Arang and the Magistrate airs intro special this week

The premiere of Arang and the Magistrate is still a week away, but if you want to whet your appetite for the comedic, whimsical, ghost-human romance fusion sageuk, you’re in luck: the drama is showing a preliminary special broadcast this week to introduce the show.
They’re saying that it’s the first time a drama has trotted out a pre-premiere special of this kind since the highly anticipated epic fusion drama Legend four years ago… which seems strange to me, but I suppose must be true. Well, if you’re leaving out little cable shows like Answer Me 1997, that is, which had an “Episode 0” before launching its series. But they’re framing this as a big broadcast event, so commence fanfare and hype. A rep from broadcaster MBC stated that they decided to go with the special after seeing the strength of fan/netizen response every time a new wave of information was released by the show. Can’t argue with that. Lee Jun-ki has been away for three years. People need their fan fix, y’know.
Let’s just cross our fingers that the show delivers on its promise. Because Lee Jun-ki can be hilarious with his sharp comic timing (especially when he remembers not to overdo it) and Shin Mina has already shown us she’s adorable and feisty in supernatural heroine roles. The story takes a well-known folk tale and makes it something new with a zippy, quirky tone. And I’m just ready to love the show, if only it’s good. Please don’t suck!
The introductory special will air on Wednesday, August 8. Episode 1 airs next week on August 15.

I like this poster better than the first one they released. In the first one Shin Min Ah looked angelic, and I was like "Guys, I think you're doing it wrong". But this one feels right, ahaha.

I was excited to the 9th cloud eversince they showed the ad of this program yesterday ^^ kekeke, and yes, if you go to it's official website on imbc, you'll see how eager fans can be, even overseas fans! And I love how MBC Consider us as overseas fans with provides 4 languages on their official A&M site♡
The most anticipated and must watch drama is only 6 days to go!

I was an extra for one of the early episodes, not sure which - but one thing I can say is that Lee Junki is really cute in person~ <3

And you have to know that the end won't eb a happy one since she already is dead, so the romance is also dead.
Unless LJK's character dies at the end to be together with SHM's character lol

To early to judge the romance is dead (i mean with LJG himself ever said there would be more romance here than his older works) and from what i have seen on both 1st&2nd teaser, their chemistry is just too adorable to resist, that's so cute and lovely scene for humanghost couple, and I am sure enough the writer won't make Eunoh Character would be death at the end.
Well, let the story begins and see... (I am sure would be a huge HIT!)

Iljimae and Gumiho, what a lovely pair. I'm pretty sure I'm going to watch it till the end. I just love cute ghost like Casper. The last one I've seen about ghost was that latest drama of Park Shin Hye, Dont Worry, I'm a Ghost. Too bad it was just one episode, it could be a very good 16 episode drama.

you watch 'Dont Worry, I'm a ghost' too? it's a very good drama. the way they reveal things bit by bit, it's like we are in the male lead's shoes, discovering everything every step of the way. there's not a moment when we, as the viewer know more than the male lead. and the moment he realize the big mystery, my heart drop the way his did. it's a sad story..
