I actually really loved the fifteen mins when the couple quarreled. I enjoyed their very real chemistry and it gave me an insight to Dok Mi's character which gave it depth.

She has never received love before.
To have someone wanting to love her, wanting to spend their lives with her seems too good to be true. What if it is sympathy, not love?
What if he leaves again? What if this doesn’t work out, how will she ever pick herself up again? It’s better to stop here and now. It’s better to think of this as a dream, a fairy who came by and touched her life. A transient presence to bring out of darkness into the light, but is gone once the dawn comes.
She thinks of him as the one who saved her. Little did she realize that he was saved by her too. That she was not only the receiver, but also the giver. And she gave him love. It was not as one way as it seemed.

Love… is looking at the world from each other’s perspectives. Not becoming the other and losing yourself, but understanding and being able to walk around in his/her shoes. 이해하다 . A deep knowing.

First time leaving a comment! I am so glad I've come across your blog, it helps me pick up on things I miss while watching the episodes. Plus you all are quite funny writers. Anyways, this episode was all over the place! I understand que-geum and dok mi reversing to understand each other, and it was cute. But, ugh the fanclub is annoying me sooo much. Such hateful people. What do we expect from dramas though, they need the outrageous to fuel the story. And I wish the japanese neighbor had more face time. He's so adorable. Crossing my fingers on this last episode, hope its good!

Thanks for the recap.
I am so excited to be watching this show week to week instead of marathon-ing because I'm experiencing the dramabeans community firsthand. Go, us!

I think this sentiment is very well-stated. To me, the sasaeng fans are symbolic, an outward manifestation of Dok-Mi's own negative self-thoughts. The way she deals with them is about her conquering her own negative self-image. When she can confidently tell them to get lost, it will mean she was able to convince herself she deserves love and Enrique.

I completely disagree, Javabeans. The conflict for the couple in the last few episodes has not been one of them fighting the gamer fans at all. It was about Dok Mi dealing with the fact the Enrique might be sacrificing something really important for Her. She doesn't feel like she's worth it. It ties in to what she was saying at the zoo, how she doesn't know how to love herself. They also mentioned it a couple times in this episode. THAT was the main conflict, no some rude antifans. You never see her reading angry twitter posts or having traumatic flashbacks of the "Go Die!" message on her door. The antifans are just a way to highlight to the other characters that Enrique may be givin up something in exchange for maintaining his relationship with Dok Mi. It's about her reflecting on the value of self-worth.
