I know, there seems to be a TON of promo material about Big and maybe it’s veering on overload, and maybe I just want to see the damn show already instead of getting more stills. But then again, it’s not like I’m going to just NOT post them, am I? So here we go….
Posted above is the new character poster, featuring our Big star (hur hur—so many Big jokes, so little time) Gong Yoo in the center. Flanking him are his dual love interests, Lee Min-jung on the left as his grown-up fiancée, and Suzy as the teenager his body-hijacker loves.
Speaking of whom, Shin Won-ho is at right, as the 18-year-old soul that gets stuck in the Big body. (He’s a new face from Bachelor Vegetable Store and has been recently called a Song Joong-ki doppelganger, though I think he’s more like a cross between Song Joong-ki and L.) And at far left is Jang Hee-jin, who has never played a character I have liked (Myung-wol the Spy, What’s Up). I’m pretty sure it’s because of her, not her roles, but I’m willing to give her another shot in the midst of such winning castmates.
Then, above we have a couple of new stills of Gong Yoo, which basically reiterates the main sight gag and entire point of this show: Adult hottie playing the juvenile is both hot and adorable.
I mean, that’s essentially the point of all the character stills below, right? There are a few where Gong Yoo is dressed and posing as a normal-looking adult man (well, incredibly GOOD-looking, but normal), and then there are the rest that show him acting like a puppy-boy. He’s wearing a three-piece suit and hugging a Gundam action figure? Gah, that kills me. It’s like I’m all primed to bust a gut laughing, and I just need the actual show to push me over the edge. Make me laugh, Big! I’m all ready t’rip!
Big premieres in just over a week, on June 4.

I don’t know… but I can’t seem to like Lee Min-jung. There’s something about her acting that doesn’t really connect with the character that she portrays. She reminds me of Yoona’s acting. Bland.

FINALLY! I was wondering who was gonna play the young counterpart to the soul swap. The promos were placing so much emphasis on the LMJ, GY and Suzy I completely forgot about the other guy. They should show him in a suit or Dr. outfit. SOMETHING. Patiently waiting.

I love that Suzy still looks healthy, and not emaciated like most young female idols tend to be. She’s still really skinny by most people’s standards, but she looks alive and not like a skeleton.

why is teenage girlfriend looks mature but teenage boyfriend in Gong yoo’s body seems childish? Even the ACTUAL teenager guy seems to behaving decently in the picture. That’s character inconsistency there. Hopefully it’s just for photoshoot. In the drama, i hope the inner characteristic transcends its physical shell more credulously.

They went a little overboard with the whole kid analogy. In the original Big, the movie, the adult did body swap was with an actual kid who was something like 12yrs old so actually somebody who could still play with action figures. Still cute though. Anything Gong Yoo does is cute.

Jang Hee-jin has me a bit worried, though, as I’m wondering what role she’ll play – I’m hoping against hope that Dr Gong Yoo isn’t having an affair with her, though I suppose that does mean it would then be “okay” (as far as drama rules go) for Lee Min-jung to fall in love with another man- er, boy.
