Giveaway hootenanny: CDs and OSTs!

It’s a giveaway! It’s a hootenanny! It’s a giveaway hootenanny!

Here’s the shortened version of how this giveaway came to be: gummimochi says, “Hey, I have this CD I want to give away to fans to celebrate my anniversary with Dramabeans,” and we says, “That’s a great idea, let’s steal it and give away LOTS of stuff, because as we know, more is always better!”

So we’re giving away OSTs, one from each of us, just to say thanks for being you, and for sharing our neverending love of all things kdrama.

Rules:

Leave a comment here (with your real email address!), explaining why you’d like to win the CD of your choice. Maybe this was your favorite drama EVAR, or maybe you really want that disc to use for dart practice. Whatever floats your boat. You may enter for any or all of the CDs (separate comment per entry, please), but be sure to specify which particular one you are addressing.

Note that winners will NOT be picked in a random selection; each of us will choose one winner, to be announced next week. Meet back here on Sunday, August 12, for results!

SHINee’s “Sherlock”

gummimochi:

This time one year ago, I could never have imagined that I would be able to share my everlasting love for variety, drama, and pop music to a beautiful you. Putting all those together, I’ve chosen SHINee’s new mini-album, “Sherlock.”

Min-ho will be headlining the upcoming drama, To the Beautiful You, where he needs to be clued in that a he might be a she. Not like it takes Sherlock Holmes-esque detective skills to figure that out though, but hey – this is kdrama-land.

You’ve Fallen For Me OST

kaedejun:

Time flies when you’re having fun! It feels like yesterday when I wrote my first recap, and I can still remember that experience. 12 recaps and 2 years later, I’m still living through that experience – which I’ll never forget – thanks to Dramabeans, where discussion, fan-girling (or fan-guying), and sharing flow through like streams of consciousness during the lazy days of summer. Speaking of summer – this is why I’ve chosen the You’ve Fallen For Me OST. Its OST makes me think of sunshine, happiness, sunflowers, and daisies. Really. And it features CN Blue’s Jung Yong-hwa and Kang Min-hyuk, which is one of my few favorite bands (second to the almighty Big Bang). So I hope you enjoy it as much as I have, and live this summer out as carefree and happily as the students of You’ve Fallen For Me. I’ll see you at the beach!

Chuno OST

HeadsNo2:

This is a soundtrack near and dear to my heart, not only because Chuno will always remain one of my all time favorite dramas, but because it also represents one of my favorite aspects of dramas and Dramabeans – the ability to bring people together. By melding history with modern sensibilities, it’s a drama that broke ground and appealed to a mass audience, whether they were seasoned sageuk lovers or complete newbies to the genre. No matter what our favorite genre is, we all look for stories with the ability to move us, to transport us to another world, to be thought-provoking, to give us a reason to want to gather and share our thoughts, our experiences, and our love of community. One hundred posts later, I’ve definitely come to treasure the discussion that happens here and all the wonderful insights I’ve learned from our time together, and hope you can enjoy a soundtrack that moved and inspired me as much as I did, if not more. Oh, and ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥.

Shut Up: Flower Boy Band OST

javabeans:

There are a lot of reasons for me to single out Shut Up: Flower Boy Band, like the fact that it remains, more than halfway through 2012, the drama that touched my heart the most this year. Other dramas had the big twists, the high drama, the epic conflicts, and the quirky high concepts—but Shut Up, despite its small world and small stories, had for me the sincerest connection with emotion and angst. The people felt real and the drama was fueled by that pounding, aching, fluttering and sometimes raging heart that drove its characters.

But you know what? All that aside, Shut Up: Flower Boy Band had awesome music. It had the deftest way of working its music into the plot, effectively making its soundtrack a running storyline like it was a character of its own. So there.

The King 2 Hearts OST

girlfriday:

An epic drama that managed to steal my heart in an epic way. The King 2 Hearts swept me up in its tense action, side-splitting comedy and sweet romance at every turn, and the score played a big part in keeping me enraptured in that world. It’s also a drama that reminded me of the fervor of fandom — you guys made the crazy train fun (also crazy), and I was happy to come along for the ride. This OST probably marks those few months in time — the OMG WHAT HAPPENS NEXT crack addiction — as much as the drama itself. Here’s to love in the DMZ, and sharing good dramas with friends from around the globe. Cheers.

The king 2 hearts please :)

The king 2 hearts has been such as an awesome drama for me this year .Ever since tk2h ended I have not been able to enjoy any other dramas and have become such a hardcore fan of my lee seung gi that its now become a routine for me to check his fan site everyday to know about his whereabouts .

The other reason is the soundtrack itself .The ost is so mesmerising and each time i listen TO those ost I get butterflies in my tummy and cant help but feel the love and pain of king jaeha and queen hangah..... I didn't usually liked listening to just the instrument with no vocals but ever since hanga's dream ,sad sky and ave maria(piano scene ) I have fallen in love with classical music (piano especially therefore i've even planned to start learning piano from this sept)

Therefore The King 2 hearts jjang :)

The Kings two hearts

I absolutely adored this drama. This reminded me how good of an actor Lee seung gi is; I was with him all the way in his rise to be the King he turned out to be. Loved the dynamics of the two leads and how Ha Jiwon wasn’t a damsel in distress but a woman who indeed saved her man’s ass. But underneath it all she was again just a normal girl. I absolutely loved Ha Ji won and her dad’s relationship. Bromance was another big thing for me-the link between the two brothers, the north and south comrades and ofcourse the bromance between Lee Seung gi and Eun Shi-kyung. And how can I forget the princess in all of this. I liked how they portrayed the three siblings’ chemistry. I laughed and cried (I mean wept like a baby) with these characters and was sad when the drama ended. Nonetheless I was satisfied with the whole series. I can go on and on about how awesome all the actors were in this drama—it’s one of those dramas where everyone was equally good so couldn’t find a fault in anyone of them. This drama holds a special place in my heart.

The OST in this drama is so good that whenever I listen to it, hearing taeyeon’s ‘Missing you like crazy’ and K will’s ‘Crying love’ makes my eye well up- it tugs in your heartstrings. It blended beautifully with the drama and added to make every scene even more poignant.

I loved everything about this drama. I can never tire of the OST of this drama-love everything about it.

I would LOVE to win the You've Fallen For Me Ost; It has been awhile since the drama aired but I still find myself going back to it often. Sometimes I will just go to youtube or rematch the scenes that has the performances and songs; I love the story, started to like the actors, and love the performances and soundtrack for this drama. I wish the leads will pair up more often! ::Fingers Crossed:: to winning this ost.

Shut Up: Flower Boy Band OST is the one I would love to have.
Where do I start: Lee Min-Ki, Lee Min-Ki, Lee Min-Ki! Lee Min-Ki singing Not in Love was epic. It was one of my favorite songs as a teenager! The music from the drama just brought back so many memories as a teen, just becoming aware of things around me. And my first crush! Loved the show, loved the music and would love to have the CD.

Shut Up: Flower Boy Band OST

This is THE drama of the year for me: 1) it's got the best storyline about high school students and their struggles in achieving their dream and the director done a fantastic job in portraying these in the most possible and realistic way, 2) a heroine that is different from other k-dramas, 3) LEE MIN KI as the cameo and 4) best osts I ever heard in a while.

The songs are my kind of thing as I'm into alternative and pop rock. The music is haunting and the vocals are amazing. Gotta say thank you to Javabeans for writing the recap and made me fall in love with the drama straight away.

You've Fallen For Me OST ^^

Even though it is not the best drama around, You've Fallen For Me is very very dear to my heart. Normally, fluffy dramas like this are easily forgotten, but it's the experience that makes it so memorable to me. It was the first drama ever that I watched while airing. Before this drama, I was used to having the next episode available for me after I'm done watching an episode. But for Heartstrings, I teared my hair out having to wait a week or 1 more day just to get to see the next episode, raging and raging for Wed/Thurs to come faster. I pretty much spent the time in-between episodes in a daze wondering what's going to happen next, counting minutes, seconds, spazzing with other Hearties in a thread, haunting everywhere for spoilers, listening to the OST's, etc. I basically had no life, but it was crazy fun. The first time that a drama made me go crazy.

This drama made that summer one of the most fun summers I've ever had. Having to wake up early just to watch the live stream even though I don't understand Korean... it sounds silly, I know. Looking back from now, it was such an enjoyable ride. I think that having the OST as a souvenir of that memorable experience would be a pleasure ^^

Anywayz sorry for my rambling... there was just many things I wanted to say and I couldn't leave anything out.

Well. First off, I would like to thank the Dramabeans staff for giving us this great opportunity. I love doing these every time. It really is a pleasure writing these contests while not winning anything. It's quite fun. :). In this contest I would really love girlfriday's CD: The King 2 Hearts. This was my drama of the year; maybe my life. This was the most epic drama that was ever made however some might not agree with me. I would follow all the previews, go on numerous sites for spoilers and every week follow girlfriday's post to read her amazing recaps that would be there every Wednesday and Thursday. Lee Seung Gi and Ha Ji Won made the most perfect on-screen couple and they made themselves look like a real couple even though they had their age difference. As for the OST: I had tried numerous times to buy myself a copy of the CD, and in the end I recieved one song from the OST: Missing You Like Crazy by Taeyeon. And I was happy with that. However, this made me really excited and I wanted this more than ever. So I once again want to thank Girlfriday for giving me a chance to win and the other Dramabeans staff: Javabeans, Gummimochi, Kaedejun, and last but not least, HeadsNo2.

The King 2 Hearts please:)

The king 2 hearts has been such an awesome drama for me this year.Ever since it ended ,I have not been able to enjoy any other dramas and have become such a die hard fan of MY lee seung gi (lol) that everytime i open my laptop I straight away go to his fansite and look for his news .Also this is the only drama that made really approciate the hardwork of not just the main leads and actors but the whole staff of tk2h .It really made me see beyond what I always have been seeing .

Another reason for me wanting this ost is the music itself .I've liked a lot of osts in the past but this ost to me is in completely different level to rest. Its way high up in terms of quality and its ability to showcase the character's feelings through its mesmerising melody. It actually pretty much tells us what the character will go through/have gone through .Therefore, the king 2 hearts for me all the way :)

The king 2 hearts jjang !!!!

Shut up flower Boys Band Ost

I've watched this drama 2 months ago, first subbed in french because that's one of my native languages (yeah I have two but it's not important, isn't it ?)and it's easier this way. But arriving to the 13th episode, and no more subs. I was like nooooooooo and finished it in english ^^ What surprised me watching the series is that it stole my heart gradually without me noticing that in the end, it was with queen in hyun's man one of the most beautiful dramas of the year. What made the drama special is first of all Byung Hee. Really !! If this is how you treat a comeo, the story of the rest of the cast must be that or more amazing and touching. Plus, I'm kind of fan about those characters which doesn't care about girls but hey, come to have the swetest relationship. ( Kindé Ji Hyuk ah you shoul've told them before that you have a girlfriend, but I forgive you, your explanation made sense). I also loved Do Il, and couldn't hate Hyun Soo, he had his own problems and a Kim Ye Rim always running in him lool ah and a cute little sister who wants to mary our male lead haa. And the point that confirmed that this series was a masterpiece was its end. I really wouldn't guessed it. I thought they would be a band forever, but that's what they will be, in a different and very satisfying way.

Yikes, page 6 already! The perils of being in my time zone. So much fun stuff goes on at Dramabeans on while I'm fast asleep.

I'd like to throw my hat in the ring for the Chuno OST. When I first started watching dramas (not that long ago really), I had no interest in the "historical" ones. I've always been a history buff, but having grown up in the US, my knowledge was pretty Westward leaning. I had no idea about the culture of ancient Korea, and the sageuk genre seemed both intimidating and somewhat boring.

But like all things in life, my mind was changed thanks to my love of a cute boy. *sigh* Once I realized how many of the sageuks featured my favorite hotties, they had to go on the list. So thank you Lee Jun Ki and Park Si-Hoo for using your super-adorableness to introduce me to the wonders of ancient Korea.

Like HeadsNo2 said, the beautiful soundtrack to Chuno evokes that feeling of being moved and inspired by a drama. I'd love to have something like that on my playlist. I don't think I could bear to watch the drama over and over, but listening to the OST on repeat could bring a little sageuk flavor into my daily life.

No way, page 7 already! On an unrelated note, I also wanted to comment on how much I loved SUFBB (no OST request, just a comment). I sobbed like a baby for at least an hour after finishing that drama. Being a little older than the target demo for that one, I really connected with the feeling of being young and fighting for your dreams (even if they don't turn out how you expect them to in the end).

I think the thing that got me most was knowing that no matter how much they loved each other, life goes on and relationships change. Friendships may last forever (if you're lucky), but they're never the same as when you are a kid. It's such an emotional and finite period, and the makers of that drama captured it perfectly.

SHINEE'S SHERLOCK
Until two weeks ago, I had no idea who Shinee was. Then, I saw the 'to the beautiful you' teasers and posters, and I started to become obsessed as much as Mari was with Kyungjoon. Next, I spent 60 minutes of my life on Wikipedia, looking for whatever I could about this drama and its cast.
I would post about all the extensive knowledge I know about this, but I'm starting to freak myself out at how stalkerish I am, now that I'm writing all this down.
However, I'm sure of one thing- Shinee's Taemin and Sulli must have been twins in a past life.

CD of choice: Chuno OST

Left alone at home during the two-month summer break (the family went off holidaying while I stayed for summer school in an attempt to graduate from uni earlier. Hardest 'no' in my life, ever), I took to camping in the den with food and my trusty harddrive hooked up to the TV. Mom had warned me against Chuno but I thought, eh.

Turned out, eh became HOMGJUMPINGPUMPKINSISTHATJANGHYUKNEXTEPISODENEXXXTTTT! (Because 'Successful Story of a Bright Girl' had been the last thing I saw him in. The less said about that, the better.)

I think I love everything about that masterpiece of a drama, and then some. Dae-gil broke my heart, but then made me smile through my tears. The brotherhood was amazing. The action sequences (and directing) were godly. During those chase scenes when "Change" by Gloomy 30's played, I galloped on my imaginary pony on the sofa, lunch forgotten. When it came to those episode-end cliffhangers... Well, the girl in my den screaming, thrashing in the air and fumbling for the remote for the "Next" button who looked like me? Wasn't me. Nope.

Even the quiet scenes got me in the heart; take for instance the one with Seol-hwa's haegeum-strumming, which started out humorous as she mimicked animal sounds but later evolved to a stirring piece, the sound of a man's unrequited love (if memory serves). I don't have unrequited-love-icitis a la Dae-gil myself, but I remember thinking, oh my goodness that's exactly what it must feel like to be in love. It's touches like these peppered throughout the show that elevated my appreciation for this gem of a drama.

Some guy in Japan made the news a few years ago when he announced he was "dating" his favourite video game character. I'm not that far gone, but if Chuno were a real person...

--- Shut Up: Flower Boy Band ---
I like this drama mainly because i didn't EXPECT to like it, really. I thought it would be something like ramyun shop but it was so much better, so much fun & even though the main actress was new, she did well (much better than some experienced ones, i can say >_<)

Now the Band's songs, they were simply amazing (maybe i liked the practice better =D )
My favourite was 'Wake Up', i think it had so much potential, maybe if the drama was aired on one of the 3 major broadcast TV, they'd had a special stage or something :(

--- The King 2 Hearts ---
Now, i liked the synopsis so much (a north-south-royal- military-wedding, who wouldn't like it =D ) & i hoped the drama won't disappoint me, thank God it didn't!!
It was so thrilling, so much fun to watch (even though i had my exams during the broadcast period i couldn't miss any episode)
Even though there were some episodes i rated as not-so-much-fun it was overall a very good series =)

----------------
Thanks you so much Javabeans, Girlfriday for the opportunity (of spazzing about my fav dramas of the year, in particular ♥)

Just because this was such a beautiful drama with many twists and characters you could sympathize with. I simply loved the great relationship among the boys.
In the time I watched the drama I misused youtube's replay button for Sung Joon's Wake up, I just adore his voice! He would be such a great singer (Still I prefer him as actor to be able to SEE him all the time ;)
I love all the drama's songs I could find on youtube and really enjoy listening to them for reminding me of the drama and the period of my life around the time I watched it. Also, by now I am a great fan of Mate, thanks to our dear drummer Lee Hyeon Jae!
I am sure I would make good use of your CD by listening to it driving along the Autobahn with 150 km/h (about 90 mph) and singing loudly in my bad korean and with its cover as special gem on my wall.
You won't regret it :)

Chuno OST

Thanks so much for doing this!

I'm personally a huge fan of Jang Hyuk and when I saw that he was going to star in Chuno; I was over the roof in excitement. The music in this drama was an excellent representation of the feelings and trials that each of the characters when through. Although I feel like a lot of the songs stood for Dae Gil as his heart got trampled by the girl he's been looking for in the last ten years of his life. In which I cried a little inside each time. I love all of the songs so much because of the emotional ties within the music.

God I would really love the You've Fallen For Me OST. That drama came at a time when I was hard-pressed to watch kdrama all the way through because of all! the! angst!, and it was just this sweet, easy watch with the added bonus of fantastic music. Plus ensemble casts are my bread and butter, so even though the story revolved around a main couple, I ate up every moment with the rest of the school. And who wouldn't love a mix of traditional Korean music and kpop?

Sherlock please! ^^

After downloading the album, it went to the top of my iTunes most played list in pretty much a day. Even though they were my first kpop band, it feels a bit cheap having that as my only reason.

From a musical point of view, I felt that it was a real breakaway from some of the earlier material - and from the general feel of kpop as a whole at the moment. They leave the heavy electronica/dubstep genre to the rookies, and carry on with what they do best: a new, fresh title track with Sherlock, and then the heartfelt, self-composed tracks Alarm Clock and Honesty - as well as all the others that tie the EP together. The album is really well put together and I would love the chance to own a physical copy.

Thank you so much! :)

SHINee's Sherlock! (((:

I'll admit, I'm a really big Shawol. xD I first learned about them during Ring Ding Dong and thought they were the strangest group ever but I listened to their other songs and fell in love! They're so talented and hilarious, the boys fit so well together and work so hard. They're really good people and don't make trouble haha. XDD

I also can't wait for Minho's drama, I am a fan of the original manga for it so I hope they pull it off well!

I'm going to be living on the Korean floor in the language house next semester so it would be awesome to be able to blast Sherlock for everyone to hear. ^o^ Thank you! (=

The King 2 Hearts, please. This was easily my favourite drama of the year; if the fact that Lee Seung-Gi was starring in it wasn't enough, it really delivered on all accounts. Shi Kyung and Jae Shin were the most moving couple for me; I cried more than once when it involved their story. The last scene with Jae Shin in episode 20 was one of the most poignant, in my opinion, but all of the beautiful scenes that made up this amazing drama were helped along because of the soundtrack. I remember pausing it more than once, trying to Google the song based on a few words I could hear. I would love to own this OST because it really reminds me of how touching the drama was for me. But the King 2 Hearts also had its fair share of funny moments, and sweet ones. The OST helped create all of those moments that us drama-addicts will remember everytime we think of the King 2 Hearts, and that's why I would love to win this OST. Thanks for the opportunity!

The You've Fallen for Me OST because I adore all the songs in the drama-- Jung Yong Hwa's voice has always been soothing and very effective at putting me in a good mood. I also loved Kang Min Hyuk's character in the drama--he was hilarious at being perpetually hungry! Overall, everyone was a delight to watch (& I especially loved Park Shin Hye's dance to "Satisfaction" at the end because she could finallyyy dance) making the entire drama has made it as one of my all time favorites.

Entry for Shinee Sherlock CD or the OST of You've Fallen For Me.

First of all, thank you so much for making such a great giveaway!:) I've been your devoted reader for years now and even before I got into watching (almost all) Asian dramas in the Internet, I always checked this site, your opinions and reviews on them and chose my favourites to watch:) Thank you so much for keeping up the good work and hopefully I will have the pleasure to follow you for many years to come:) *huggles*

And as for the giveaway, the main reason I would like to win this is that the CD would not be for me. I would like to present it to a dear friend of mine, who is also a passionate Kfan and loves watching dramas as often as she can. It was her birthday recently and unfortunately I was unable to order her the CD she had always wanted, so I hoped that to compensate my (lame) birthday present for her, I 'd have the chance to give her the CD of one of her favourite artists - Shinee (her bias is Minho*drools*). *_*
She is also a devoted reader of yours, always checking this site as often as she can and eventhough recently she was admitted to the hospital with a bad heart failure and had to go under a surgery the day after, she is already recovering and trying her best to follow all the recent Kdramas with me:D Our recent favourite is actually a Japanese drama Rich Man, Poor Woman with the unbelievably sexy Oguri Shun:D LOL But the recent Kdrama we loved was Big, eventhough she truly hoped the ending would be a bit...happier. We found it rather depressing...
The drama You've Fallen For Me was also our favourite, cause CN Blue's Younghwa is absolutely irresistable and the story was both cute and romantic:) We fell in love with Younghwa after watching a very very old Running Man episode with him in it and damn, he is one of the funniest actors/singers we've ever seen:)LOL

So yeah, I would be very greatful to you if you could give me the chance to make her the happiest with a CD she has always wanted:)

Thank you in advance and do keep up the good work of making us laugh, cry and smile with your drama reviews;)

Yours, Kelly

The You've Fallen For Me OST, please!

If I'm being perfectly honest, this is not my favourite drama. I don't even know if it would make the Top 5. But it's the drama that's so strongly tied to and reminiscent of THAT summer. The summer when I went on vacation with my family and played the songs from this OST on repeat because the other option was staring at insanely boring tourist attractions that only my dad was interested in. The summer when I would head down to the lobby of whichever hotel we were staying at to use the free WiFi and catch up on the recaps/subbed episodes of this drama. The summer when I realized that drama guys aren't REAL--at least not where I'm from.

You've Fallen For Me is not a perfect drama, but it's MY perfect drama. It was light and cute, it built a world where I could hide myself when I felt lost in my own surroundings, and it made me smile even when I didn't feel like it. The songs--while also extremely catchy--filled me with this feeling of inexplicable glee whenever I listened to them.

The drama and the OST aren't about the attractive actors or the pretty actresses. Not for me, at least. Rather, they're about THAT summer. That's why this drama is unforgettable and this OST will never fail to bring on a fresh wave of nostalgia.

I would love the You've Fallen For Me OST! It's a rare case where I actually find myself liking most of the songs on a Kdrama OST where usually I only like a few or even one in the whole compilation.
I loved the fusion between the traditional Korean and modern indie-rock music in Carmen, and Jung Yunghwa's voice in Because I Miss You.. touches me every time even though I have no clue what he's on about.
The drama was okay, if it weren't for the music though.. I probably would've stopped watching.

You've fallen for me OST .

even thought the drama was okay but I loved the OST more than the drama itself, besides CNBLUE is one of my favorite bands, and listening to songs of Jung Yong Hwa and Kang Min Hyuk really makes me smile, not to mention Park Shin Hye's great voice that makes me love her even more.

You've fallen for me OST has everything, it makes you relax and feel at ease. That's why it would be great to have a copy !!! ^________^

Shut Up Flower Boy Band OST!

I haven't watch the drama yet, (but I'll definitely watch it sometime this month. my works just keep piling up for this week and next week, so I swear I'll watch it by this end of month) but I always read your recap and every Monday that's the most thing I've been waiting for. The story made me fall in love, and your thoughts complete it.
I download some of the songs you posted, and I like all of them. I really really REALLY want WANT this cd 'cause in my town it's SO hard to find a K-Drama OST cds, be it original cd or the fake one (piracy. Not that I ever buy that one, I respect artists works, mind you).

So please, I crave Shut UP Flower Boy Band OST cd!!

Hi guys! I would really like to win the "You’ve Fallen For Me OST". I remember watching You're Beautiful after I have read the drama recaps here. I suffered from the second male lead... I was rooting for Park Shin Hye and Jung Yong Hwa. Oh the disappointment I had when the drama end... but then when I heard about this new drama pairing them up as the main couple, I was so happy. I was like this is a must drama to watch, and this time I was not disappointed. I love the songs that played throughout the drama. My friend even entered a contest and actually won a guitar pick with Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye on it from the drama stills and gave it to me. If I could get the OST, I should have like a little collection of things from the drama of You've Fallen For Me. Plus, I am a big fan of CN Blue with Yong Hwa as my favorite LOL :)

I would like SHINee’s “Sherlock” CD! Back in March, I watched the MV that had been just released right before I boarded a cruise and it was the soundtrack of my vacation! I love their gorilla dance and the songs are so catchy!

Thank you (:

SHINee's Sherlock!

SHINee was the first kpop band that's listened to and since then I have been avidly listening. When this album came out I was so excited! Now I'm waiting even more excited for Minho's drama because Hana kimi was one of my most favorite mangas and I watched the Japanese version. I can't wait for To The Beautiful You!

Kings 2Hearts
This was the drama which I wasn't interested in because it sounded so boring.Who would ever have thought it would capture my heart.More than just loving the drama it was the things I experienced watching it.Hang Ah was a gutsy optimistic yet realistic girl. However it was the romance between the Princess and Ship Kyung that killed me.He was the first ever drama lead I watched die.I am a Rom com person. To this day that last scene with him on the wall evokes so much pain.
The lyrics for this drama are beautiful.Even that old trot sounding MV he sent her in ep 6 has such appropriate lines.Sigh.To me K2H was more than just a drama.Getting the OST will be more than just listening to the songs.I want the photos that come with the OST as well.First Love- have you ever seen such lyrics? It just kills me even listening to it :-(

And leah -if you are reading this. The countless hours pouring over the subs for you has made me appreciate how well written the characters are.Although at times I was ready hurl something at the screen. So if no one else- you better write an entry to win this OST okay? That would make the K2H love circle complete. For you.Good luck girl.

Any of them!!! I'm so thankful for this website. I've been an avid fan for a long time that I really can't remember when it started or not having Dramabeans. Since I love anything and everything about kdrama, I'd be grateful for any of these CDs. Thank you!!

I would love the King 2 Hearts OST mostly because of the amount of tears that I shed while watching this drama was inhumane. Honestly, after watching over 100 dramas I never thought that a drama could get to me in such a manner. Also I believe I could use a prize after withstanding the excruciatingly long and equally annoying scenes of Kim Bong Goo. There was not a single scene in which my TV did not run the risk of being smashed by my fist because I hated him so much. I don't know about you guys but every time that Lee Jae Ha would take a jab at him I would scream in delight. Last but not least, I need help recovering from Eun Shi Kyung's death. Make me love a character as much as I loved him and then kill it for some useless anti-climatic plot twist. Why don't you remove my heart and crush it show?!...WHAT WAS THE POINT BESIDES TORTURING ME?!?! Anyways... I won't even talk that much about the awesomeness of the main couple for that is something I know I share with everyone. The political intrigue was top notch and Ha Ji Won's action scenes were baddass. I really hope I'm able to live these scenes again while listening to the official OST. Thanks!

I would love to win the Shut Up: Flower Boy Band OST. I already have most of the album as digital files (which you graciously made availabe through this site, THANK YOU!) but the thought of having an actual physical copy made my heat beat like nothing else! I couldn't believe it myself.

I started watching this drama when it first came out on Dramafever in January, and I am STILL WATCHING IT! I knew watching this one marathon style wouldn't do it justice; I really want to watch it as slow as possible and savor every episode. I am only halfway through the series and I am so impressed with how the characters are developing, and I love the blooming relationship between Ji-hyuk and Su-ah. During my long bouts of not watching SU:FBB, I watch other dramas as they are released or marathon style, but I find I get tired of the characters and the drama tropes. Returning to SU:FBB gets me so giddy, and since I wait so long between episodes, that means I have to refresh by watching the previous episodes and reading DB recaps with the goofiest smile on my face.

This drama definitely transports me like none other. I love its style, the characters and their dynamic relationships. I love watching them as they develop and work so hard to figure themselves out and do what's right for them.

All that, and the music is awesome.

Shut Up Flower Boy Band OST!!

Definitely one of my favorite dramas of all time. I can't squeal over how amazing the characters were individually and even better as a team. Hands down to this drama for having the best bromance in bromance history!

Not to mention, the music is so refreshing, and it fits so well into the drama. It almost makes me shed a tear every time I hear the songs on my iTunes (especially Not In Love and Jaywalking) T.T...

Ugh. Just, awesome OST and awesome drama.

Lastly, thankyouverymuch dramabeans! For always giving us the best recaps. I can't live without reading them now, even after I've already watched the episode.

(^(oo)^)

SHINee's Sherlock!

Honestly, without SHINee and their amazing music, I would have never discovered the wonderful world of kpop and kdramas three years ago. They opened my eyes to a new culture and the adventure has been nothing but the best. Waiting until three in the morning for a music video or throwing tantrums because the subs of the new episode of Gaksital isn't out yet, everything was fun and definitely worth it. I look forward to Minho's drama "To the Beautiful You"! So cheers to SHINee, the Almighty recappers, and Dramabeans!

KING 2 HEART

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this drama most especially the soundtrack by kwill "love is crying". There is a channel on youtube where a fan of the drama made a tribute video using this soundtrack and i swear i cry all the time. The most heartbreaking part for me of this drama was that moment when she got shot.....I literally SCREAMED at the screen saying no to myself over and over again and then when she winced from pain, i gave a sigh of relief like everyone else because i was so happy for them to be reunited as a couple. As for lee Seungi, i became a HUGE fan of his after this drama. I liked him in Gumiho but i LOVED him here. He showed growth as an actor and i am expecting to see more of him soon.

P.S this is the link if interested in the video

The King 2 Hearts OST would be my pick.

Somehow I don’t even think it’s the best drama, but damn if it weren’t the most heartfelt, and definitely my favorite coming off the first half of the year (Gaksital may knock it off its pedestal but um, that would require me to get over my commitment fears first). I actually wasn’t a huge fan of Lee Seung-gi or Ha Ji-won coming into the drama but they were just incredibly winning playing their characters in The King 2 Hearts. Hang-Ah was great, impressing me with her badassery and zero tolerance for pantsy-ass royalties in just the opening episodes. And what I appreciated the most was that her character never lost steam throughout the whole drama, unlike in Secret Garden where the kickass seemed to disappear after a quarter way through. She was the driving force behind Jae-ha and really brought out the best in him, deep deep DEEP beneath that shallow exterior.

For me, I find the drama to be less about the King and the political shenanigans than his ridiculously endearing crew that brought him there. The way he goes from butting heads with the North Korean soldiers to engaging in playful tussles with them in the latter half just kills me (also the bromance made me shriek let’s not even go there). I feel like this would be an appropriate moment to bring up Jo Jung-seok because, OH MY GOD SHI-KYUNG IS LIKE /THE/ BEST SECOND LEAD EVARRR. It’s amazing how he manages to oscillate between straight-laced golden boy and frustrated daddy’s boy, almost pitch-perfect as a character and probably why I was clawing at my screen when he died (let’s face it, it was just for dramatic effect, to hit us where it hurts). His (eventual) heartbreaking romance with the princess made me weep for them, but his bromance with Jae-Ha, uhg just kills me. The get-your-act-together-you’re-the-goddamn-king speech Shi-Kyung gave Jae-ha was so so great, though I’m forever blocking out the moment where he dies in Jae-ha’s arms. Yeah, didn’t happen.

tl;dr -- loved the drama, SQUEE BROMANCE, and um, oh right, music was lovely (also a HUGE thanks to all of you recappers. think of it as a consolation prize for all those long hours slaving away at the keyboard, or something).
