javabeans: Finally, the moment we’ve been waiting for: Our first glimpse at the hero of Gu Family Book! (That’s Lee Seung-gi, like you didn’t know.) And he’s wearing his sageuk wig!

girlfriday: It’s Puppy! In a pony! Okay, that sounds wrong.

javabeans: Take that back! That’s a mental image I really wish I could unthink.

girlfriday: *too busy cooing*

javabeans: I actually think that’s the best hair he’s ever had in a drama. Maybe in real life too.

girlfriday: I KNOW! Who knew??

javabeans: Well, the bar was kind of low. He’s adorable, but I don’t know why he has had such dorky/oddball/messy/bowl-cut hairdos.

girlfriday: Maybe it’s on purpose, like to make you grateful when he does clean up nice. Banjun hair.

javabeans: Also on that list: Yoochun. Those boys just need the right stylist. (Example: Yoochun’s latest Singles spread. Although the hair isn’t really the highlight.) I’d really like to tell both of them: It’s okay to look hot 100 percent of the time. Really really.

girlfriday: Hey, why are you inserting YOUR puppy in news about MY puppy?

javabeans: Okay, I’ll let YOU explain to the DB crowd why you vetoed pretty pictures.

girlfriday: *has no defense*

javabeans: *wins yet again* *keeps tally*

girlfriday: I’m just breathing a huge sigh of relief. Was honestly really nervous about Seung-gi and his first mane o’ glory.

javabeans: I’m not sure it quite qualifies as mane of glory though… maybe ponytail of cuteness. Like a Bichon. Which is fitting.

girlfriday: Clearly we need better hair vocabulary. Pony of Power?

javabeans: *groaaaans*

girlfriday: YOU come up with a better one then!

javabeans: Yoochun’s buzzcut of….? I got nuthin’. This is an unwinnable game.

girlfriday: Either that or we haven’t had enough to drink. Beanies, help us out!

javabeans: With the naming, we mean, not the drinking. We’ve got that one covered.

when I first saw the headlines, I had a vision of Yoo-chun's disaster of a sageuk hair from rooftop prince and had shudders in anticipation of Seungi's crap hair. BUT! Seungi's hair looks so adorbs and he look tons younger. And gosh Yoo-chun's buzz cut is sizzling hot.

LOL I think I need a break. I saw Lee Sung Gi in his new hairdo and thought that he looked totally like the young female teacher from Dream High. I went on to google her name only to realize that they indeed played siblings in King 2 Hearts. Just, back then I didn't notice any resemblance.

Yoochun does look fine, I think he photographs really well. I prefer his hair in the ELLE shoot he did in Bali though! That was really really hot.

seung gi looks cute and my yoochun oppa look hot. i am rewatching sungkyunkwan scandal right now and how come I fall in love withhim all over again and perhaps even more this time. but talk about hair, i miss his mirotic hair , he looks hot in that style.

I'm way more weirded out about the uncomfortable stance in Yoochun's second photo. The attitude of the neck is not quite right. I could see a character using Mickey's hair style but not sure it's right for a singer. And definitely yes, a granny could wear that hairstyle.

As for Seung-gi... great mane of glory.

not feeling lee seung gi's ponytail . . . way too girly, but oh well, he's so cute he can pull it off if i close one eye and squint out of the other one.

yoochun looks hot with the short crop though! lucky for me there were no shots of him with a smexy smouldering look, i'd probably have kissed my computer screen . . .

Huh, I did not expect that buzzcut hair on PYC, i thought you'd compare LSG & PYC in a sageuk hair.

I.. erm, actually like PYC's hair.. (teehee, never thought I'd say that) It didn't do nothin on me at first look but when I scrolled back up to take a good look, I was taken aback by his smouldering eyes.

All I could think of when I saw that photo of Seung-gi was, whoa, flashback...late 90's messy bun. Evey teen girl had that 'do going on lol.

Ha! Who was looking at Yoochun's hair in those photos? I wasn't crazy about the buzz when I first saw he'd done it. but I found out with this set of photos that I had this thought- it's Park effing Yoochun making with the pretty. Yeah. I'm happy. And you know how uh, satisfying it is to run your fingers through hair like that and make it stand straight up. Just sayin, thoughts.

I love this post! Seung-gi is so cute. I can't take him seriously as a man, lol.

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one who agonizes over Yoochun's horrible hair choices sometimes. When I was first learning the guys in DBSK, Yoochun was literally "the one whose hair they can't get right." I totally ignored him until I watched him in SKKS.

Yoochun is looking street. Kinda hard. Very unpuppy-ish. He's all grown up now *sob...whereas Lee Seung Gi looks like an adorable fluffily chihuahua. Or at least, the mane looks like one. I mean look at the tail...so fluffy. :P
