to tell myself that there were hugs and drinks and SNSD jokes offscreen somewhere.

The proposal was adorable, of course, but what’s great about this couple is that their everyday interactions are just as full of bickering cuteness as the big romantic moments are, so it’s not a departure from the norm. And I love that they’ve finally moved past fighting each other, so that they can fight the world together, hand in hand.

Suddenly she’s like waitaminute, “What’re you saying, that you’re NOT going to marry me?” Ha. He’s like, I am, I am, but she bolts up, “So if it gets difficult, are you just going to send me back? You know that’ll be the THIRD TIME!”

Actaully GF I think it was she saw the fear and strsss on his face. And she said this to distract him and lighten his load. Rather than suddenly catching up to what he had said.

You're right. I think she was just using reverse psychology on Jae Ha so he will gain confidence in himself. Hangah knows how to push his buttons and presented this to him as a challenge instead of an insurmountable problem.

That was my take on that scene too.

I love it that HA is not an insecure person even though this is her first love and with a bad boy like JH too. She's sure of his feelings by now and just wanted to give him some motivation and encouragement using reverse psychology.

This was genius. I'd totally buy it.

It would sell even more if Seung Gi one day visited the factory and did something towards producing it. Heh. Even if he only just touched the equipment that'd be good enough for me.

But seriously...I'd buy it regardless. ^^

Taeyeon performing "Missing you like crazy" live:

Watching our OTP in the background made me teary-eyed: what is going to fill the hole in my heart once TK2H is done?! Sure, I may momentarily spazz over other dramas, OTPs, but my heart will forever be with TK2H!!

In my two years of K-drama watching I will tell you I have finished watching only around 15 or so dramas (with Seung-gi's previous 2 incl). I've spazzed over actors, OTPs, left many a K-drama unfinished due to inconsistencies/blotches but have never have THIS visceral effect due to a drama. Case in point: Lee Min ho's good-lookin' and all but I've not finished his 3 dramas....when writing suffers so does my attention-span!!

I'll be THE laughing-stock in my house when this happens but I dread the day Ep 20 will air!! :/

Nor have I re-watch episodes over and over again!! Once you finish 11 and 12; you want to watch them again and again!! Next thing I know, its Tues and I am watching some of my other weeklies as fillers but then before the new episodes come out, I am watching the last two episodes again! This is obsessive!!

When I watched Ep 12 raw I heard and read (his lips) say: "saram".

Since I'm a Speech-Language Pathologist here it goes: at the end of the word his lips come together for the [m] sound. If it were "sarang" his lips would be slightly open for [ng] sound at the end of word. I don't know even know Korean save from the typical K-drama vocab so after I heard the word, googled the meaning, and fist-pumped the air for the fabulosity that is King Jae-ha!

You mean the first time the Queen Mother (technically she's not the queen) saw her on TV when she was crossing the border? That was because she is coming over to get even with Jae Ha who was always being a jerk to her then.

This time she's nervous after getting such bad treatment in SK with the trials and bad public opinion before she went back to NK.

0

Required fields are marked *

I think she's not smiling because she's nervous about something... it's like she and Jae Ha are planning something big (maybe an announcement of something) for the memorial concert.

I really like that she's not smiling lol - makes her so much cooler. It's like she and Jae Ha has some awesome plan ahead :). Totally irrelevant but Ha Ji Won is really the best actress around. She just nails it as a tough woman and a woman in love.

Hi...me again..yes i stalk this page.

i just wanted to say how i love the way Hang Ah said "I’m not going to leave him be—the bastard who made my man this way!” "--- she's known him since he was a spoilt prince, and then a playboy , and now , the reluctant king who , despite all his bluster earlier about how he was too lazy to be a King, had quietly and effortlessly, stepped into the role. She's seen him strong and she's seen him weak.she's even seen him naykid (im taking a guess here, since nothing was shown ergghhhhh) - so to have him quake and doubt himself...she can't bear to see him do that..and I love that her protective instinct kicked in major big time, and she wanted to hurt someone for doing that to her man...And i love that she didn't let him know how mad she is, and how he scared her with his self doubt...And I would totally do the same to the jerk who could do that to MY man. She is so perfect for him. And he is such an adorable sweetheart (no relevance to this post but felt i had to put that in)

Ok , end of spazz. thank you!

JH's wits and HA's badass streak *still has that "feminine" traits tho, remember how sweet she she was, when she said that she's not gonna let anyone mess with her man? awww* are just make them the coolest and greatest combo ever!

We talk 'bt the impending end of this show & our possible & likely cold turkey-withdrawal period butcan you imagine Ha Jiwon ? I hear fr her interview that d reason she portrays her character so well & loves so well in her shows is cos she totally becomes hercharacter & feels all the intense emotions required .So if its full blown love, then she lives it! WOAH! Then ,wdn't she be dreaming of Jaeha's warm hand hold , loving hugs & intoxicating love stares & delicious kisses ?? I can't imagine what she has to go thru to talk herself back to normalcy !! Did you guys know that Koreans are among the top internet users in the world? Especially when everyone is so busy, they just want to watch on the net at their own convenience. And it's always top ranking on searches on daum, nate, etc.
Critics are all praises for the acting. Perfect cast, lush cinematography, great director, and sizzling hot chemistry between the leads. Need I say more?
Add to that the huge international fanbase that the drama has!
Cheer up guys! This is definitely something to be happy about!

Sometimes, people can't follow episodes each week on t.v. K2H is one of those dramas where you really need to watch each episode in order to fully understand what's happening, or else you'll be lost.
Perhaps the large portion of our viewers are the internet suckers like us ;) -- or they're just busy

Thanks for the link. Yup, I too enjoyed reading it especially revolu's piece. I am so glad that TK2H are receiving a lot of love from many people. It stands for HOPE which is so befitting with the moment. I love that people comments are not just drool worthy but they're so detailed and not to mention analyzes things. I'm just HAPPY in the end...

Yes, so WOW. And those articles talk about quality with deep analysis. Actually our discussion here (and many other forums or blogs) can be references because we talk about how good this drama is, in terms of acting, directing, writing, etc.

I have never once doubt Seung Gi's ability. He is one who will give more than 100% in the projects he does even if he is multi-tasking.

I was more worried about the script than his ability, haha... An actor can do a job very well but the script spoilt the whole show. But i'm happy that the storyline has been so far so good.

There are a few reasons why i think he can do it so well. First, he is pairing with a senior whom he likes so much, you will want to impress the other party with your acting. Second, he is not doing 1N2D & Strong Heart, so he can focus 100% on the drama. He multi-task in 2009 for Brilliant Legacy & 2010 for My Girlfriend is a Gumiho before, now he only needs to concentrate on TK2H.

I remember in Strong Heart, he mentioned before that he usually do not call his co-star noona so that when it comes to acting as a senior/peer, it's easier to get into the character.

I don't think he regrets and for Airens who initially were sad about him leaving 1N2D & Strong Heart, i believe they are happy that he gained something from giving up the other 2 projects, and that is the recognition of his acting ability. That is something he can't buy but must be earned. I'm so happy, really happy that he is getting all the praises..

One last thing, i like Seung Gi to be bold when it comes to kissing scene.. I was chatting with some friends and i said that it's so ridiculous when a couple can said they can't live without each other but when they kiss, it's just lip touching lip, hands off each other....pffffff..... just ask any real couple out there and see if they ever do that...hehehe...

Lee Seunggi is definitely one of the most talented out there. While I wasn't particularly taken with his looks when watching Brilliant Legacy, I liked his voice and checked him out. Turns out that he not only sings well, dance well, plays the piano and guitar, acts and comperes too. While I haven't watched many episodes of 2D1N and strong heart (cos I can't find eng subbed episodes. Someone help me here, pls? Think I'll need major filling up on LSG after this ends), whatever I've seen shows him to be really witty with self-deprecating humor, genuine, sincere, humble and chivalrous.

Really started to like this boy who suddenly turned into a MAN in this drama and started doing things to my heart and mind. RARW! He's gonna make a cougar out of me! *shame shame*

Anybody else noticed what a fine silhouette LSG cut in front of the headlights at the proposal scene?

Watching it again after the umpteenth time, I laughed that our JH never forgets he's King. I mean, given any other man, they would have just ran after the girl back at the carousel but our King must be chauffeured to catch his queen.

I love the guy but he really can't dance - he's always getting teased about that (in 1N2D as well as variety shows) and had to really practice very hard for the few dances he's done for his concerts/ songs =). one more... this is really daebak..

this was during his early years.. X-Man...

Cool+Cute+Classic dance from Seung Gi...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H-T3XF4ggks&feature=related

alot of people goes for looks first, so sometimes i do get questions like 'why do you like him'? he is not handsome at all...

when you like him and check out videos of him and watch it, you will fall even deeper in love with him..

He is not a good dancer.. if you ask him to dance on the spot, he is clueless and give funny dance moves...haha...

but he will show you he can dance through practices... this is why we love him so much...

PD Park of Strong Heart also mentioned before that alot of people think that Seung Gi is talented in hosting shows as well, but he said Seung Gi put in alot of time and effort in every recording, doing alot of homework before recording.

0

Yes! That's the vid I saw too and I thot his dancing wasn't bad at all. At the very least he's got rhythm.

And as cheesy as it is, I kinda like his Will You Marry Me "dance" too, hehe! I know I'm not alone in this as the fans in the audience always scream when he does the dance. He looks so cute!

0

Sure he's kinda an average Joe in terms of looks but guy his freakin' stylist isn't helping any with those horrendous hairdos!! Remember his hair during the 'Actress Special' on 1N2D. *shudders* Oh man, I wish I could un-see that vision!! haha. If it were for a role I.GET.IT!! but having to wear that look everyday! It's a good thing that Korean's hair growth is: 10 times (normal hair growth)!! puwahahaa

The first time I ever saw Seunggi was in "My Girlfriend is A Gumiho" where it was totally messy and permed and my first thought was "WTH?!!"

Have to say I love his haircut on K2H though. Suits the role and he looks great in it.

There's something about LSG that gets you. There are times that he looks good; sometimes handsome, sometimes cute, but at other times quite ordinary. The first time I saw him was in 1N2D (a couple of episodes before the actress special). He had that awful hairstyle, and while my daughter was telling me how popular he was, I simply thought that he looked like an ordinary, earnest young man... until I saw his smile! It was in the Gochang episode, where Jongmin and him when to harvest corn. At one time during the show, he gave a smile, and then it dawned on me why everyone likes him. Since then, I've been bowled over. He has personality, charm and grace. Not to mention intelligence. There's more to a person than looks.

In fact, i think that if SK did really have a monarchy, Seunggi absolutely fits the bill for a prince/king!

maybe the age gap is too big, he feels bad if he doesn't address her correctly when they are not filming and others might think he is rude...hehe.

but then, he can call her ji won-ssi but choose to call her noona, which is so much better.. because i heard that you do not call others oppa or noona unless you are really close to them... hohohoho

Seung Gi call people with different suffix, depend on condition :)
For example, in 1n2d he calls Ho Dong as Hyeong, in strong Heart he often calls him Ho Dong-ssi, but in interview he usually mention Ho Dong as Ho Dong sunbae

I think most korean do the same, though :)

I'm one of those people who didn't know or pay attention to LSG until this drama. TK2H is going to win him a TON of new fans. He pretty much proved with this drama that he can handle any role, despite his youthful boyish looks.

@summer:
We (old airen) do sad when he leave entertainment segment, but we understand that he leaves for good, since we know that he want to approach his japan debut and all. What make us sad is, we lost our weekly dosage for seung gi, yunno we usually check him in sunday in 1n2d and tuesday for strong heart, and suddenly there is no more him :( Thus we're very happy when he decide to do drama, means we got our weekly dosage more! But*sigh*there are only 8 episode more :(

@babes:
you can find some video from2010 up to 2012 in Boosaysharingiscaring.com, it's ahboo, she is the only person who record 1n2d that I know. Zozory2000 video is from her too :)
For strong heart, there are some vikisub, but for 21 first episode you can search 'strong heart forum' for any random episode was provided by daebak sub, superjunior sub, sup3rjunior, black jack, depend on who is the guest. Recently kshownow is subbing strong heart too, but I must remind you to not taking link aside from 90 up from there, the link before that episode actually subbed by other subber and KSN make benefit from it, which is not fair for other subber :(

'Them Hands' - LSG 's hands are garnering a sizeable following of fans all by itself . You go to different sites & there's bound to b people talking bt his Hands.
...its masculine & veiny..suddenly we feel the power of thoz hands moving up her back & pulling her close..spreading broadly in a hug...lovingly gliding & covering hers to comfort & reassure...Holding & leading her with him..we even notice when he put it in his pocket to look casual chic...Then ,da da da dam!..When he held her tightly at the waist for a kiss at Everland!! PD must realise the potent effect of d hands cos, when he put one hand down, immediately ,it ws noticed that he wore an engagement ring on his ring finger .
Waah! Them Hands! * Salute* You have a fans!

I've been re-reading the recaps of the earlier episodes (especially 5 and 6) and it strikes me how fast this drama moves. In ep. 5, JH is still the spoilt brat prince and suddenly at the end of ep. 7, he is king. I noticed that LSG has an amazing transformation in terms of his walk and posture - he seems to have a lot more weight in his deportment after becoming king. haha. Love his acting.

It is also really poignant and sad to re-watch the happy moments that JH had with his bro... ...sigh.

that whole proposal scene wasn't original what with the kneeling and all but in this case he did need it... grovel i should say but the writers made it so poignant by those words. satisfied.

weirdly enough but i liked the scene best when they were on the train especially when he spoked with the father. i thought that was touching and a realistic scene than having her cry in front of her father.

sigh, i cant get enough of this two.

I love Hang Ah's father. At first I was a little put off by him because he just looked like a typical slippery politician and a father who does not understand his own daughter. But then when he was mad and sad when Hang Ah was removed from the bride's list, I knew he understands his daughter after all.

Did you notice when Jae Ha took the phone away and spoke to Dad, he immediately stood up? It's like a subconscious thing that he needs to pay respect to the king, even though now he's also his son-in-law. And he said that please don't come to visit as it only means trouble. That's so funny yet so realistic!!! Love it!

omigoshhh!! Hang-ah's abeoji is like the sweetest dad in K-drama Hx for me!! Actually, he's as awesome as the dad in Can You Hear My Heart!! He's soo gruff and all that you just wanna give him a hug despite his gruffness!

0

I agree Marie!! I thought to myself as I replayed the train again & again ..even more than i did d proposal scene.
I asked myself why I ws so fixated wt it. Maybe cos its show a kind of Peace- after- the- storm feeling. We see her at his side as his intended beloved queen /wife to be. A wife of his choice. Him lovingly asking if it "Apaji", cutely snatching the phone & dad's soft 'scolding' & his pleasure at being assured of a visit by his willing son in law, the king nonetheless. Then Jaeha's HAND coming over to reassure her of his support . Sign.

* One of the sweetest words in this episode were: "abeonim". I totally died of the sweet!! The train sequence (Seung-gi lookin' drop dead gorgeous!! --> you know had to mention it since I'm shallow like that!!) and the transition to him being hand-in-hand with HA and mum's sweet welcome!! spazz-worthy sweet!

* During the train sequence when he told the father that since he's the King he had to follow the SK'ean traditions: I totally aww'ed since Jae-ha's come such a LONGGG way! In Ep 7 he told HA that he couldn't stand when even she called him "Your Highness!" and here in Ep 12 = *sniff sniff*

Frankly Jae-ha's growth from the lackadaisical guy who looked on North Koreans with disdain deserves another post!! Guy, I still laugh at his introductory scene wherein he'd broken the window so that he could breathe ---> seems like such a distant memory!! How our boy has grown! actually the password was "saram" in korean which means "people". But the sound is a little similar to "sarang" in korean which means love. I guess the sound of "m" got confused with the sound of "ng". Hence, the mix up :)

I love the proposal scene!

I don't know why this is happening to me but I just realised that a lot of the proposal scenes I've watched in k-dramas didn't connect to me like the one Jae Ha did. I usually find them super cheesy and I just can't see enough sparks flying around the couple and make me squeal 'Awww so romantic I want to be THAT girl so badly'. Sometimes the proposals were romantic for one minute and that was it for me. But maybe this is just ME lol.

Having said that, I just love this proposal scene so much that I can spazz about it all day long. It's like the PD deliberately gave Jae Ha and Hang Ah time and space to confront their feelings for each other, which they haven't been able to do so throughout the first 11 episodes. Every sentence Jae Ha uttered was like a statement of promise that really matters to Hang Ah and to him. I just love the way he wiped away her tears and then lightly touched her face as he kept confirming his love for her. He spoke with such confidence and expression of determination on his face that is rarely seen in k-drama. It's like Jae Ha really took his time to think, to reflect, then look at her, and say the things he genuinely mean deep down in his heart. It's also symbolic of him finally changing into someone willing to take responsibility as a king and a man for Hang Ah.

Gah i'm so in love with K2H that I STILL can't get over how the writers even come up with the idea of K2H. I was so scared in the beginning that it was going to turn out like the other NK/SK movies and dramas that just doesn't have enough meat in it and it's all floppy and doesn't add up from beginning to end. THANK GOD it's all holding up. I originally thought that if Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won is in it then it can't be that bad, but seriously, sometimes the story can just spirals down a dark tunnel and it just becomes a disaster.

Having said that the show just keeps getting better and better and I reckon episode 12 is really the best episode by far. Despite the rating I am so glad they didn't change the storyline or make up new conflicts which could be really dangerous. I'm also happy MBC's willing to put money into the settings, costumes etc because without those, the drama will lack its regal and realistic effect.

@A and @gitamessi,

At first I could not believe my luck. Of course I know LSG and HJW would not just sign up with any project and I like the PD's previous dramas - they are definitely not your usual Kdrama fare. But I was not familiar with the main writer. So it's a great relief to watch the glorious first few episodes.

Then my anxiety kicked in. I was afraid the political situations, the ratings pressure, whatever, would force the production to take a different, easier route. Before each episode I was really nervous. But as you know, the show just kept outdoing itself.

When the WOC march ended, I thought nothing could beat that now. Wrong! When the press conference and the fridge kiss aired, I thought this is it - the epitome of black comedy/political drama. Wrong again! When Jae Ha stared at Jae Kang's portrait and said you happy now, oh my god, I asked myself how could it get any better.

And so on and so on...

Gosh, this is a drama that could, and can. Love you, TK2H.

LOL OMG what you said is so right - everything they're doing, it's also out of what ordinary k-dramas would do. Maybe that's why Korean people don't like it? Because it's so UNIQUE. It reminds me of US dramas sometimes because it's has a little bit of everything.

It's so risky - yet they're acing it :D

A and AnnMichelle,

I agree with every single word you guys have said.
I was so disappointed with myung-wol the spy i didn't want another repeat.
I'm just going to say that this is one of the most sucessful north/south combo in terms of execution.
SERIOUSLY, it was so touching the way he wiped those tears with his manly hands and just said everything with so much sincerity and determination(Yay, remember when our prince said he didn't feel a single thing just holding her hand? Ah, the ol days.)
I am SO happy they didn't change much after ratings plummeted. Have faith, cause surely there's so many international fans.
Seriously though, alot of dramas start off strong and then fizzle towards the end, but i can say being in the halfway mark, it just gets BETTER and BETTER. How does this happen?
Every episode brings with it even more.
There is so much effort and beauty with this drama, i'm just glad that they work so hard to continue bringing their A-game.
I think we are also in love with K2h because it is just so different! I think we love the idea of different, yet, able to instill such powerful emotions in us.
North/South probably isn't a premise the koreans want to deal with.. but.. i mean, we love it.

This episode is so awesome. Hang Ah's (and her fellow WOC team) mission to rescue Jae Ha. Jae Ha's words to bong gu when he was under threatened. Jae Ha's proposal to Hang Ah. Si Kyung's thought about Jae Shin's words. Jae Ha's package to bonggu ( is the password love or people? Because in dramafever is love and in viki is people. I'm confused). Jae Ha's mission to seduce (one of the) bonggu girlfriend(s) (He's sooooo seducing there. I'm not kidding!). Don't you guys think maybe bonggu is in love with Jae Ha? LOL. I don't watch K-Drama that much. I usually watch one drama per year. However, I found that K2H is really interesting. It's already at episode 12 and still really good. I hope it will be good until the finale. I lost my interest to You're Beautiful/She's Beautiful at around ep. 10. I really hope K2H won't do that to me. K2H has been a roller coaster ride for me. One moment I cried. After that, I could laugh until my stomach hurts. I cannot wait for next week episodes! :D

I love that this show has such a smart, witty, strong and cool-headed female lead. It's been long since I have seen such a character in k-dramas. She makes me absolutely proud! I hate that k-dramas generally go with loud, foul-mouthed, irrational women who like to beat up their men for no reason as example of strong women (or at least as an anti-thesis to weak women) not realizing just how weak those characters themselves are. You don't have to be able to scream at the top of your lungs to be strong. Sometimes, the most quiet people can be the strongest (Not that Hang Ah is quiet, but I love that she is not irrational).

PS: Who else thinks it was Hang Ah who sent the box to Bong gu?

I don't like frivolous prayers but geez, just this once, I'm praying that (until the very last hour, minute, second, nano second) this show continues on this awesome trajectory—because if not, my disappointment will be just too great…

I'm simply too (emotionally) invested…!!!!!!

Amen for that!!
but considering that the writer had finished the 16th episode script (why I'm so happy?), and the shoot seem already going for 17th episode -rumour said so- I hope it's a sign that this drama is in full force in order to not let us down!

and AMEN for that!

Holy crap, the staff and actors are ON IT with this drama.
I love to see a drama way ahead of the schedule.
Makes me less nervous about them trying to rush filming just cause they gotta make the deadline.
But this also means they'll be finished filming way before the drama finishes airing.. I want ji won & seung gi to spend alot of time together. LOL is that wrong?

You're not the only one who's been reduced to fervently praying for the drama, actors, etc! I feel like an omma who really wants my child to do well....and, I'm just a fan!! sheeshh. I await for the new episode all anxious and then when I watch it am like, "ok, you did good!!" Hope the next one keeps the fervor going...and, it's a vicious circle!! *headdesk*

Am I the only one who likes that they lay the foundation in the odd-numbered episode and kill it in the even-numbered episode?! Show, please continue to be awesome and/or awesomer!!

Yes, I realize that one too.
In my own midway review (sorta promoting my blog here, tehee~hope no one hate me for this), I write that the production team make this drama as 'weekly topic', like how week 1 is the introduction, week2 is south-north background, week 3 is about love?(in question mark), there is strong emotional connection for each pair episode. And I love how they make it, very much!

@Saima, I know what you mean…hehe!

More often than not, I start to lose interest in KDramas during the second half; but so far so good—I'm happy the second half of TK2H started off on an awesome note!!!

Borrowing your line: "Show, please continue to be awesome and/or awesomer!!"

After thinking about ALL the things i liked about this drama, i finally realized there was one thing about it that brings out that kid in me.

I LOVE how they're all dressed in royal finery.
Alot of times, we don't get to see the whole King/Queen/Prince/Princess palace theme.
I remember that i loved goong because everything felt like a dream.. a fairytale. With their beautiful outfits, and their wonderful palace.
I bet we all feel like we're watching fairytales come true.. and sometimes, it's not always all rainbows and butterflies, (which really adds depth to this drama.)

There's a kid in me that loves to see good prevail over evil..
I think that's why i LOVED city hunter.
And now why i LOVE K2H.
The baddies fighting the good, the good fighting the baddies.. Such a premise couldn't be better for me.. And then you throw in good acting, wonderful chemistry, beautiful scenes, Excellent writing, and this list can go on and on but i'll stop here, you guys know what i mean.

So really, it can't get any better when you put in a Fairytale combined with Good v Evil and then all those elements...
I am the happiest person right now.
And seriously, when this drama ends, i don't know what i'll do with my life. LOL

On dramafever the translation was "love." However if you clearly listen to what Bongu uttered, he said "saram" with m at the end. And plus, I do have faith on GF tranlation. I even googled the word saram: people, human, person. Plus, "saram" fits perfectly to his riddle.

0

Required fields are marked *

Most people accept the password as people, I am just wondering if it is possible to be Human-being? Could Saram be humanbeing? Is Jea Ha trying to say I am a human-being but you are not. In fact, a lot of views doesn't think Pong Gu is an ordinary person, but a changed one.

In fact I was thinking that too. Just as a human being. Or humanity.

Bong Gu has lost his a long time ago (I am sure pretty he was born as a human!). He is now a bloodless corporation, or a heartless murderer.

But I don't know the Korean language. So I don't know if that word can be interpreted that way.

I don't know Korean neither, but based on the translation to people, I guess it could have that kind of meaning, maybe.

0

Required fields are marked *

I have to agree with Joy. What Bong Gu wants more than anything is to have control over people, aka Power. Bong Gu has all the money in the world to make the entire globe do his bidding, (and the King really doesn't have money) so what is the one thing that a modern king that a rich man doesn't really have to have any political strength? The support of the PEOPLE. People make or break a King. The problem with saying that BG lacks "sarang" is that Bong Gu never wanted love in the first place. "I AM KING" was his obsession from day one, not the love of any person (I guess you could argue his father, but that does not connect Jae Ha and BG.) Currently only "saram" truly stands in his way (ergo, BG's inferiority complex.)

IMO... it's "Saram."

LOL So I wasn't listening very closely and I am korean and speak the language. After reading the recap I decided to rewatch the ending and yes he does say people XD

I'm going to agree with anonymous up there. I think it means a wide variety of things IMO, support and people around him that love him.

How many of us fall in love with how this drama write the family? The royal family, and Hang Ah's father? (excluding our earnest bot and his father). I love despite the tension and the political background of this drama, the writer still shower us with kind of family love, and let alone those typical kdramaland mother or father in law. This might be one reason for me to love TK2H the most, I'm a sucker for family love.

I love that our queen mother is so supportive with hang Ah, and despite she know that her son is the one 'seem most troubled' with the miscarriage issue, she never forget her stance as a woman and as a mother, and also feel hurt about the miscarriage. And how much i love her way to show Hang Ah that she cares with food? Not with some grand action like sending giant flower bouquet, but The food symbolizing personal cares and deep thought.

And how much I love Hang Ah's father to interfering his daughter life, worrying her love life, but still leave all the choice to his daughter hand? I'm so touched with his bow in episode 7, the bow portraying how he left his daughter in other's hand and he wishes that they'll treat her well. I shall stop here, or this page will entirely about family love

And about the 3 step natural skin care: http://www.lsgairenint.tumblr.com/post/22024233472/hang-ahs-natural-3-step-skincare-project-i-love
cr: missannuhmae (someone else had posted here, but I forgot where)

I'm so touched with this grand gesture, not only because you need to use it for daily use, but I think there is great philosophical meaning on it. It just my opinion, but I think somehow related with it. By being in love it doesn't mean you'll always happy, you'll hurt someday, somewhere, thus the word sorry is needed. By being in love, sometimes we forgot for grateful because we are so used to be. And sometimes we forgot that we are in love. And overall... By the name of love it self, isn't that describing the act of forgiving, grateful and love it self? :)

Just my two cents. I stumbled with many more philosophical meaning in this drama

What is so unique about the JH and HA relationship is that

1) there is never any pink glasses - in fact they saw each other as who they really were: our heroine asking the hero for cosmetics (!), our hero breaking down like a child in front of the heroine, etc. etc.

2) the bubble of romantic love bursts long BEFORE the proposal - talking about the cold, hard reality, and this couple has had it so early and so overwhelmingly. Thus when they finally overcame all and declared their love, it only made it sweeter, and, well, more romantic!

3) no frivolous / nonsense obstacles such as an insanely obsessive No. 3; what they had to deal with was the humongous gap between the North and the South - epic is the right word to describe it.

But then the affection shows in the smallest details - how he remembers everything she ever says, how she picks up every emotional cues from him and provides support or gives a kick on the butt (whichever works!).

These writers, The-not-so-famous Hong Sisters (to not get confused with the other very famous Hong Sisters of MGIG) are very well known in writing such lovely interpersonal characters in their dramas. If you watch Beethoven Virus you'll find the supporting characters had their own little warm stories and all were very well written too.

AIREN. Its a Mandarin Chinese word that means, Lover, the one I love( It cant be used for family cos its meant for a love interest). Could be a chinese name too cos as a chinese , we have names with meaning. My daughter's name is Aiping which means Love Peace .Another girl whose name means Love Wisdom . So you cd say I'm very into Love!

Plus, I don't know if you know already, but a previous commenter talked about how one of the supporting (UN Officer) actors commented ON DB in Episode 11! We sent our messages to K2H through him, and hopefully they found out about the insane response right on this site! Who knows, HJW and LSG may have already seen the site! (I know, my hopes are a little bit into the stratosphere :P)

and about the international fan project video, if you guys have the video link, please spread it to the actors of tk2h via twitter, me2day, weibo, etc.

i already did, via twitter, and the actor who play Dong Ha has said "ok" to open the video link.

i'm a fan of Ha Ji Won, sometimes i sent her support messages via twitter, i know she doesn't update often, but i'm sure she at least check the mentions for her,

cuz in her win-win interview she said that she checks her name everyday on this internet world. and i think may be most people who work in this entertainment industry do the same, hehe i hope so :D

Errr.... how do you become an airen? can ahjummas be an airen too? hehehe ! this is PURELY out of professional admiration for Seung Gi 's acting talent OF COURSE!!nothing to do with his swoonworthy hands or his cuteness or what- its all his acting...(you believe me dontcha?) Actually, he has such wide range of acting- he was the jerk you wanted to kick for being an a&& to Hang Ah, he was the brother you wanted to hug, he was the fool you won't trust with a soft toy much less a country, he was the man who had to swallow his grief yet conveyed to us how much grief he was under, he was the man who stepped up as King and into his brother's throne, he was the adorable pleading nephew, and the naughty son who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar, and the man who is totally is besotted with Hang Ah..and we are the helpless fans who got swept away ...

er..back to the drama..intellectually i admire this drama..for making the brave decision to tackle what cant be a sugary topic ...and for making the relationships real..even the bromance..and now for Shi Kyng and Princess to get it on, doesnt he realise what she feels for him? and vice versa?? and i love the parents...they're so resigned to their kids being their kids..but support them nonetheless...I watched Rooftop Prince last night and it was fun, but its apples and oranges ,no comparison.. This drama is not a Kdrama...because for once the guy is too scared of the girl to grab her wrist and kiss her forcefully (I hate forced kisses) - i mean, for once, the couple respect each other...and thats what real life couples do..

the end ......sorry for the loong rant....
