Really, the only reason why I forced myself to watch Kyungtak’s death was because of that scene where Younghwi holds him and cries. It’s so touching <3

It's pretty much one of the few good scenes in this drama, imo. Kyungtak's suicide scene too. Youngrae was crying and telling him to kill her instead, and I (and Kyungtak) was like "Gurl, he's the one that wants to die, why are you telling him to kill you instead of convincing him not to die?" .____.

You know what was one of the worst medical mistakes they made?

Jin Hyuk trying to revive Mina with a defibrillator.

I quote from Cracked.com:
Basically, what the defibrillator machines can do is help a patient regain a regular heart rhythm when they go into cardiac arrest, which it does by stopping their heart. Hopefully, it restarts with a normal rhythm. If the patient is already flat-lining, meaning their heart has already stopped beating, using the defibrillator to stop it some more will do about as much good as removing a malignant brain tumor with a shotgun blast.

Which basically means Hyuk wasn’t reviving Mina; he was killing her.

Ugh. I hate the fact that Kyungtak died for idiot-Hyuk and idiot-Mina and died saying he still loved her. Live for yourself, Kyungtak! If not, live for Younghwi!
Only the scene where Younghwi hugged Kyungtak’s dead body made me cry… Curse you, Dr Jin scriptwriters. Curse you. T^T

I wish there was a scene during the battle where Younghwi gets all worried and prays/wishes for Kyungtak to come back safely so they can live peacefully (together, hopefully) after the war. And then it cuts to Kyungtak vowing to win the war, so he can return to Younghwi as an ally, not an enemy. Oh, and take out that assassination attempt. Younghwi wielding his sword at Kyungtak right before his death is a no-no in my books.

It’s been about 6 months of trying to finish this drama and today I finally gave up. I kept thinking, “don’t worry, when they get to the brain fetus explanations it’ll get good”. I got tired of waiting.

Thanks for all the recaps. Saved me the trouble of suffering through the drama to get an explanation.

These reviews seriously saved me from watching the episodes fully! Thanks! The only reason I even watch these episodes on some parts is only because Kyuntak and Younghwi’s bromance! Seriously the only and best parts of the drama. Jaejoong seriously did such a great job in this drama and better than I ever expected.. and if this stupid drama wasn’t time traveled and set in the Joseon time, I’m sure Younghwi would of revealed that he was gay and stole Kyuntak from his stupid sister and Kyuntak would realize his feelings and not focus on such a stupid girl that only chooses to be selfish and doesn’t even care about the mother..

Well, speaking of mother, that character just disappeared after Youngrae decided to be a full-fledged doctor. We can assume that she had the knowledge, but If the Dae Jang Geum drama was correct historically, then don’t they have a process of schooling and medical exams before becoming a doctor overnight?!! This drama needs to recheck on historical details on doctors back then and not just major facts that they decide to blow up a whole drama on and in the end, hardly even changed..

The only thing that changed?? Jin’s girlfriend’s life and a few characters disappearing. Yup, that’s about it. Just forget about our lovely bromance, Kyuntak and Younghwi…since Kyuntak died anyway =[[ … I’m just so freakin sad that Younghwi obviously loves Kyuntak the most, yet Kyuntak chooses Youngrae who ignores him and rejects him over death and slavery, and his father who would use him til the end (but redeems..) UGHHHH I”M SO MAD AT THIS DRAMA AND I SWEAR I WOULD NOT HAVE WASTED MY TIME IF IT WASN’T OF KYUNTAK AND YOUNGHWI…….I SWEAR!! AHHHH
