I was thinking this myself. Ghost in the shell sort of scenario(s). Still, that first one did look an awful like either the set beside him was on fire and he was getting some residual smoke, or he was turning into a ghost. Perhaps the hidden meaning is…he IS the Ghost in the Machine!

lol @ the commentary. I agree that the posters aren’t very appealing (a bit of a yawn-fest really). They could have made it look more digitized with an awesome computer graphic background to play up the ‘ghost’ theme.

It’s an anime, consisting of several films and a TV series. I’ve see only the first film, but it was fabulous. (I will watch the rest in the future).

i agree about So Ji Sub, i know the guy can act but sometimes i feel he got lazy and too comfortable with his acting/work. I had hope that he would change something with this drama but from the looks of it i don’t think so.
He has a type! He has never acted in anything that was not dark in nature. If he has, let me know because I’ve seen just about everything! This will probably be (I hope) his most un-dark drama ever!
In “We Are Dating Now” (2002) he played a good, innocent guy. Nothing dark about the character

He looked pretty vacant in Sorry I Love You but I thought it was because of the bullet in his head. He looked REALLY vacant in Cain and Abel but I thought it was because he had amnesia. I’m optimistic I’ll find a way to explain his vacancy (LOL) here.

I don’t think SJS can act. And he hasn’t improved with the years at all. But I love to look at his face because it is sort of flawless you know.
You right, maybe its not the acting. Maybe we just like to look but if you have not seen his movies, they too are dark but very, very good!

Well, they all look very SERIOUS but still very pretty. For eye candy alone it’s worth looking at. But I’m not sure I want to invest hours in this drama. But Eom Ki Joon is in it, and I adore him. So I’ll probably at least check it out.
Me too! I am not usually gushy, but Eom Ki Joon is so, so talented. It is a crying shame that he doesn’t get the lead roles (though he makes every role compelling).

I still can’t get past the fact that I really did not like his character in Bali. But if he’s super cool and the writing is as good as it was in signs… I’m all for it. I don’t remember what this series is about… but if it’s about solving crimes, I love that. SJS looks really fine here.

But I am not excited for the drama since Lee Yeon Hee is pretty and cannot act.I hope that the lovely people on this thread can change my mind because other than Queen In-Hyun Man my wed/thurs is looking pretty empty. I don’t know if I will either like Time Slip Dr. Jin or Bridal Mask too.They all look so serious and tragic. And it doesn’t help that only one show has 2 main strong actors.The rest it’s all secondary.Counting on the dramabeans family to show me the light.

So Ji-sub needs a new agent/agency, stat. Just because you have eyes that look ready to cry in any second does not mean you cannot do light-hearted dramas.
I think the posters represent the makers’ honesty: we give you an hour of So Ji Sub, twice a week. Are you in? And then I say: of course I am! As I already wrote somewhere – if you ask me, he can just play an accountant at work, I don’t mind.
I actually like that the poster shows one of the drama’s best assets (I hope SJS doesn’t screw this up:P) without trying hard to come up with some unnecessary fireworks.
It doesn’t matter how boring the poster is, I like the cast of this drama and even if I didn’t SJS looking this good in a suit would get me to watch it – I have actually finished Cain and Abel, that is my level of love for SJS
