Giveaway hootenanny: CDs and OSTs!

It’s a giveaway! It’s a hootenanny! It’s a giveaway hootenanny!

Here’s the shortened version of how this giveaway came to be: gummimochi says, “Hey, I have this CD I want to give away to fans to celebrate my anniversary with Dramabeans,” and we says, “That’s a great idea, let’s steal it and give away LOTS of stuff, because as we know, more is always better!”

So we’re giving away OSTs, one from each of us, just to say thanks for being you, and for sharing our neverending love of all things kdrama.

Rules:

Leave a comment here (with your real email address!), explaining why you’d like to win the CD of your choice. Maybe this was your favorite drama EVAR, or maybe you really want that disc to use for dart practice. Whatever floats your boat. You may enter for any or all of the CDs (separate comment per entry, please), but be sure to specify which particular one you are addressing.

Note that winners will NOT be picked in a random selection; each of us will choose one winner, to be announced next week. Meet back here on Sunday, August 12, for results!

SHINee’s “Sherlock”

gummimochi:

This time one year ago, I could never have imagined that I would be able to share my everlasting love for variety, drama, and pop music to a beautiful you. Putting all those together, I’ve chosen SHINee’s new mini-album, “Sherlock.”

Min-ho will be headlining the upcoming drama, To the Beautiful You, where he needs to be clued in that a he might be a she. Not like it takes Sherlock Holmes-esque detective skills to figure that out though, but hey – this is kdrama-land.

You’ve Fallen For Me OST

kaedejun:

Time flies when you’re having fun! It feels like yesterday when I wrote my first recap, and I can still remember that experience. 12 recaps and 2 years later, I’m still living through that experience – which I’ll never forget – thanks to Dramabeans, where discussion, fan-girling (or fan-guying), and sharing flow through like streams of consciousness during the lazy days of summer. Speaking of summer – this is why I’ve chosen the You’ve Fallen For Me OST. Its OST makes me think of sunshine, happiness, sunflowers, and daisies. Really. And it features CN Blue’s Jung Yong-hwa and Kang Min-hyuk, which is one of my few favorite bands (second to the almighty Big Bang). So I hope you enjoy it as much as I have, and live this summer out as carefree and happily as the students of You’ve Fallen For Me. I’ll see you at the beach!

Chuno OST

HeadsNo2:

This is a soundtrack near and dear to my heart, not only because Chuno will always remain one of my all time favorite dramas, but because it also represents one of my favorite aspects of dramas and Dramabeans – the ability to bring people together. By melding history with modern sensibilities, it’s a drama that broke ground and appealed to a mass audience, whether they were seasoned sageuk lovers or complete newbies to the genre. No matter what our favorite genre is, we all look for stories with the ability to move us, to transport us to another world, to be thought-provoking, to give us a reason to want to gather and share our thoughts, our experiences, and our love of community. One hundred posts later, I’ve definitely come to treasure the discussion that happens here and all the wonderful insights I’ve learned from our time together, and hope you can enjoy a soundtrack that moved and inspired me as much as I did, if not more. Oh, and ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥.

Shut Up: Flower Boy Band OST

javabeans:

There are a lot of reasons for me to single out Shut Up: Flower Boy Band, like the fact that it remains, more than halfway through 2012, the drama that touched my heart the most this year. Other dramas had the big twists, the high drama, the epic conflicts, and the quirky high concepts—but Shut Up, despite its small world and small stories, had for me the sincerest connection with emotion and angst. The people felt real and the drama was fueled by that pounding, aching, fluttering and sometimes raging heart that drove its characters.

But you know what? All that aside, Shut Up: Flower Boy Band had awesome music. It had the deftest way of working its music into the plot, effectively making its soundtrack a running storyline like it was a character of its own. So there.

The King 2 Hearts OST

girlfriday:

An epic drama that managed to steal my heart in an epic way. The King 2 Hearts swept me up in its tense action, side-splitting comedy and sweet romance at every turn, and the score played a big part in keeping me enraptured in that world. It’s also a drama that reminded me of the fervor of fandom — you guys made the crazy train fun (also crazy), and I was happy to come along for the ride. This OST probably marks those few months in time — the OMG WHAT HAPPENS NEXT crack addiction — as much as the drama itself. Here’s to love in the DMZ, and sharing good dramas with friends from around the globe. Cheers.

King 2 Hearts

I'd like the K2H OST because its score is amazing! And I want some awesome music to show to my anti-Korean friends to prove to them that Korean stuff is super cool. And if they don't change their minds, I'll just turn it up loud and annoy the crap out of them.

SHINee’s “Sherlock”

I don't have a chance against SHINee's rabid fanbase, so instead I thought I'd take a minute to appreciate you, gummimochi. Gummimochi, the drama fan, who gives so much and receives so little in return.

How are you? You must be tired, having to read through all these magnificent but lengthy posts. Why not take a load off? Sit back, relax... do you have eye strain? Here, have a damp cloth, let's lie it over your eyes. That's it, just close your eyes - I'm here for you. How about a neck rub? That would be nice, wouldn't it? Let's just let all that stress flow right away, like a soothing river, a cold, calm river winding gently through the glen. Do you hear that sound, gummimochi? That's the sound of silence, of peace. Beautiful, isn't it? Would you like a foot rub, nay, a SHIN-rub? Oh, you saw what I did there. Sorry gummimochi, I didn't mean to make you laugh, slow, deep breaths, nice and easy. . . yes, that's it, let the world just fade away, fading, fading . . . where did you say you put that CD again? Oh, it's in your drawer. Top shelf, left side? Good, good. Yes, I'm very good at massages aren't I? I learned on the internet, on a very relaxing, accredited website. Close your eyes, just let your mind empty out, like that river, feel everything just float away, like a balloon now, yes, good, and. . .

YOU LET YOUR GUARD DOWN! HAHA, IT'S MINE.

Shinee's Sherlock CD please!

Shinee is one of the few Idol singers I love. Once you get past the colourful skinny jeans, they really are amazing musicians. I fell in love with their first album and would love to have an opportunity to own their latest one!

I'm also a big Hana Kimi fan (the japanese version of the upcoming drama). I also watched the taiwanese version and enjoyed it as well. I'm hoping that the korean version would not disappoint. I haven't seen minho act.. but he's a hard worker so I'm sure I will enjoy the drama.

I loved the humour in all the versions of Hana Kimi.. hope they would continue to make us laugh!

I felt the same way about it as you did. Enjoyed a light, sweet, fun show. LOVED the music and kept the music on my iTunes wishlist for a long time. It's still on my list.

I rarely ever win contests or lotteries. It would be so cool if you pick me. :)

Sherlock please! ^^

After downloading the album, it went to the top of my iTunes most played list in pretty much a day. Even though SHINee were my first kpop band, it feels a bit cheap having that as my only reason.

From a musical point of view, I felt that it was a real breakaway from some of the earlier material - and from the general feel of k-pop as a whole at the moment. They leave the heavy electronica/dubstep genre to the rookies, and carry on with what they do best: a new, fresh title track with Sherlock, and then the heartfelt, self-composed tracks Alarm Clock and Honesty - as well as all the others that tie the EP together. The album is really well put together and I would love the chance to own a physical copy.

Thank you so much! :)

I'd love to win SHINee's Sherlock.

SHINee is forever my first Kpop bias because the very first Kpop song I started to love was Ring Ding Dong. I've completely fallen in love with the group, their chemistry and cuteness (Hello Baby with SHINee was just cuteness overload, wasn't it?^^), and more than anything their musicality. They really started to get involved in their music with the Lucifer album, and I love their style. When Sherlock came out, it was on repeat on my mp3 player for days, if not weeks ^^' Btw, their song Alarm Clock is still my alarm clock every morning xD

Moreover, Hana kimi (the Japanese version of "To The Beautiful You") was my second drama (after the well named tearjerker One litter of tears), and I still love it! I even read the manga xD Since Minho is playing one of the mains, it's even more meaningful^^ I can't wait for it to start in now NINE days! :D Hope you'll review it!

You’ve Fallen For Me OST

Sorry, I don't have any sweet, uplifting, cute anecdotes to relate, all I can say is that I think I deserve this CD because the drama-gods OWE me! Have you ever dedicated over 16 HOURS to a series that you end up absolutely despising in the end?! Because, oh yes, I have, and its name was YOU'VE FALLEN FOR ME. Something that started out with such potential, such promise, was guilty of almost every grievance in the book! Oh, you have a talented scene-stealing side-character? Why not relegate him to the side-lines? Oh, not demeaning enough? Let's give him an idiotic love-line when he should be involved in the main triangle - a main triangle, no, RECTANGLE, that didn't manage to grab me no matter how many stupid shapes they threw at it. AND THE ENDING. Oh lord have mercy, my rage knows no bounds...

BUT the OST, yes, lovely. Wonderful. Thank goodness these people could actually sing. Frankly the music was the only thing that kept me sane during those long, frustrating hours when all I could do was hurl insults at the screen, and pull out my hair. I should at least be compensated for time wasted/spent if I can't get all my beautiful flowing locks back.

So yeah, thanks, I look forward to receiving it in the mail.

Oh, you mean I didn't get it, you chose someone else? Well now, count me unsurprised. Typical, stupid, annoying drama: You're determined to screw me over till the very end, aren't you? Oh yeah, well, screw YOU! =P

Thank you Dramabeans family for doing another giveaway! We love you for your writing but your generosity is also much appreciated! Here is my entry.

Shut Up: Flower Boy Band OST

In a Dramaland saturated with genius chaebols and klutzy Candys as our leading men and women, Shut Up was a breath of fresh air and had a heartstring-tugging tale to tell. At the centre of it all, there were realistic friendships that had its trials as the friends felt jealousy, inadequacy and distrust against each other but no matter how far away they seemed to drift apart, which just about broke my heart when they seemed irreconcilable, the friends found a way to reach out to each other. But the kicker for me that cemented Shut Up's status as my top 2012 drama (so far) was that unlike many other dramas that aired this year whose finale left much to be desired of, Shut Up hit all the right notes for me from start to finish. The soundtrack perfectly complemented the moments within the drama and brought me as the viewer that much closer to what the feelings the drama's story was evoking, which is what I think the perfect soundtrack should be capable of doing. The fact that this is partially a Loveholic(s) work is just icing on the cake for me :)

Chuno: A drama so riveting I couldn't stop watching even during final exams. It was the drama where I discovered Park Ki Woong's amazing acting at being deranged, and Jang Hyuk's blasé badass attitude and fighting skills. I found myself connecting with Un Nyun about how she was afraid the world wouldn't change, and wishing I had a Dae Gil of my own. Most importantly the story of Eop Bok was one that really touched my heart. The thought that one small, insignificant "slave" could change the world--and the price of him losing his love forever as a result--is a powerful narrative. More than the main couple, I really felt my heart wrench over Eop Bok and Cho Bok while simultaneously feeling proud of him.

Chuno OST

This is actually the only drama I haven't seen, but since I've been trying to win all the other OSTs, I felt bad skipping this one, so here's me, throwing my hat into the ring. Oh, that's clever. There are horses up there, so that actually works doesn't it? Is this drama about Korean cowboys? Did I get it right in one go?!

Sorry, I don't really know what I'm talking about. I don't even like pumpkins. But if you want to give me a free CD, I won't say no. Never look a gift horse in the mouth, that's what I always say. . . even if I don't. But boy, idioms sure are fun! Should I take this time to list some of my favorites?! No? But are you sure, I mean absolutely, positively - oh, you are? Okay then, good luck with the judging. [Don't] break a leg!

(haha, I snuck one more in!)

You Have Fallen For Me OST
I really loved the fusion of modern and saeguk music and everytime I hear the song "Star" it makes my day brighter and I can feel the happy tunes carry me through my day.
I would love to win this so I can play this CD in my car whenever I am driving and always find a reason to smile and be happy.
For me, I have fallen for the catchy and spunky tunes of this OST :)

Well. First off, I most definitely need to thank the whole Dramabeans Staff for providing us with these gifts each time. I believe this is my fifth or sixth time trying out and in each contest I've tried out, I bring my hopes up and I've been let down. So this time, I'm going to try not to think about it as much and go with the flow.

This time, I will be trying out for The King 2 Hearts CD. This was my all-time favorite drama. I have never experienced seeing such a good drama and enjoying it so much that I am so addicted to it. For both the MNET'S 20's Choice Awards, I went and voted every single day and I thought my fingers would fall off. And just yesterday the Seoul International Awards voting polls ended. Although Lee Seung Gi stayed behind in second place, Ha Ji Won managed to pass and received 1st. I still am waiting for the end of the year awards and I can't wait! Time for me to vote again!!

The King 2 Hearts was a mix of thriller, comedy and suspense. Eun Shi Kyung was a delightful addition to the group with his eagerness and loyalty to Lee Jae Ha. Lee Jae Shin, with her spunky attitude really was cute together with Eun Shi Kyung and when he passed away, I cried bucketfuls of tears along with the thought that he maybe could come back to life. Ha Ji Won was great at portraying Kim Hang Ah and she really played the part quite well. Her dialect and interesting personality really drew me in. And who can forget about our Lee Jae Ha. His attitude in the first part of the drama really wanted me to punch him however after him realizing he need Hang Ah by his side really tugged at my heart.

Coming home after school each Wednesday and Thursday was a great pleasure for me. Watching the drama and trying to understand the whole concept really was worth it. Waiting until almost 12:00 for girlfriday's recaps was what got me through the days of SAT Prep and finals. Although the drama ended before the finals had started, I rewatched it almost every single day. I have started the drama all over again and I am on episode 18 where Hang Ah and Jae Ha finally meet at the Chinese Prison. This was the most heartwarming scene and if the writer were to kill Hang Ah off the drama, I probably would have got on a plane to Korea and protest outside of MBC Building.

I guess I have babbled a bit too much this time. After writing this, if I am able to receive the CD, I think I'll probably give it to my sister because she enjoyed the drama a lot more than me and she doesn't even know about the contest. So if I do get the CD, this will be a birthday gift for her on Sunday. Keke. Well, thank you Ms. Girlfriday for reading this very long comment. And I thank the rest of the Dramabeans staff as well. Thank You. Now, I must resume watching The King 2 Hearts.

SHINee's Sherlock!
I was introduced to KPop through Big Bang and have been listening to various artists for a while. However recently I have utterly and completely fallen in love with SHINee. I've always liked their music. Everything from the rhythm to their individual voices during their solo parts, Jonghyun's beautiful high notes to Minho's resounding low melodies. Their dancing is also fascinating. Their capability in flexibility and coordination have produced some of the most memorable dance moves in KPop history. And I'm sure that almost everyone agrees with me on this, but they are stunning and gorgeous. I can't help but fangirl every time they appear in the media or elsewhere. I've always had trouble identifying KPop group members, but SHINee was one of the first that I made an effort to painstakingly identify each member's name, voice, body, and so forth. Superficiality aside, I've also gotten to see their personalities. I've been watching SHINee's Hello Baby and that is when I lost most of my brain cells and fell head over heels. They ceased to just be good singers and dancers, they morphed into actual solid humans in my heart. Key, the adoring mother; Minho, the loving father; Taemin, the all knowledgeable peer; Jonghyun, the cool hyung; and Onew, the shy but passionate admirer from afar. Their actual selves seemed to shine through in their interaction with the baby, and as I watch other shows that they have been on, the dynamics within the group have led me to absolutely adore them as more than just idols, but as people. Thus, I would like to receive their Sherlock mini-album, as dedication for my newfound love and admiration for SHINee. Also so I can at least enjoy myself while listening to their music and doing schoolwork at the same time.

Shut Up: Flower Boy Band OST

Well, I think I deserve this CD because. . .

Hey wait a minute! You're reading my name and saying "no way in hell" aren't you? Fine, that's okay, that's alright. I'll just follow my idol, Byung Hee, and go get hit by a car. PEOPLE WILL MISS ME YOU KNOW! I'll leave an impact - I'll inspire millions, just you watch! The screams this injustice will spawn will make its own kind of music - a melody that will ride the waves of the wind, overtaking the sun and sink into the hearts of all the oppressed, downtrodden, and thirsty.

Crap. I could really go for a coffee right now.

What? :/

Shut Up Flower Boy Band:

A drama that's realistic, adventurous and emotional. The raw relationships between the characters are full of depth and colour that I felt like I knew them and was joining them on this beautiful journey that had a really satisfying ending.

I would love to win this CD because this is a soundtrack that I feel close to at heart. Since I'm currently going through that passage of growing up and making future affecting decisions, the feeling of being lost in this strange, fast paced world where you are being judged by others is something we can all relate to. I love the lyrical meaning behind "Wake Up", and "Jaywalking" always has me singing along.

Even till this date thinking about the drama, especially Lee Min Ki's character, who never fails to make me teary! I adored the bromance, kind of obvious why lol XD It just really warmed my heart to see the group of friends smile, open up and laugh with each other.

The OST sorts of reflects the bitter-sweet love I have towards SUFBB. I love it so much, I find it difficult to rewatch because it makes me emotional. But I have no regrets because I SHUT UP AND LOVE IT! ^_^

King 2 Hearts~

This drama got me through my junior year of high school, i was my hardest 2 months of school ever for me. Everyday i woke up at 5:45 every morning got ready and then went to school from 7:30am to 2:00pm, then i would stay at school for an after school program that will help me with college prep and ACT, with that 3 out of the 5 school days i was in drivers ed which is 3 hours after school and the college prep class was every Monday and Wednesday, with piano on Tuesday and drivers ed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. so i was after school on till sometimes 6:00 everyday, this is not even counting the home work from AP and IB classes i was taking. One ting that kept me from going totally insane was The King 2 Hearts... this drama aloud me to live some were else for a good hour, it was a balanced drama with drama and also comedy and it was put in the right places not allover the place, with Le seung gi never failing to make me laugh out loud at his unbelievable way of showing people that he cared. Ha ji Won being that strong but also cute and naive. The development of all the characters. They are one of the on screen couples that you could on tell they had a huge age gap, and the chemistry was perfect. Each story that was placed made sense. I never missed a week i would even watch with out subs, and the OST...even after the drama is over i can still remember that OST it makes me smile and i have never had an OST before so this would be great to start off my collection with. Sorry for the babbling!

Thank you for listening!!!

You’ve Fallen For Me OST

I like a lot of Drama OSTs but to me this is one of my favorites. I think because of the blend between modern pop and rock tunes as well as that of pansori. This concept really worked well for me especially because dramas don't tend to over use it.

The music in this drama made watching it so nice. It was fresh and it was different. This drama's OST had bright happy songs as well as the sad songs. And (to include biases) I loved that Min Hyuk sang in this drama.. He's such an adorable guy (wink wink)!

My pick: Shut Up Flower Boy Band

I'm in my 40s now, and, boy, does time fly! I'm grateful for this particular show because it reminded me of that fleeting time when I was a teenager, confused, wanting to rebel (being Asian kinda reins you in, compared to the normal average America teenager), and trying to find your place in the sun. The friendship we have at the time is truly what helps you survive the tumultous teenage years. That friendship was what taught us about the meaning of loyalty and integrity, about forgiving, and about what really matters in life. All of which were poignantly depicted in this drama.

You’ve Fallen For Me OST

I like a lot of Drama OSTs but to me this is one of my favorites. I like how this drama was able to take modern pop and rock tunes and blended it together with the traditional Korean pansori. It works really good for me especially because dramas don't over use it.

The music/songs in this drama made watching it worthwhile. It was fresh and it was different. This drama's OST had bright happy songs as well as the sad songs. And (to include biases) I loved that Min Hyuk sang in this drama.. He's such an adorable guy (wink wink)! The songs made it memorable drama.

Shut Up: Flower Boy Band OST

Oh boy, where do I begin? (and please excuse me if this ends up being a total word vomit because sometimes I just have so many /feelings/ and I ramble -sobs-)

Anyways, I am going to admit straight out that I am horrible at watching and finishing dramas, which is why I love this site and its recaps. (The number of dramas I've seen up to episode 7-10 and then stopped at is actually depressing WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME and why do I get so distracted?!) That being said, I faithfully followed this drama through the weeks, waiting for episodes to air and get subbed. That is, until exam season hit, and even then I snuck in a few episodes when I probably should've been reviewing ;__; It is, and will likely remain, one of my all time favourite shows.

Being a teenager on the cusp of adulthood myself, I really felt that I could connect with the characters on an emotional level. No, the issues and conflicts in my life are no where near as dramatic or angst-ridden; but the core emotions of insecurity, fear of change, and the desire to go to great lengths to preserve the dynamics of your friendships amidst these great changes... yeah. Got me there. I guess you can also say that I lived the rebellious teenage life vicariously through Eye Candy since I myself am rather mild-mannered and bland.

So along with the great story and writing came the music. The music and songs of this drama were so integral to the plot that I can't help but hear them and feel like I'm reliving the drama all over again. So it'd be pretty awesome to have a physical copy of the cd because I am a weird, oldschool kid who actually still has a walkman to listen to my cds with, especially when I'm studying and my laptop will be too much of a distraction ;u;

Yeah, I should probably stop here. Sorry for making you read this huge wall of text javabeans! And thank you to the entire dramabeans crew for holding this giveaway and for running this site, it's very much appreciated <3

I’m fairly new but a big fan of kdramas and have recently taken the plunge into kpop. I was surprised to find kpop even more addictive than kramas. It’s actually almost scary. I’ve purchased a couple of individual song from itunes but I don’t own an actual album of any kpop group yet. I’d love to have SHINee become my very first kpop album.

I would love to have the Shut Up Flower Boy Band OST. The characters felt real. The emotions felt real. And it just gets me in the heart every time I think about it. I love that the drama was truly about the relationships between each of them.

You can truly feel the emotions of the characters. It was amazing the way that the drama was able to tie in the storyline with the music. Music wasn't just a background selection, but it truly tied in to the characters and feelings of that moment. I was even able to get past Lee Min Ki's rendition of Not In Love. I absolutely love his rendition of the song and the heart that goes in to it, even though sometimes I have absolutely no clue what he's saying.

The drama carries so much heart, and the music is able to convey that feeling.

Chuno OST

chuno is my first joseon drama and my all time favorite one. i had heard a lot about it but i never thought about watching it becazse well i thought it would be boring. however one boring day i watched it and i was like "why took it me so long to watch this thing". at that time i think i finished the drama in 3 or 4 days. chuno made my cry a lot. ahh when i think about the tears....th OSTs were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. sometimes i'm still listening to some songs on my phone :D

with this drama i got to know jang hyuk, oh ji oh and so i fell even more into dramas. the start of my love for joseon dramas :D

oh one more thing: thank you guys for writing recaps for dramas and variety shows. even though i watch them i still come and read your articles. thank you guys :D

SHINee's "Sherlock" album.

I am an injured tennis player and currently have been going through physical therapy and acupuncture treatments for the past two years. SHINee has been a big part of the recovery process

For physical therapy, I like to listen to the SHINee songs on my iPod. The catchy hooks and Jonghyun's mindblowing adlibs always distract me from the sometimes painful and tedious exercises that I must do.

Lately, "Sherlock" is the album to go to. I love the high energy songs like "Sherlock", "Clue", and "Note" and the slight decrescendo into songs like "The Reason".

And thank you dramabeans for hosting such a fun giveaway! :)

I'm SO glad Heads decided to give away a Chuno OST. Among the CDs being given away, it's the one I would love to have the most. Why? Let me count the ways, er, whys.

First, Chuno was my first foray into sageuk dramas, and boy, was it ever beautiful--the cinematography, the flawed-yet-perfectly-human characters, the chiseled bodies (HOMAYGAHHHD), the beautiful actors and actresses, the intense acting, the awesome bromance, and so, so much more. As such, it has spoiled my standards for what sweeping historical dramas should be. I'd be lying if I said it's THE best sageuk out there (it isn't), but it's still the first, the one that has captured my heart and soul and made me cry to depths that I have never gone to ever since. It's become my measuring stick for the sageuks to come, and while it may have already been taken off the pedestal by another sageuk drama, Chuno still holds that teeny, tiny corner in my heart that will solely be for that drama.

BUT that's the drama. When it comes to sweeping, dramatical, most amazing soundtrack ever, Chuno wins. I don't think I've ever loved a soundtrack just as much as I have loved Chuno's. Change by Gloomy 30's was the perfect song for the fight scenes as well as the runaway scenes, creating such high tension for the runaways as well as our glorious slave hunters. Im Jae Bum's Stigma won my heart out during that epic last scene in the first episode where Daegil rides to look for Un Nyun. But it was the heart-wrenching song that Seolhwa plays on her haegeum that grabs my heart and squeezes all the emotions out each. and. every. single. time. Just, ugh. Even if someone watched Chuno and quit midway through or maybe even finished it and hated it to the core, I'm pretty sure they'd still say the soundtrack was beautiful and made Chuno alive and real.

(Heh, this got pretty long. Winning the soundtrack would be a plus, but I just really wanted to share my thoughts on the awesome Chuno soundtrack. Cheers.)

Not only that they grew on me eve since their Ring Ding Dong time, with JongDino appa, Key best eomma ever, Minho the competitive appa, the forever scared father-Onew and more-like-a-brother-appa Taemin on their 'Hello Baby', but they grew on me because they kep being the same old SHINee I got to know back in 2009 :) They're true to what they are and true to their fans, even though they lost a huge amount of Shawols with their juniors debut TT.TT
And this...this album was a piece of art! I mean, they went daring this time and changed their usual style to 360 degrees! I really really admired their efforts! Not to mentions their live stages...And I got sad when I saw the high prices of the CD TT.TT I could never affort soemthing like that. So, if I were to win, then please give me SHINee's 'Sherlock'! Thank you!^^
And goodluck to everybody!^^

"What's a hootenanny?"

I opened dramabeans and what did I see?
They're giving away lots of stuff for free!
Is it really gummimochi's anniversary,
or their monthly makgeolli-drinking-spree?

Gummimochi's prize CD reminded me
when I thrust my pelvis to this song by Shinee.
Ignoring weird looks from my family
and singing "Rling ding dong" with a touch of crazy.

The second cd: almost everyone wants,
so I won't compete with rabid fans.
But I'd be happy if kaedejun announced
she relinquishes her claim to Park Shi Hoo's buns.

HeadsNo2 shames me at how nice she is
to part with something that gave her bliss.
Sadly, my generosity only amounts to this:
a copy of Dr Jin for my annoying little sis.

Shut Up! Flower Boy Band. Need I say more?
Even this show's cameo pools my drool on the floor.
Whoever said flower boys come in groups of four
was lying so she can grab one and run out the door.

The King 2 Hearts. 2 Amazing. 2 Sad.
(The death of Earnest still makes me mad.)
Won't listening to the OST just make you feel bad?
Or is this the only comfort to be had?

Twenty-four lines later, I'm still undecided.
And the girls are cursing me for being long-winded.
"We *hic* to read more comments, mary!
So stop *hic* damn nonsense if it isn't an entry!"

(PS Really not an entry. Just thought you'd like a break from reading serious stuff. :D)

Does it come with The Making of Dr Jin's Surgery Scenes? Because I want to make blood spurt out of fake necks and also build prosthetic abs!

I would absolutely LOVE to own the Shut Up: Flower Boy Band OST, because that drama has so been exactly my kind of crack this year.

Not only do all of the characters have places in my heart, but I feel as though everything that they went through had just as big of an impact on me. Byung-hee's death, their rise in popularity, their troubles with the company and sometimes each other, but above all, their unwavering loyalty to each other - that was what ultimately made the show so memorable to me.

Each of their songs have a significance to the band as a whole - Jaywalking, not only the last song Byung-hee wrote for the band, but also the song they performed that skyrocketed them into the eyes of the public and became their first single. Wake up was their second single, desperately composed by the band so that they wouldn't become the puppets of the music industry, so that they could keep their band identity true to who they were.

Every single one of their songs is part of their journey from their lives as street performers to their not-so-simple ones as a band with a contract, struggling with the stresses of both their rise in popularity and dealing with the animosity of people who want those very things.

Sooooo, that's why I want this CD. ^_^ (also, because I looo~ve everyone in the band, and their music is just unbearably awesome, and it would make me feel a lot less pathetic to actually listen to the CD instead of opening Dramabeans and listening to the posted soundtracks, but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.)

And lastly, thank you, everyone on Dramabeans for dedicating the time (which is woefully little, thanks to that stupid time-space continuum) to blog all things kdrama and kpop! We appreciate it!

Shut Up: Flower Boy Band -> a drama with great execution, storyline, and conflict without cutting any corners. It was a drama that I felt very much emotionally invested. Plus, the great music doesn't hurt, and I must say this drama has a good soundtrack. My favorites are "how come," "today", and "jaywalking." :)

Shut Up Flower Boy Band OST

I want this album because I really enjoyed this drama. At first, I only watched it because I was curious about L's acting, but I fell in love with Sung Joon's character! He did a superb job with Ji Hyuck. I love all the little quirks and gesture and how he's surprisingly shy for a "bad boy." I also really like the songs in the show especially Wake Up. Thanks for doing this giveaway and all the recaps you guys do! :))
