Giveaway hootenanny: CDs and OSTs!

It’s a giveaway! It’s a hootenanny! It’s a giveaway hootenanny!

Here’s the shortened version of how this giveaway came to be: gummimochi says, “Hey, I have this CD I want to give away to fans to celebrate my anniversary with Dramabeans,” and we says, “That’s a great idea, let’s steal it and give away LOTS of stuff, because as we know, more is always better!”

So we’re giving away OSTs, one from each of us, just to say thanks for being you, and for sharing our neverending love of all things kdrama.

Rules:

Leave a comment here (with your real email address!), explaining why you’d like to win the CD of your choice. Maybe this was your favorite drama EVAR, or maybe you really want that disc to use for dart practice. Whatever floats your boat. You may enter for any or all of the CDs (separate comment per entry, please), but be sure to specify which particular one you are addressing.

Note that winners will NOT be picked in a random selection; each of us will choose one winner, to be announced next week. Meet back here on Sunday, August 12, for results!

SHINee’s “Sherlock”

gummimochi:

This time one year ago, I could never have imagined that I would be able to share my everlasting love for variety, drama, and pop music to a beautiful you. Putting all those together, I’ve chosen SHINee’s new mini-album, “Sherlock.”

Min-ho will be headlining the upcoming drama, To the Beautiful You, where he needs to be clued in that a he might be a she. Not like it takes Sherlock Holmes-esque detective skills to figure that out though, but hey – this is kdrama-land.

You’ve Fallen For Me OST

kaedejun:

Time flies when you’re having fun! It feels like yesterday when I wrote my first recap, and I can still remember that experience. 12 recaps and 2 years later, I’m still living through that experience – which I’ll never forget – thanks to Dramabeans, where discussion, fan-girling (or fan-guying), and sharing flow through like streams of consciousness during the lazy days of summer. Speaking of summer – this is why I’ve chosen the You’ve Fallen For Me OST. Its OST makes me think of sunshine, happiness, sunflowers, and daisies. Really. And it features CN Blue’s Jung Yong-hwa and Kang Min-hyuk, which is one of my few favorite bands (second to the almighty Big Bang). So I hope you enjoy it as much as I have, and live this summer out as carefree and happily as the students of You’ve Fallen For Me. I’ll see you at the beach!

Chuno OST

HeadsNo2:

This is a soundtrack near and dear to my heart, not only because Chuno will always remain one of my all time favorite dramas, but because it also represents one of my favorite aspects of dramas and Dramabeans – the ability to bring people together. By melding history with modern sensibilities, it’s a drama that broke ground and appealed to a mass audience, whether they were seasoned sageuk lovers or complete newbies to the genre. No matter what our favorite genre is, we all look for stories with the ability to move us, to transport us to another world, to be thought-provoking, to give us a reason to want to gather and share our thoughts, our experiences, and our love of community. One hundred posts later, I’ve definitely come to treasure the discussion that happens here and all the wonderful insights I’ve learned from our time together, and hope you can enjoy a soundtrack that moved and inspired me as much as I did, if not more. Oh, and ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥.

Shut Up: Flower Boy Band OST

javabeans:

There are a lot of reasons for me to single out Shut Up: Flower Boy Band, like the fact that it remains, more than halfway through 2012, the drama that touched my heart the most this year. Other dramas had the big twists, the high drama, the epic conflicts, and the quirky high concepts—but Shut Up, despite its small world and small stories, had for me the sincerest connection with emotion and angst. The people felt real and the drama was fueled by that pounding, aching, fluttering and sometimes raging heart that drove its characters.

But you know what? All that aside, Shut Up: Flower Boy Band had awesome music. It had the deftest way of working its music into the plot, effectively making its soundtrack a running storyline like it was a character of its own. So there.

The King 2 Hearts OST

girlfriday:

An epic drama that managed to steal my heart in an epic way. The King 2 Hearts swept me up in its tense action, side-splitting comedy and sweet romance at every turn, and the score played a big part in keeping me enraptured in that world. It’s also a drama that reminded me of the fervor of fandom — you guys made the crazy train fun (also crazy), and I was happy to come along for the ride. This OST probably marks those few months in time — the OMG WHAT HAPPENS NEXT crack addiction — as much as the drama itself. Here’s to love in the DMZ, and sharing good dramas with friends from around the globe. Cheers.

I would LOVE the King 2 Hearts OST!! Thank you girlfriday for choosing this CD to giveaway! I love these songs because even the instrumentals share the same character as the drama: heart-poundingly thrilling, yet also sweet and calm.

I am so grateful that not only are you all amazing people who share your drama passions with us, but that you also are having a giveaway as the cherry on top of the already scrumptious ice cream sundae that is dramabeans :)

Thank you for all of your hard work!!!

SHINee's Sherlock.
SHINee was one of the first Korean boybands that kicked off my love for k-pop. Not only do they have good looks, but their ability to sing and dance, at the same time, makes me love them even more. I feel that as produce album by album, a new skill is found. This album, I feel as though they showcased more ability in their vocals, and that is what I love about them. Being able to show something new every time, and that is what makes me love them so much. This mini-album that they have produced has too little songs, but yet, they are able to sing each and every song perfectly. SHINee is the best at what they do, and I hope it stay that way. If I am able to win this giveaway, that would be great, but what makes me even happier is seeing other comments from people about why SHINee shines. Thank you Dramabeans and staff, you guys are amazing for doing this for us!

Oooh ooh choose me choose me! *waves arms frantically in air*

All of you at Dramabeans are FANTASTIC BABY! (I mean....not that you weren't BEFORE, y'know, the giveaway hootenanny of awesomely awesome stuff...)

After scrolling through the selections, I immediately thought I'd be vying for Shut Up! Flower Boy Band's OST. However, after reading all of your individual comments about the OST/albums you were offering, I actually really want the YOU'VE FALLEN FOR ME OST! I'll admit I've never watched the drama, but I have watched Park Shin Hye and Jung Yong Hwa together in You're Beautiful and know they are absolutely precious and have lovely voices to boot! Honestly, I've stayed away from the drama primarily because of the Dramabeans' Ratings List, which I always refer to when I need to feed the addiction (Choose me, choose me!) but I may just tune in for the music now that I know the soundtrack is recommended! The deciding factor for choosing this OST was actually kaedejun's description of the music. I'd adore summery sunflowers & daisies blooming in my ears! Also, as a fellow VIP, I know you have absolutely AMAZING taste in music. (Choose me choose me!!)

So that's my bid for the You've Fallen For Me OST :)

And uh...yeah...

(Choose me choose me!!)

I would choose the You've Fallen For Me OST.

Because if YouTube playlists were like mix tapes, my K-drama music playlist would have gotten worn out long ago, with You've Fallen For Me the most-played song on the list. It's the song I love to listen to when I wake up in the morning because it's so upbeat it sets a good mood for the day, and the Comfort Song is the song I like to listen to last thing at night before I sleep, because it gives me such a warm and snuggly feeling. Of course I'd like to own it so I can play it anytime anywhere!

Oh, and I'd like to thank DB for changing the way I look at dramas (starting with K-dramas, and now any kind of drama) and for being such an inspiration and a great example. Lots of people can do recaps-- but recaps with great insight? Only Dramabeans.

Ok I would love to get Shut Up Flower Boy Band OST.

Why? Hm, this drama is great I love it's soundtrack (I know nearly all lyrics), but the truth is that when this drama was on-air I happened to make my dream come true and go to Korea (Seoul) for a month. Song from this drama was in radio and many places I visited so this music evoke many special memories and feeling I got to experience in Korea. Of course I won't get this CD but I wanted to share the story^^ <3 In my heart always Korea "Love for you- I wake up, song for you- I wake up, 바로지금 Wake up!"

Greeting from faaar faaar away - Poland:D

Of all of them, I'd have to have SUFBB! That would be my #1 pick! I fell in love with this HS drama of all things (my HS days were a LONG TIME AGO)! It was by a fluke! I was so disappointed with Dream High (I blame my age) that I started watching this! I watched every episode each week TWICE! I love it! I LOVE IT!!

I would love to have SHINee's Sherlock. I absolutely love SHINee!! They are my 2nd favorite right after Big Bang. Whenever I see these boys on my screen I light up and smile! Although I already bought all these songs via iTunes i would love to have an actual physical copy of the CD. Also my bias in SHINee is Minho and has always been Minho! He's introduced me to some great variety shows like Let's Go Dream Team Season 2. And he introduced me to the funny sitcom The Salamander Guru. And its only because of Minho that I'm super-duper excited to see To The Beautiful You! <3

Chuno Ost

Chuno was the first sageuk action drama that I watched and really loved. This is the one that started my JangHyuk love affair (went on to watch Thank You another really awesome drama). I really was not expecting such a great drama. In fact, I thought it was going to be really bad considering JangHyuk looked really dirty, Lee Da Hae was just not that strong of an actress, and let's be honest... who watches dramas these days that doesn't star an idol. But as I started the first episode, I got hooked and kept going... I didn't even skip any scenes! The story line was great and the actors only made it stronger. I would love to go on and on about all the beautiful scenes like the one where JangHyuk and Lee Da Hae finally meet but I'm sure you've seen it and know what I'm talking about. I loved this drama so much that I a 30 year old ajhumma opened a myspace account for it. Of course I no longer use myspace but it had it's moment of glory with "Beige" and "Stigma" playing in the background. And every now and then when I'm feeling depressed or nostalgic I turn to youtube to watch the music videos made by fans or rewatch certain scenes. I would love to be the one to win this CD so I can listen to these songs when driving in a car on a rainy day.
Thanks.

I would love to win SHINee's Sherlock for my best friend. She really likes them and she's crazy in love with Taemin but she does not have that much money to spare on all these KPop stuff. I just thought it'd be nice to be able to give her this CD this coming Christmas, even if it's still months away. Thanks gummimochi! :)

The King 2 Hearts OST.

The King 2 Hearts was simply the best kdrama I've ever watched. Loved the writing, loved the acting, loved Jae Ha, Hang Ah, Shi Kyung, Jae Shin, Jae Kang, Young Bae, Kang Seok...

Loved the soundtrack. Even until now, Taeyeon's "Missing You Like Crazy" still makes me cry.

I would like to win this because I always loved dramas that had some musical focus. I had a little more love for this one because sexy voice of the main male lead. Since I don't have a cn blue album yet, this one would be good enough til I actually get one.

I would love to have the "Sherlock" CD/Album, because I've been a fan of K-Pop and K-Dramas since last year, and it would be an honor to win the SHINee "Sherlock" CD/Album. I've been with dramabeans for a year and winning a CD from dramabeans would mean something to me like never before. I've never won a CD giveaway mostly because I don't take part of it, but also I never win when I participate. If I don't win it would be okay, I would participate in the next CD giveaway because I will still be with dramabeans till then.

DRAMABEANS, FIGHTING!!!

I would love to have Shinee's Sherlock. I remember back in 2010 my friend was watching their Hello video and I was like omg actually like this song. I sang the song for the whole entire week. Then I saw this cutie pie in red and I was in love(key). That's why when I heard there where coming to New York for SM concert, I went crazy. Not only that but they were coming to the korean festival in new jersey. I was in heaven, october 2011 was the best month ever. Although I saw them, I was kind of depressed because they didn't sell any CDs, only a poster! "you only come to New York once and only a poster".

On the other hand Sherlock is rocking. That song and the entire mini-cd is such upbeat and Uplifting. Plus Taemin's amazing hair and key's awesome moves are just out of this world.

Shut up flower boy band please!
'cause it was my birthday the other day? ^ ^ (LOL hopeful face), and I didn't get one present...so this will be my first LMFAO (I think I'm at a present deserving age...only 17~).

LOL nah, ^ that's a crappy reason. Shut up flower boy band was the first drama I watched without any of my friends accompanying me. They just said it didn't appeal to them. Also they couldn't take the fact that Lee Min Ki was killed off so early... (I tried explaining to them LMK was a cameo, but they still wouldn't continue...)I was completely in love with SUFBB though so I kept talking to them about it despite the fact none of them watch it. It's really my go-to-friend drama, and now a drama that I recommend if any of my friends want something fluffy, sweet, warm hearted, and ultimately a friend drama. Watching SUFBB I really treasure my own friends, and and it's just such a feel good drama. I cried and laughed so much in it!!

Thanks for the awesome giveaway, and all recappers keep up the awesome!

I want to get a copy of the SUFBB OST! Sorry if this will be a long post, I haven’t been really able to express how much I love the drama ever since I first watched it.

I consider SUFBB as my favorite drama of all-time. Before SUFBB came, I didn’t have a “favorite drama of all-time” for there was no drama that I thought I could rewatch over and over again. It might be shallow but one of my criteria in choosing is that if I’ll be able to rewatch it forever. And SUFBB is able to satisfy it along with the fact that it hits you just right straight into the heart. I already lost count of how many times I’ve seen this drama. After I saw it for the first time, I saved all of your recaps and read them before watching the drama again! I still watch its rerun in one of our cable channels. And I’m planning to rewatch it again on my next school break..

Yeah, there is nothing really grand about this drama but four months after I first watched it, it still has a great impact on me. The first episode got me hooked already. I swear I cried like a baby at episode 3. It’s the K-drama death that made me cry the most. I also bawled my eyes out at the last four episodes. I marathoned the last four episodes so I was crying for almost four hours. I’m now a fan of Lee Min Ki and all of the boys, of course! But LMK has made me fall in love with him the most even with just two episodes. I can’t explain the happiness I feel every time I see a picture or a clip of the boys. The show has turned me into a sucker for bromance (I’m now loving every bit of bromance in 1N2D and Joo Won’s bromance with Park Ki-woong. LOL). My heart flutters every time I hear any of the OSTs. I can listen to Jaywalking for hours.. or even days. I spazz every time I see the boys tweet to each other on Twitter (too bad that doesn’t happen right now anymore). I loved the Kyung-jong and Ha-jin couple even more than the main couple! When I go to Korea, I’m planning to visit that street where Byung-hee waited for his muse, which is also the inspiration for Jaywalking! I would also love to see the rooftop where they lived in the drama. Of course, I’ll be watching the boys’ next projects—Yoo Min-kyu in To The Beautiful You and Sung-joon and Lee Min-Ki’s movies.

And lastly, I’m a big big CN Blue and Yong Hwa and Min Hyuk fan yet I’m asking for this SUFBB OST! LOL.

ive always been an avid reader and commenter here at dramabeans. although I don't always enjoy the dramas that are recapped I am so grateful that you all take the time to do this and help those challenged in Korean understand what is going on in dramas.
bottom line, I am a kdrama addict, I just can't get enough. although recently my love for dramas has slowly been expanding into kpop. I would love to win the Shinee CD..not only are they a good group but it will help expand my very very limited kpop collection....and let's face it, who wouldn't love a CD of some pretty hot guys who can sing

You've fallen for me OST please !!!
This is my first time participating in an event like this. I started following this 'dramabeans' for last 2 years. I found other sites which provide me with recaps. But I luv ur writing style n grammar. It would be great if I receive this OST cd from u guys as a memorable gift... When I've got exam , my parents won't let me buy any Korean drama. In my country , the connection is slow n I can't watch the dramas online. At times like this , I usually read recaps from this site jux to soothe myself . I want my parents to be proud of me at least once . So I wish I could really really win this cd. I have never win anithing in my life . And I am answering Toefl on 18th this month. Winning the cd would be a great encouragement for me and it will mean a lot to me !!!!

Shut Up: Flower Boy Band OST <3 <3 <3
First of all , Byung Hee/Lee Min Ki: Whoever was in charge of casting him was A GENIUS !!! and thats why I actually watched this drama ( i LOVE HIM ) .
Second, even the plot was simple n like no twist nothing at all expect the LEE MIN KI 's DEATH XD .
Third, the songs from this drama were DEABAK really *w* This is the first time liked all of the songs from a drama. ALTHOUGH there isn't a lot of songs, but it's really rare for anyone to like all the songs from a drama. Cause they're all different genres and types! And not to mention, super catchy and I didn't get sick of it at all!!
Finally ,It was a drama that made me laugh (their corckiness.. cry(the death of Byung Hee , and the struggle of the band ,also the lead actress misfortune with her dad and not with her boys ahahahha ... sing along ( ost) .. <3

The King 2 Hearts

First I was confused, was this a drama about a king with a birth defect? Do I really want to watch the angst that is sure to come from someone who has 2 hearts in their chest cavity? Or was this going to mirror another drama where the heart was actually on the right side, not the left?

Then I noticed, Lee Seung Gi, my Gumiho love, my Shining Inheritence jerk was going to lead. Ok, then, lets watch what happens when a king has two hearts.

Say what you will about his acting/overacting he draws you in and makes you stay until the bitter and crazy end.

Chuno!

I would love this OST as this dramas takes me back to be my early days of watching kdramas! The excitement was all new, and I would spend back to back hours watching Jang Hyuk, Oh Ji Ho, Lee Jong Hyuk and cutie Kim Ji Suk (WITH commercials, mind you!). Those were the days... good thing I discovered ad blockers since then! Ha!

Even after watching countless dramas since then, the OST is still one of my favorite ones of all time. It truly complemented all the abs and eye candy of the drama :)

Thanks!

SHINee's Sherlock please! :D

I still remember the middle school me, three years ago, teetering on the edge of outgrowing Disneychannel (I still feel the shame - my Jonas Brothers CD is tucked far away in my closet) and getting tired of American mainstream music. My cousin randomly showed me a video SHINee's Replay during a vacation trip. I proceeded to squeeze in time to use limited internet at a cheap hotel to watch SHINee videos. Needless to say, this led to research and then a huge obsession with k-pop and k-dramas 'till this day (I actually turn 16 today :D). I never thought I'd be so in love with Asians (I'm Vietnamese myself, but I live in a city with few Asians and none of them have nice hair or wear skinny jeans) Without SHINee, I don't know what my life would be like right now. I'd probably be a One Direction or Jersey Shore fangirl. I'm spending my teenage years jamming to songs that I don't even understand and drooling over Asian guys over a computer screen. But I don't care!

I love that Sherlock brought back similar sounds from their debut album, which was my favorite. The style and concept is ridic, but it's so SHINee that I couldn't have loved it more lol. I couldn't buy any physical albums this year (high school student without my own money :|) and it would just make my life complete if I had it. :3

Entering for... *drumrolls* TK2H aka The King 2 Hearts

Hearing about this drama again gives me the feels and creeps for all the right reasons... and having it's OST in my possession will only continue to fuel the bonds that tug at my weary heartstrings. Which can alternate between being a good thing and a bad thing. Though I'm willing to accept both because: The brotherhood. The bromance. The romance. The intrigue. The action. The bone chilling background music at every turn. The bad-ass heroine. The Lee Seung Gi. Aaand how can I continue beyond the Lee Seung Gi? The Everything.

King 2 Hearts OST!
This drama was one of my favorites this year, and put together two of my favorite actors- Ha JiWon and Lee SeungGi. Those two were fab in Secret Garden and My Girlfriend is a Gumiho, and seeing them together was just icing on any darn cake. I also loved the psycho-plot- whenever a drama goes the way of the mental, I can't help but be hooked (character development is so intense in those scenarios). I cried like a baby when Bot-Boy got shot...

I'd love to relive the moments through the OST!!

I would love to have the "You've Fallen For Me" OST because it had such great music in there. Throughout the whole drama, I kept wondering what each song that was playing was called. And plus, it is just a really great OST to have playing while cruising in your car. And some CN Blue doesn't hurt also. =) Thanks for having this!

Shut Up Flower Boy Band! Watching it was the epitome of drama-love for me. I laughed, I cried, I giggled like the fangirl I try to pretend I'm not. It reminded me of the best and worst bits of that own time in my life; crushing on the main vocal of my high school's best garage band, writing and playing my own music and how amazing that is, but also that feeling of going home to something broken and wishing you were anywhere else and being angry because it seems like life gave you the disadvantage and no matter how hard you try you might never catch up.
And I loved it for introducing me to Loveholics, one of my new faves, and for giving me a handful of songs that are so tied to the moments and emotions of watching the drama that I have to brace myself before listening to Jaywalking. I would love having the CD.

I would love to have the "You've Fallen For Me" OST because it had such great music in there. Throughout the whole drama, I kept wondering what each song that was playing was called. And plus, it is just a really great OST to have playing while cruising in your car. And some CN Blue doesn't hurt also! Thanks for having this! You guys are awesome! =D

The King 2Hearts because I loved the drama and loved the OST. This drama will forever be in my heart b/c it's the first one that got me hooked so badly that I started helping with subbing on Viki. Which in turn has really helped improve my understanding of Korean dialogue. And also really appreciate the other subbers and recappers out there even more. Until I started subbing, I didn't realize that even when I understood what something meant, how hard it was to actually interpret in English.

Heartstrings OST please...mostly because I loved how the show started...the music was VERY enjoyable...i was willing to watch it with no subtitles!

The beginning part was the best! The bickering chemistry of the 2 leads..I really wonder what might've been if there was not car accident that totally changed the storyline.

To me, what makes a memorable drama (that i could watch over and over again) is the music, the storyline, and the acting. heartsrtings is 2.8/3.0? ^_^ (the storyline started out good)

the only other show that I kinda would beg for an OST would be sungkyungkwan scandal, but that's a different story. Thanks for the opportunity anyway!

Entering for SUFBB; better known as Shut Up: Flower Boy Band

I've been residing in a cave the whole time this drama was on air. I decided it was too dangerous to leave myself in the open stuttering and bleeding, with the occasional spasms of happiness here and there.
Throughout the whole drama, I was given a sense of vulnerability and security at the same time. There's always the unpredictable streak of the characters and there's this strong bond that tells you everything will be okay in the end.
Oh I'm recovering alright, but I guess the OST will be the only one who can completely stop this process... which is the reason I'm entering.

Shut Up: Flower Boy Band - I have no compelling reason. I would love to get the CD b/c while I haven't had the chance to watch this drama yet, I am planning on it. I've loved all the other tVN dramas and respective OST that I've watched so far so to have the CD ahead of time would be great!

Chuno

Chuno kind of reminds me of those summer American blockbusters. The kind that have an epic score to match epic action. I'm talking John Williams Imperial March style,(btw can anyone actually hum the funeral march without turning it into the Imperial March? Its downright impossible for me.) or Inception level epicness. If I had it, I would totally add it to my playlist of epic music that I turn on for faux inspiration when working on projects, driving too fast, or when being melodramatic. As for the drama itself, absolutely loved Jang Hyuk, Lee Jong Hyuk and of course, Sung Dong Il. Chuno really introduced me to Jang Hyuk since I'd heard of him but only in the variety world where he made appearances on Family Outing as a friend of Kim Jong Kook and Cha Tae Hyun. Sung Dong Il is a riot, he's awesome in everything he does. Lee Jong Hyuk is amazing now in Gentleman's Dignity but I started following him cause of Chuno. Chuno had a great cast but it also had a great story. It was dark but not depressing, emotional but not overly dramatic, and in the end, was just epic

You’ve Fallen For Me OST!

My reason isn't a great one but i had ended a 5 year relationship a couple of months before and this kdrama really lifted me emotionally. The music was fantastic and the story was so simple and sweet - it gave me that escape that i needed.

I loved how quirky and funny the characters were especially when they were annoying or trying to do one up on each other at the start. I'd love to win the soundtrack as i liked the songs but then i loved them, when i realised Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye had sang/composed the songs for real!

i would love to have "Chuno" OST as i love saeguk dramas as much for the storylines as well as the beautiful music in them. they seem to have a special way of intertwining music that is both exciting yet soothing and fits so well with the story most of the time.(there are exceptions to all in kdrama land as we all know!) chuno was an awesome drama for me in many respects and the least of which is not the pretty boys as much as i oogled and looked forward to them- as the acting of them but mostly jang hyuk. ok, anyway, i loved the drama and i love the music and i would be honored to receive it.
i don't comment alot here but i faithfully subscribe/read Dramabeans everyday along with the recaps to the ones i am watching. i love to read and agree with so many of the fun regulars that comment~

You’ve Fallen For Me OST

why i shouldn't get this cd? i haven't watched the kdrama, but i've heard from a good friend of mine, who's also a kdrama fan that she loves CN Blue. if i win, i will give this cd to her:)

eventually i will get around to viewing this kdrama, but for now i'm totally immersed w/ joseon x-files... i'm a kdrama newbie and this site has been wonderful in navigating through all existing kdramas out there and i've based my viewing thru the drama ratings recommendations, for which i'm eternally grateful...

even my sister is amazed how i'm totally sucked in by kramas. she zones out when i speak of the storylines but listened through 'soulmate' raving mad can-it-happen to you comments, hahahahhaaa...

probably wouldn't win this cd, but this is my 1st posting on a blogsite, yehey!!!
