More tears for I Miss You’s leads

It’d be nice if they could just release these all at once, but then I suppose that defeats the purpose of a teaser being a tease. More poster stills are out for upcoming melodrama I Miss You, this time featuring leads Yoochun and Yoon Eun-hye and their respective turns at the Rainy Window of Pain. I guess if you’ve got a theme, you should use it. Again and again. And again.

It’s a beautifully executed concept though, which makes me really excited about the potential look of the show. And on a shallow note, I have to say, I’m really looking forward to 20 episodes of Yoochun in normal hair. The mane o’ shame is pretty much the last image stuck in my brain, and there’s just no undoing that once it’s in there.

So far the promotional material for this show isn’t giving me much hope for the light and cheery aspects of the characters that were touted before, but I suppose we’re not going to get any smiley shots for a conventional melodrama. It’s a classic first-love-gone-wrong story: they meet and fall in love at fifteen, she carries a scar from a huge tragedy in her life, and he carries the guilt from being too young to protect her from it at the time.

We can only hope that a decade of brooding at their rainy windows will lead to a different result when they cross paths again as adults. Prepare your hankies, and extra points if you watch by a rainy window of your own.

The countdown begins: I Miss You premieres next Wednesday on MBC.

Like what I said before, I am looking forward for this upcoming movie of Park Yoochun, last night I watched some teaser of this movie, I think I am going to love it, I am more interesting about their acting how to handle their respective role and how they compliment to each other.

In addition, I am also looking forward to your recaps and of course your comments in every episode and your final verdict on this movie.

Good luck to all the cast and hoping that we will enjoy from episode 1 up to episode 20.... See you on the 1st episode this coming November 07, 2012 :) Thank You.

It hasn't even started and I'm already in depression overloads with I-missed-You-That-Winter-When-The-Winds-Blows.

actually, I don't mind the journey of tears, as long as it's a good story and at the end I felt an emotional payoff and all the pain was worth it.

imo, a poor example would be "Thousand Day Promise" Lots of pain and sadness, but no story and at the end felt no emotional payoff.

K. Very good looking cast all around. These stills of the leads are nice, but, bias: Yoo Seungho. Hehheh. And here I thought myself a proponent of the anti noona-dongseng movement. ~

Wow... this drama looks so intense. At first I wasn't sure about this one - love the male leads, but YEH has had some hits and misses. She totally shined in Coffee Prince and cute rom coms, but wasn't sure about such as serious role. However, after watching the preview I think I'll check this one out! The younger cast are strong actors too, so it'll kick off the storyline right away.

The 1 that got away and first love went wrong are always lured me into watching and experiencing the emotional roller coaster ride, that sadly, I do enjoy it from time to time... Ugh, doesn't sound rite, isn't it? Truth is, melodrama is an excuse for me to shed a tear.. no, scratch that, tons of tears.

Looking forward to YEH new project, always love her from the beginning.. and a chance to see the mighty Jade Emperor brooding and evil-ing, while Micky is also brooding and gloomying over lost love..

*Tissues = stocked*

Man, I love all these actors, but I don't know if I can take another melo. I managed to stay away until Nice Guy, and I'm a little way through episode 10 and I know it's still got some major shenanigans.

Do they end well? Ever?

I was going to avoid this one completely, but the teaser photos are soo beautiful and melancholy. (T.T) I think I'll be following the recaps of this one rather than drowning in my own tears. I can't stand melo, but these teasers are slowly luring me in!!

Same case with me. But for some reason, I've seen more dramas of YEH than my ultimate favorite, Ha Ji Won. Also, intend to root for characters YEH played, most especially the one in vineyard man - the one drama with the most satisfying ending I've ever watched.

Yoochun, though, I can never watch. Maybe that's the price for being a db5k/jyj fan. I can never see him as an actor, same with Jaejoong. (although...I did watch Mozart/Xiahzart, and Junsu I can see as a musical actor). Point is...idt I will watch this drama but am hoping for the best for chun.

Forgive me for saying this, but I don't really understand your last paragraph. What exactly is preventing you from seeing Yoochun or Jaejong as an actor?

I just see them as singers/dancers and the goofy, dorky selves they usually present to their fans. It's just hard for me to separate them from the characters they play. It's like watching their Vacation drama: it's still park yoochun in this scene; it's still kjj speaking the dialogue. I'm sure I'm one of the few who feels like this.

whoa completely different with me.. im a cassie too..i cant see yoochun in Sunkyungkwan scandal but miss ripley is a failure, is see yoochunie in it..in rooftop prince i still can see yoochun because of the goofy style character but rlly sometimes i cant even remember im watching yoochun the idol..totally poof..great acting.. im sensing this drama will turn out good..u just have to forget being a cassie for awhile when ur watching it, thats wat i did...and vacation,,hahaha LOL so weird in that

@gala, I see, thanks for explaining. I don't know dbsk or jyj really, the only music I know from jyj are the music from SKKS. Didn't know Yoochun when I first saw him in SKKS. But I have no problems looking at singers as actors... but only if they're actually good at acting!

0

pity... i love yoochun but not a fan of YEH. the girl can act and i always root for the character that she plays but i cant ever find myself liking her in general... she somehow irritates me when i see her pictures or her name being menton.

His eyes aren't doing it for me. The depth that Yoo Seung-ho and Yoon Eun-hye eyes carry in their posters seem to be altogether missing from Yoochun's. But, he had pleasently surprised me with his performance in Rooftop Prince, so I hope he will do the same here.

Ya, Yoochun's eyes are not as angsty in these posters as the others. But if you watch the teaser that someone linked to in the first comment, you will get the angsty eyes from Yoochun in action, so I have no doubt he will do fine.

Rainy Pane of Pain?

I think they used the same guy who made the QIHM trailer,
both JHW and YIA were stuck behind the pane of pain - except it wasn't rainy on that day.

I have never been a fan of Yoon Eun Hye...but I could see her being far less annoying in a melo role vs a plucky rom-com. Looking forward to seeing Yoochun though continue to shine with his acting.

I'm with you. You know the heavy's going to last for 20 episodes without interruption (5Fingers anyone?). Just imagining someone being sad and angry and stuck 24/7 makes me laugh. Basically, I don't click with those kind of stories which appear less realistic than the cheesier rom-com ever.

This is random, but Yoochun's head looks really weird in the first photo.

I am oddly excited for this drama although I know it will be a tear-fest and I will wanna shake my computer screen MANY times, but I'm looking forward to it. If nothing else, it has 2 cute boys in it :)

The teasers definitely look promising for the execution of the show, but I have to admit, at this point, the gloomy window of perpetual sadness is producing something along the lines of a rake gag for me. Not that it was funny in the beginning, but at this point I'm giggling at the sheer amount of times they've reused the theme over the course of the last few weeks.

see I've always thought entertainment posters should instead of giving away the mood of the movie or what not show the exact opposite. so in stead of moody rainy window of pain we should be getting bright happy rainy window of rainbows and unicorns.

Wow! Despite being broody and gloomy, the stills so far have been really pretty (the kids, Yoo Seung Ho, and now Yoochun and Yoon Eun Hye). And to be honest, I think this is the best Yoochun hairstyle since the beginning of his career. I think he looks best in a clean short cut as opposed to the idol-style hair long hair he's taken on several times. And Yoon Eun Hye is just pretty all around.

I can't wait to watch this one. I REALLY don't like melos (as I've repeated many times), but I've completely caught up with Nice Guy and have fallen into the angsty suspense... so maybe I'll be able to make it through this one too. I saw the teaser and it is a big bad cry fest coming up.

At least there will be Flower Boy Next Door to quell the melo mood in January after all these melos...

anicheung-I don't know if I can handle the melo argh, I vote we just not watch and spare our hearts being ripped at with a dull spoon and just come over here and look at the pretty faces in the recap stills if it's recapped. That's my plan.

Ah, yes, I too am taking my space in the queue awaiting the January Flower Boy. Yay. I'm torn tho, semester will start when the show starts. Aish! K dramas always trying to subvert my matriculation!

I'm already waist deep into Nice Guy, so there's no hope for me. I hadn't planned on watching it at first, but ended up doing so (for the most shallow reasons though: Song Joong Ki's pretty boy face despite him being so creepily soulless in majority of the series, as well as for the appearance of Xiah Junsu's newest song). Then I just kept watching because of the suspense, was going to give up nearing the middle because it seemed to drag, but then when the new twist on the amnesia plot came around, I stuck with it.

But I DO NOT look forward to my heart being ripped at with melos (especially now that I've seen the teaser). So I'll probably be playing another game of "How long can I avoid this melo before I plunge into it?" It's like I'm a glutton for punishment or something... *sigh*

In the past, I've always been able to avoid the melos and just read about them; K-drama's success in roping me into the last few ones: the pretty boys. They really know what they're doing. lol Yes. I am THAT easily persuaded...
